Best day ever!

Gosh I cannot say enough about Lauren and her team. Lauren was so easy to communicate with. She really helped us to bring our overall vision to life by creating a design board and referring us to vendors that fit our vibe. Lauren even helped me to book the Makeup Artist of my dreams THREE WEEKS before our wedding. She just made everything so easy. Lauren and her Day of Coordination team made it so that my family, husband, and I did not have to think about a SINGLE thing the day of. I truly cannot recommend Something Blu enough! 💙

The best decision!

Hiring Something Blu as our day-of coordinators was one of the best decision we made for our wedding! From the moment they stepped in, they took the reins on all logistics, ensuring every vendor was aligned and operating on the same timeline. They worked logistical wonders - creating a minute-by-minute timeline that kept everything running smoothly and made sure every details was accounted for.
They attended our rehearsal, helped guide the wedding party, and were instrumental in setting up and breaking down our decor. We truly could not have gotten through the day without them. Their communication was clear and the brought up so many questions I had not even thought of throughout the planning process. They were worth every penny and truly the biggest stress-reliever that allowed me, and our families, to just enjoy the day and savor every moment. Something Blu highly recommended!

I VERY highly recommend Something Blu weddings! Our daughter and her now husband ended up with 147 guests (outdoor wedding/indoor reception). I can’t imagine what we would have done the last month without them. The bride and groom live out West and the wedding was local. Either the wedding would not have turned out as our daughter and her fiancé imagined; or mom (me) would have been really distressed. I always hoped that I would be a “chill” mother of the bride. Well for our family’s first wedding, I was far from it, especially because of other life issues which often occur, and we also had some complicated details for the wedding. Well! Lauren and her colleagues were so patient and detail oriented! Lauren wrote down and remembered EVERY detail from our first phone call. We chose the “month of” coordinating services. She and her team stepped up in every possible way from that first call up until and through the wedding. If there was a problem, and there were plenty, Lauren and her team went way above and beyond to fix it, even in their busiest season. And their prices were so reasonable!! I really cannot thank them enough! Book them! You will be glad you did.

Amazing DOC!

Lauren and her team were amazing! Our main coordinator was Sam and she was SO helpful. They truly made our day a breeze! We added additional time for our cocktail hour and reception. They read all of our contracts to make sure we had each vendor for the proper amount of time. If you are looking to have an easy, no stress rehearsal and wedding day hire SomethingBlu!

Attentive Service even on a short timeline

We really enjoyed working with Lauren and the Something Blu team. Due to several different circumstances, we booked the service with only 4 months before the wedding date. Lauren provided reassurance, expertise, and calmness to the whole process which made the 4 months feel like the whole 12. Lauren has a rolodex of wonderful vendors to work with and will provide insight and recommendations every step of the way. We were fully supported on the day with ample of event coordinators to ensure a smooth day. We pulled it off and the wedding was a huge hit and we couldn't have done it without the Something Blu team. I highly encourage their services to support you on your special day.

A wedding day MUST if you can swing it

Our Nov 2023 wedding at the Logan Inn in New Hope was absolutely seamless thanks for Courtney from Something Blu Weddings + Events. We were in the fence about hiring day of coordination but it was one of the absolute best decisions we made. Courtney accompanied us to our final details meeting and gave me great advice before meeting with our Logan Inn event coordinator that tremendously helped us ensure all of our questions were answered. Courtney also attended our rehearsal and took care of running everyone through what to expect which was a huge stressed lifted from me. Lastly, the day of the wedding was made to be an absolute DREAM because of Courtney and Chez. They were there every step of the way to ensure my husband and I were well taken care of and that our family and bridal party knew where to be and when. Lauren the owner was also was extremely helpful in the time leading up to the wedding and provided us with lots of guidance and advice on what to expect.

The Best Wedding Planner

Lauren from Something Blue Events was an absolute dream wedding planner. From the moment we met her, she exuded professionalism, creativity, and genuine passion for her work. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Lauren was a constant source of support and inspiration, turning our visions into a reality beyond our wildest dreams. We used Lauren for her day of planning services and by far the biggest regret from our wedding is that we did not hire Lauren for her service planning.

Lauren's attention to detail was impeccable. She effortlessly handled every aspect of our wedding, from coordinating vendors to killing complicated situations with kindness. Her creativity knew no bounds, and she thought of every little touch that could make our day even more special. She truly saved the day in more ways than we can ever articulate.

