It was a blessing when we found Jocelyn and hired her to photograph our wedding day. The thing with Jocelyn is that she is genuinely in love with her work. She never stops photographing, whether for work or play.

Jocelyn is also possibly the most personable and sweetest person on the planet--EVER. Customer service is as effortless and natural for her as an eagle soaring above the clouds.

Her patience with family and friends at the wedding was amazing. We never felt rushed or put out.

Finally, her professionalism is top of the line. Payments, communications, stress reduction, whatever you need, you get. As a professional video producer and photographer, I (the groom) am very impressed with her work and every aspect of her business.

I could not have been more pleased with the quality of Jocelyn's work. Many people have positively remarked on my wedding photos, which turned out even better than I had imagined.

Jocelyn is the utmost professional--pleasant, super accommodating, and responsive. She really enjoys her work, and it shows. I never once felt uneasy in her presence, and as a result, she was able to capture some unforgettable moments of my wedding. She helped me map out a plan of what photos I wanted and when. I recommend paying for a second photographer to accompany her the day of--we were able to get some great shots of my husband getting ready that way, as well as detail shots. We chose to get the master DVD of all of the images and have since created photobooks that turned out beautifully. I recommend Jocelyn with absolutely no hesitation and feel fortunate to have chosen her as my wedding photographer.

Unfortunately (for us, not her!) Jocelyn was unable to photograph our wedding because she had a baby. She gave us plenty of notice and helped us find another photographer who we also loved. She gave us a free engagement session for our "trouble" - which she really didn't have to do - and the pictures were simply amazing. We had people tell us that they were the best engagement photos they had ever seen multiple times. She is responsive, sweet, has a great easy going personality and her photos are just incredible. I cannot recommend her more.

Jocelyn is such a wonderful photographer. She's incredibly personable and we felt so comfortable with her when we met her at our initial consultation. We were set to book with her when she told us she was pregnant with her second child. Of course we were happy for her and her husband, but we couldn't help but be disappointed that she wouldn't be our wedding photographer!

Luckily, we found a wonderful photographer for the big day and Jocelyn offered to do a free engagement shoot for us to make up for not shooting our big day. She came down from Baltimore to northern Virginia for the shot and had the photos to us the next day! We felt so comfortable with her at our shoot, she has a great shooting style.

She even threw in a free 8x10 to thank me for leaving positive reviews for her and encouraging other brides to book with her. We're so lucky to have worked with her!

Jocelyn took UNBELIEVABLE photos for our ceremony and reception!! We had no idea how she even captured the half of what she took or when she was taking them. Many of the photos were not staged which really captured the true feel and essence of the crowd and the event. There were even photos that I would have never requested that my jaw dropped open on when I saw them. Jocelyn Mathewes has an amazing eye, energy and is anxious to please. I found her on craigslist, interviewed her and liked her immediately. She is young and just starting out which makes the price nice. I was a bit nervous because of this but was not the least bit disappointed by her work.
She even came to the rehearsal and snapped away to get an idea of the space since she had not seen it before! Take a look at her website and believe that IS the kind of work you will see!