On the wedding day, Lauren and her team worked tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring that everything ran seamlessly. Her calm and reassuring presence helped us relax and fully enjoy our day, knowing that we were in the best hands possible.

Amazing!! Alleviated Stress and Remembered All The Small Details

My wife and I used Something Blu for the month of service and couldn't be happier. Best decision ever to hire Something Blu Weddings & Events

There are no words to describe how priceless Lauren and her team were as “Day Of” Coordinators for my daughter’s wedding.
Lauren is so organized, detailed-oriented and uber- calm (bringing calm everywhere she went), she is confident and energetic.

Lauren and Sam met us at Merion CC months before the wedding see the set-up of the reception at Merion Cricket Club. Her suggestions were so appreciated and valuable. Something Blu worked so well with the staff of MCC and they executed every detail.
Lauren contacted every vendor (Priest, band, Photo Booth, bakery, florist photographer, make up & hail) the week of the wedding and we didn’t have to worry about confirming if /when they were going to show up.
Lauren was present at the church for rehearsal on Friday, she was with us getting ready for the wedding on Saturday and by our sides all the way to the church. At the church, she kept track of wedding party belongings, kept the bride calm and everyone got up the aisle on time. (Even 3 ring bearers and 4 flower girls.)
Lauren and staff made sure everything ran smoothly at the reception (ever thought Merion CC did an incredible job). Lauren was there for bustling the dress, keeping the flow during band breaks, when to cut the cake- we were there ti enjoy and she did the rest.
Buses took us to the After Party and Lauren and staff and MCC Staff meticulously gathered gifts and cards, personal belongings and kept them safe for pick up.
We could not have done it without Something Blu.
My only regret was not hiring Something Blu for total planning they are so fabulous! Thank you Lauren, Sam and Staff! We are so grateful for all you did!

Too Many Hands…You Need This Planner

Lauren and her crew (led by Courtney) made it possible to enjoy my daughter’s unique vision for a celebration of vows on one night and a barbecue celebration the next day. There were tons of moving pieces, different (but equally strong) personalities, and uncooperative weather. The team was amazing. They worked nonstop that night, benefitting from all their detailed planning prior to the event. They were friendly, helpful, and attentive. In terms of planning, Lauren offered several detailed preliminary meetings where everything was worked out. I just wish we started working with them from the outset rather than starting on our own.

Best wedding planner!

Lauren and her team did an amazing job! My wedding would not have been the same without them! Her and her team helped out with everything including finding vendors, budgeting, planning and attending rehearsal, making sure everything went smoothly the day of the wedding and most importantly relieved any stress and anxiety (and much more!). Lauren is very organized and keeps a lot of detailed notes so you never have to panic that your going to forget something! Can’t thank her enough!

Great wedding due to an awesome planner

We got married in March, 2022 in Cancun Mexico with an 8 month engagement and had the most amazing day. Lauren and her team helped us work with our budget to find a great international destination! The wedding was beautiful and all of our vendors were amazing. The day of was completely stress free because Lauren and her team handled all of the logistics with the vendors. I absolutely recommend Something Blu to any bride in need of wedding planning!

A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event; you deeply want your vision of the day to be brought to life and the celebration to be something truly spectacular. Our wish was that we surprise and delight all our guests, no cookie cutter wedding for us. And Lauren and her team from SomethingBlu Weddings + Events made that happen for us—100%! They were with us from the initial planning to the day of coordination. Their listening and organizational skills, expertise, and contacts with vendors ensured we had the unique, elegant and fun event we wanted. There really is not one word to describe just how amazing Lauren is. From finding the best vendors to seamlessly rescheduling our covid wedding, Lauren made wedding planning a breeze. Her attention to detail and ability to transform an idea into a reality made our wedding a dream come true.

Throughout the night of our wedding, many guests told me I was the happiest bride they’ve ever seen - which is a true testament to Lauren’s hard work and ability to please even the most indecisive bride. Able to Coordinate on the Fly

I hired Lauren as a day-of-coordinator and all was going well and then she had to pass off my wedding to a colleague due to Covid. Her colleague was able to step in and made sure all things went off without a hitch. The team was extremely professional and even able to fix my bustle on the fly. Everything went incredibly smoothly despite the coordinator being switched last minute due to illness. We did not have to worry about decorating or deconstructing post wedding.

Professional and Calm Wedding Planner!

Lauren and her team made my day truly magical. After having to reschedule my wedding a year out due to covid, at some points I felt like I was losing my mind, but Lauren had everything under control and was incredibly calm and reassuring, which I needed. She uses a great software called Aisleplanner which helped keep everything organized, and even though she ended up having to plan my wedding for 2 years, she never made me feel like a burden. The day of went incredibly smoothly, everything I needed was taken care of and she amazingly took care of and was aware of every single detail of that day. I don't know how I would have done it without her. Her assistant Christine was also wonderful that day. I would highly recommend Something Blu!

HIRE SOMETHING BLU WEDDINGS FOR YOUR WEDDING! I was not someone who initially knew what I wanted our wedding to look like but I knew that I didn’t want to be bogged down with all the details – Something Blu made sure we had a beautiful and fun wedding but didn’t have to stress about the details. Lauren worked with us from the beginning to create a vision and find a wonderful venue/vendors, all while respecting our overall budget. The wedding planning portal they use was extremely helpful for tracking all finances (budget, expenses, upcoming payments) and served as a centralized website to track all contracts and vendor contact info. She maintained communication/coordination with all vendors and in the month leading up to the wedding, created a detailed timeline and helped us work through all last-minute crisis/changes. On the wedding weekend, Lauren and Christine were rockstars! They were extremely organized, detail-oriented, and always aware of what my husband and I needed throughout the wedding day. We had weather that made us change our original ceremony plan and Lauren/Christine stepped in to make sure the new ceremony location was beautiful and that the wedding party knew the changes without stressing me or my husband. They kept our day running smoothly and handled all unexpected issues with ease. All of their work made it so my husband and I and our families could be fully present for the celebration and enjoy the day for what it was. I would highly recommend hiring Something Blu for your wedding!

The best decision - hire lauren!

When we got engaged in January 2020, I knew I needed to get a wedding planner. My husband and I aren't originally from the Philadelphia region but knew that trying to plan a wedding in north NJ would be a headache when our jobs were here and super time consuming. I interviewed a handful of wedding planners, and am sooo glad I connected with Lauren! She was absolute perfection to work with and we booked her in February 2020 for full service planning (and the price is so reasonable too!!). THANK GOD WE DID because of course COVID happened! But Lauren kept on us track from the beginning, and we never were in a scramble to look for vendors or having vendors not be booked on time.

Time and time again people would ask me if I was stressed over the wedding planning process (we always knew we were gonna be married in Fall 2021, so it was a longer engagement) but my answer was always "no, because I have the best wedding planner!" Lauren keeps you on track for booking vendors on a timeline and always had great suggestions. I also loved that she gave us the creative freedom to explore vendors on our own as well.

The day of the wedding came and went with a blur. But Lauren and her team kept me and my husband organized and timely throughout the entire wedding planning process and she crafted a perfect timeline, filled with every vendor detail and step by step timeframe. She was essential in vendor to vendor communication and all of the granular things that I just couldn't make time for.

In this day and age when everything feels like it's too much to manage, Lauren and her team made wedding planning look easy and gave us the most beautiful wedding day. I can't thank the Something Blu team enough! HIRE THEM!

Absolutely integral to our wedding day success!

SomethingBlu was absolutely essential for our wedding day. Having Erin and Maria as the Day of Coordinators allowed me to sit back as the bride and enjoy the evening. They helped me create the wedding day timeline and ensured that the timeline was provided to our vendors. They had everything covered the day of and even helped me wipe our a dirt stain on my dress. My now husband and I decided last minute to get a planner because of all the little essentials you don’t think about and need help with! We were SO glad to have made that decision, Erin made our day a flawless dream, she did everything the month leading up until our big day!! If there were any issues, she handled it without us even knowing! The Day of our wedding went absolutely flawless from beginning to end. Erin & her assistant Christine were really amazing! Soooo professional and so organized it made everything super easy for me the bride and my husband. At first, we weren't going to hire a wedding coordinator. Thank GOODNESS we did. Hiring Lauren was the best decision we could have made. She put together a detailed timeline of the day an didn't miss a single beat. Her team is fantastic. The attention to detail was so impressive. Planning a wedding can be so stressful, but the stress was completely lifted once we hired Lauren. Onsite, her team was so professional, assertive with vendors when necessary - in which we SO appreciated. Most importantly, the team is kind. I can't give enough praise to Tara and Something Blu for making our wedding the perfect day. I'd give 10 stars if I could! I am one of those clients that was undoubtedly so hard to work with. I had no idea what I wanted for anything! I didn't know our color scheme, which vendors we were using, timing, flowers, you name it! Tara worked with me tirelessly to put all of the pieces together. She let me know which decisions had to be made immediately and which ones I could figure out along the way. I was so stressed leading up to the wedding and wondering how I was going to make sure everything was running smoothly. Well, I literally did nothing on my wedding day except have fun and enjoy the day with my new husband! My husband and I couldn't believe how seamless the day was, especially having to deal with multiple locations and day-of changes due to rain! Lauren was great. I hired her as a day-of-coordinator for my wedding and she was incredibly helpful. She made sure that everything ran smoothly with my vendors, taking over communication with them in the days before the wedding and making sure set-up went according to plan. Throughout the night she kept me fed and watered and was able to take important items off my hands (e.g. my very expensive gold bracelets that were too delicate to wear all night long) and back to our room for us (e.g. cards, gifts, extra food) so that we didn't have a single worry all night long. She was also able to handle the one mishap we had at our wedding (every wedding has one, so hire a coordinator so you aren't the person dealing with the problem when it comes!) - one of our shuttles never showed and left guests stranded at the ceremony location for a short time before Lauren was able to work out a solution, all the while I was able to keep socializing with guests and acting as hostess and enjoying myself since I knew the problem was being taken care of.

Before the wedding, Lauren was also very helpful. She
created a comprehensive timeline of the night, which she shared with all our other vendors, and which she able to adapt on the fly when things went wrong (with some guests arrival to the reception site being delayed, including the bride's parents!) so that the guests didn't notice anything was amiss and the evening went as perfectly as if that had been the original plan all along. Lauren and her two assistants were also just a pleasure to be around - so sweet and calm - the perfect presence to add to your wedding ensemble to keep you grounded, centered, and stress-free both before, during, and after the big day.

Hiring Tara from Something Blu was the best decision we made! Our wedding was very DIY, non-traditional, but we wanted someone to handle all of the day-of details, and Tara took care of everything. She managed all of the vendors, checked in with us all day, had every possible item we would need. We could ask her to help us with anything, and she would do it with a smile. Hiring Something Blu Wedding + Events as my day-of-coordinator was honestly one of the best decisions that I made throughout the wedding planning process. I think that the title "day-of-coordinator" is a bit deceiving because I received so much more than just a day-of service from this company.

I started working with Tara as my main day-of-coordinator. I then started working with Sarah, as Tara was expecting her second child, and the transition was incredibly seamless. Both Tara and Sarah attended the venue walk through to make sure everyone was on the same page in terms of setting up the space. Leading up to the wedding, Sarah was so responsive to both email and text - she was very organized and ready to answer any question. Sarah put together a wedding timeline which was shared with all of my vendors. Kim and Sheri were also at the wedding to help Sarah and both were so great! Together, all three made the day go so smoothly.

My wedding day was perfect, and it would not have been the same without the help of Something Blu Wedding + Events. My entire family was able to relax and enjoy the day, and I could not have asked for more. I didn't have a thing to worry about on my wedding day as I knew Sarah and her team had taken care of everything.

If you are on the fence about hiring a day-of-coordinator, I highly recommend it. And even more so, I strongly suggest hiring Something Blu Wedding + Events! Thank you Sarah and Tara for all of your amazing help!

I have nothing but high praises for Tara and the team at Something Blu. Being the mother of the bride I have to admit that I hesitated when my daughter wanted to hire a wedding planner. After meeting with Tara it was clear that there was a lot more to planning a wedding than my experiences 35 years ago. She was very organized and always available to answer questions even though she was hired as the day of coordinator! Even when Tara informed us that she was expecting another child, due the month of the wedding, (congratulations to Tara and her family) she arranged for us to meet with Sarah, another member of the team. Sarah was also readily available to answer those questions as the wedding approached and made sure all the vendors were ready to go. And the timeline! How great it was knowing where everyone should be and at what time! Kim and Sheri were also helpful with the rehearsal and reception. When the wedding was over it was so nice that Sarah and Kim had everything packed up and ready for us to take home. After a night of celebrating it was nice not to have to run around making sure we had everything. Highly recommend using Something Blu if you are looking for day of coordination for your wedding! Leading up to the wedding Tara and Sarah were amazing! They were so organized and were genuinely interested in the details of the wedding, and making sure everything would flow and be exactly what we wanted. They took on the role of communicating with all vendors and finalizing all details to ensure that the months and weeks leading up to the wedding were as stress free as possible. 5 stars isn't enough to say how amazing working with Tara , Sarah, and Something Blue was! I am an event planner for my profession, and I was very concerned I would slip into work mode on my wedding day instead of being the bride and enjoying every moment. Tara was our Day-Of-Coordinator, and it was the best decision I made in the whole wedding planning process. Leading up to the wedding, we did a walk through of the venue to talk through the day of schedule. We then kept in communication in the weeks leading up to the wedding - confirming details and she offered great advice when I had questions. Having her at my rehearsal was wonderful - she made sure everyone understood what they were supposed to do and where they were supposed to be. The day of the wedding, I had no worries when it came to logistics. Tara made sure all the vendors were on time, that the bridal party was where they were supposed to be and her team set up at the reception. I felt no stress on my wedding day, and was able to live in the moment, instead of worrying about what needed to be done. Tara also has the most amazing emergency kit - Sarah helped get a stain off my dress after pictures. They also helped bustle my dress and keep adjusting it when it fell out. They also packed everything up when the party ended, and placed it in the designated car. I am so thankful for the piece of mind they gave me on my wedding day, and cannot recommend them enough!!

I couldn’t imagine planning one of the most magical days in my life without Tara’s assistance. She was my saving grace in keeping me organized, on track, and helping me remember key details that I would have overlooked. I most appreciated her for her logistics help, especially with my situation being a little tricky. Tara would meet with me on a routine basis. We would go over checklists to keep organized. Her experience, availability, timeliness, and follow up with me was outstanding – it truly allowed me to put all my confidence in her. Tara assisted in the prep leading up to the wedding, day-of assistance, and even the clean-up! It was incredible how her diligent work behind the scenes with the vendors took a load off my shoulders and allowed me to be able to focus on other things, and even enjoy the week leading up to the special day. Tara demonstrated the utmost professionalism throughout the entire process, and I honestly felt she was genuinely excited for me and living through the process with me. When our daughter suggested hiring a "day-of coordinator" for her wedding, we thought it was a fabulous idea. Even though the venue had an event manager on-site, the idea of having someone else there who was solely focused on our needs was of utmost importance. After meeting Lauren the first time, we were all so thrilled with that decision. Lauren was our day-of coordinator, and I could not have been happier with her and her team's service!! I spoke with a few coordinators and many of them offer similar services, so it came down to personality and trust for me. I made the right choice! In the month leading up to the wedding, we met with her at our venue and she was so well-prepared. She also replied quickly to my emails. A couple weeks before the wedding she really started picking up communication with all the vendors and the venue, and I felt like I was able to relax a little bit because I knew she had things under control.

On the day of the wedding, Lauren and her assistants worked seamlessly with the venue staff and vendors, getting decor set up, handling shuttle bus logistics at our hotel, and helping make sure we adjusted our schedule once we were running behind. I was so glad that my parents and bridal party could relax and enjoy themselves during the wedding because we knew that Something Blu was on top of any issues that might arise. I highly recommend having a day-of coordinator (even at a venue that provides event management) and definitely recommend choosing Something Blu.

This review is so long overdue but I want to share how exceptional the team at Something Blu Weddings is! I hired Lauren for my 9/3/16 Wedding held at Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn, PA. From the moment I called her and expressed my interest and hesitation of hiring a day of coordinator (I naively thought I could do it all myself) she professionally explained to me the benefits of her services while understanding our hesitations and budget concerns. I never felt pressured into making a decision but I knew that I couldn't handle it all myself the day of my wedding so my husband and I decided to move forward a few days after our phone call! Let me tell you, this was the best money we spent on our wedding and we still talk about it to this day!

Lauren was extremely professional, detailed, organized, and on top of everything you could think of (or didn't think of). She flawlessly handled our 16+ wedding party starting with our rehearsal at our church a few days before the wedding. She educated our bridal party on how they will walk down the aisle getting everyone comfortable with where they will be the day of. Lauren provided a detailed schedule for the day of the wedding and accounted for any time issues that could have come up. There are so many things I'm so thankful for on the day of our wedding that Lauren and her team took care of, she handled everything with such grace and professionalism. I can't even picture the day without her and I'm so thankful we found her and hired her for our wedding!!

We picked our venue because we didn’t have to stick to a "preferred" vendor list. The ability to use whoever we wanted was great until we realized we somehow had to coordinate all of this the day off. That’s when we found Something Blu. They offer multiple packages that can be customized to fit your needs. The moment we met with Lauren we knew the day would go off without a hitch. Being familiar with the venue, she was able to guide us through the planning process and make suggestions on things we didn’t even think about. Lauren also gave us recommendations on linens and décor that helped us stay within budget. The big day, in August 2016, went perfectly. We gave her a general idea of what we wanted the décor to look like and it’s like she read our minds. Lauren and her team took care of every detail (and every vendor!). I would recommend Something Blu to anyone who wants to work with a planner that will take your vision and turn it into a reality.

I used Something Blu Day of Coordination Services for my November 2016 wedding and it was hands down the best decision I made during the wedding planning process. From the moment I met Tara, I knew I would be in good hands. Being a type A, I usually have a hard time giving over control to others, but Tara was so patient and thorough I never questioned whether or not she would be able to handle it. She was amazing at coordinating all of the vendors and saved me from the dreaded task of the day of timeline. That detail alone made those last few weeks so much less stressful. Once I handed off everything to Tara the week of the wedding, I was actually able to enjoy and be present in every minute of the day. I never once felt like I was having to make major decisions or put out fires the day of. My husband and I were able to enjoy every minute of our wedding and everything was coordinated perfectly. Hiring Lauren was the best decision I made for our wedding!! Lauren and her staff are everything they say they are and then some! Lauren was in contact with me constantly and whenever I needed her throughout all my planning. She was available for every weird question that I had, and having a backyard wedding, I had a lot of questions! Lauren carried out everything she said she would! She was in contact with all of my vendors and had them all on the same timeline! She told them when they needed to be there, where to set up, and everything in between! She decorated my entire cocktail and reception area exactly as I wanted it to look! It looked better than I could have imagined it would! Without Lauren, I would have been trying to manage to group everybody where they needed to be while getting my hair done rather than sitting back and enjoying that time with my girls! I had the pleasure of meeting Tara from SomethingBlu Weddings when she was the wedding coordinator for my brother’s wedding. When I started planning my own wedding, I just knew I had to hire her. Tara was always checking in with me to ask questions about our big day and gather all of the necessary information to coordinate with our vendors. She is extremely organized, and makes sure that you have thought of every little detail before the big day. Tara met with me at my venue to do a walkthrough so that she could see where we wanted all of our decorations to go. She also attended our rehearsal, and helped ensure that the ceremony would run smoothly. She creates a schedule/timeline and sends this out to all of the vendors so that everyone is on the same page. On the big day, she was calling and communicating with all of our vendors to make sure they were arriving on time. She even went back to my hotel room to grab my flat shoes because I forgot them! People always tell you on your wedding day to enjoy every second, and I was able to do this because of Tara. She really goes the extra mile for her couples, and she was such a pleasure to work with! She was kind, hardworking, and flexible. I can’t say enough good things about her, and I highly recommend her!

As the MOB, I hired Tara as my wedding day coordinator. From the minute, I met her, I felt confident about my decision. Tara Thistlethwaite is a very intelligent, hardworking, smart and dedicated professional.
We had an Indian ceremony (baraat & all) with a reception for approx 200 guests at the Radisson in PA. She did a great job in managing a multi racial crowd. Many of my guests gave the wedding a review of “The best wedding that they ever attended”. Tara played huge role for that review!
My words will not do justice of how much she helped me. Thank you Tara!

Hiring Lauren was absolutely one of the best decisions I made for my wedding - maybe even the very best one! She was a true pleasure to work with from start to finish. Although I was hesitant to hire a coordinator at first, I was worried that without a day-of-coordinator my loved ones and I, and my mom in particular, would be too overwhelmed with the details of making the day happen to enjoy it. Lauren took all of that worry off of our shoulders. I am so grateful to her for giving my mom and me and my new husband a relaxed and happy day!

From the moment I met her Lauren went to work putting my mind at ease, helping with some decisions and reassuring me that the ones I had already made would work out. I had a lot of diy details to place that she handled beautifully, including all of my own floral centerpieces and decor. No matter what the task at hand, from making our day of timeline, to helping with my dress, to carrying heavy boxes of decor items, Lauren handled it beautifully and professionally. It is clear that she genuinely enjoys what she does, and that makes the day more fun for everyone. Because she and her assistant Rachel handled everything so well the day flew by in a joyful blur.

If a friend in there area were to ask for wedding planning advice my very first suggestion would be to contact Lauren and to trust her with their wedding day. I simply cannot say enough good things about having a coordinator and about Lauren in particular, so I'll just end with a huge thank you to Lauren and Something Blu!

You might think you don't need a wedding planner, but trust me you do, and you definitely want to hire Something Blu! I'm super type A and did most of the wedding planning myself, but as I got closer to the day I realized I didn't want to be thinking about all of the logistics and details at my actual wedding. I ended up hiring Something Blu for Day-Of Coordination and it was the best decision I made. Tara and her team were extremely professional and polite, but still made sure everything happened on time and was in the right place. I was truly able to relax and focus on enjoying our wedding because I had complete trust in Tara. She was always available to communicate and is incredibly organized so nothing slipped through the cracks. Hire Something Blu and you won't be disappointed!

Tara was a pleasure to have as my wedding day coordinator. She contacted the vendors starting a month before the wedding and lifted a lot of the weight off of my shoulders. I got so many comments on my wedding day about how relaxed I was and it was all because I knew that Tara was on the same page as me and would make sure everything went smooth. Lauren and her team are just amazing! Lauren was incredibly organized, professional and was an expert at keeping all of us calm and collected. She made sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. She also did a fantastic job of making sure all of our vendors communicated and worked well together. I had no idea how much I needed a day of coordinator until I absolutely did! Every time I needed an extra set of hands, her assistants were there to take on the task. I also totally never even noticed any of her team was there until I needed them. They were so wonderful at being discrete and accommodating. I am so relieved to have found Lauren to help us with our wedding. Our wedding was beyond our expectations.

I was the mother of the bride and felt that a wedding planner was a necessity and a luxury. We used Something Blu the month of the wedding. Lauren was amazing and invaluable. This was a very detail oriented wedding and she executed our vision to the T. She organized all of our vendors, setup , cleaned and packed up our many , many decorations, dishes etc. There was a lot of physical work involved. We could sit back and enjoy our special day with our loved ones. Most appreciated was her calm, professional demeanor. Do yourself a favor and hire Lauren if you want to feel like a guest at your wedding.

Lauren was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. She responded very quickly, shes really sweet and she will get the job done. My original plan was to only use Something Blu for my day of coordination and to assist with finding my venue & catering plus a few small tasks; however, as the wedding approached I was overwhelmed with the decor. Lauren also took on the task of wedding decor 2-3 months before and it was a huge load off of my back. The assistants on the day of were also very nice, willing to make sure the day went smoothly, and even helped to keep a few bridesmaids calm so they didn't ruin their makeup with tears. I'm really glad I worked with Something Blu and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking for a wedding planner.

If I could give a 10 out of 10 I would. Something Blu was my day of coordinator and they stepped in after a DISASTER with a previous day of coordinator. With less than a month until the wedding Tara stepped in contacted all my vendors and even assisted in adding last minute vendors. My biggest worry was the Transportation around town for our guest, not only did this run perfect my guests were blown away with the prompt timing of the trolleys. I can not say enough Something Blu is the BEST!

Stars if possible! Taras attention to detail is out of this world. She was in constant contact with myself and the groom on the day of. From the first meeting on I trusted Tara! I hired her as my day of planner. She stepped in around the last month and handled everything. She handled contacts, vendor meetings, family coordination a, the works... Tara made my day perfect. I don't know what else to say. I cannot say enough about our wedding planner Tara except that she was absolutely amazing on the day of and before! With some small bumps in the road, Tara really helped us get everything together and was so on top of things. She was always prepared(sometimes more than us) and took initiative when things did not quite go the way we wanted. The day of I would have been lost without her. The day was so quick and chaotic at times that I did not know where my things were. TAra would ask if she could take them out of my hands and put them where they needed to go for me. You don't know how helpful that was! My fiancé is constantly telling others about how amazing she was. Now that our wedding is over, we can honestly say we will miss her!

I hired Lauren as a day-of-coordinator, and she was amazing. She listened to what we wanted and offered helpful feedback and suggestions without ever trying to push us in a specific direction. She helped us sort out all kinds of little details we probably never would have thought of. The wedding day flowed so smoothly, I was completely unaware of what was happening behind the scenes. We hired Lauren and Something Blu Weddings and Events as a day of coordinator and also to help with planning prior to the wedding. Lauren created a custom wedding planning package for us based on what we were looking for. Throughout the planning, Lauren provided lists of vendors for me to choose from, a timeline, a budget, and answered many, many questions for me. Tara from Something Blu Wedding and Events was amazing! My daughter, the bride, and I loved working with her! From the first time we met with her until the end of the wedding reception, she was very professional, personable, pleasant and ORGANIZED! She was always one step ahead of us with every deadline! We hired her for our day of coordinator, but she went above and beyond with any questions or concerns we had before the wedding. The day of the wedding Tara's assistant Kimberly, also very helpful and was there to help the entire bridal part of nine bridesmaids, two flower girls and a mother and father of the bride get to the church on time! Having Lauren as our day of coordinator was the best investment that we made. The meetings/e-mail exchanges that we had before the day of were extremely valuable. And we were truly impressed with her professionalism.

During the day of our wedding, we wanted to enjoy the day and not worry about the details. Most of our family and bridal party were traveling from out of town. We were able to relax and spend time with family with the peace of mind that everything was being taken care of.

Even if your venue has an event planner, it is helpful to have someone that is overseeing all aspects of the wedding for the day of. My husband and I were truly impressed with how attentive Lauren was, making sure we were comfortable throughout the day.

The best part? She set up and broke down our decorations. It was great that my husband and I as well as our loved ones did not have to do this.

First of all, Lauren does not even begin to charge enough money for the amount of work and detail she puts into your wedding. We hired her for day of coordination, but she spent so much time leading up to our big day working with us on every detail! I don't know how we could have done it without her.

Lauren was such a pleasure to work with and was on top of everything from the very first time we spoke. She was always responsive and professional and juggled all of the crazy details of my wedding (including so many DIY aspects), all of my vendors, and my super Type A control freak personality with ease. Her and her team worked tirelessly the day of our wedding to ensure every detail was taken care of exactly how we had imagined it. She took care of anything and everything you could imagine and made sure we didn't have to worry or think about anything that day. She also worked tremendously well with the Catering and Banquet team at the hotel throughout the entire process to ensure nothing fell through the cracks.

We cannot recommend Lauren enough! If you are debating about hiring a planner, stop, and just hire Lauren! She is worth every penny x10!

Lauren and her team were absolutely amazing!! My husband and I got married in our backyard and needed help making sure the day went smoothly. It's a lot of work having a wedding at your property and we could not have done it without her. Our caterer pulled us aside and said the reason everything went so smoothly was because of Lauren and her team.

Lauren was FANTASTIC. I hired her for day-of coordination but prior to the day of, she helped manage the chaos that was my DIY barn wedding planning and keep my schedule on track. Lauren and her team were absolutely wonderful! There was not one glitch in my wedding day. She made sure everything went smooth as planned. Considering my venue only included the tables and chairs, I had to coordinate everything else with multiple vendors. Lauren was great at reaching out to them and creating a timeline to make sure everyone was on the same page. Lauren and her helpers did a great job making sure everything was set up how we discussed and were so helpful cleaning up at the end of the night. At first I was unsure if I needed a wedding day planner but now I don't see how I could have done it without! A moment when I really appreciated them being there was when I started to get ready to walk down the aisle and did not have my bouquet. Her helper noticed and ran to get it out of the dressing room while Lauren motioned for the DJ to wait to play my entrance song. To me, that was such a relief to have had them there to fix my forgetful mistake and have the ceremony go off with ease. I would highly recommend her and her team. They were all so very nice and did such a fabulous job taking the stress out of my wedding day.

We hired Lauren as our Day-Of Coordinator, & it is the BEST decision I made. Lauren made sure she was in the loop throughout the whole wedding planning process. She was prompt & thorough in her responses. When we had to relocate our reception, she helped us locate new venue. She provided vendor recommendations that met our budget. Lauren did a venue walk-through-which involved climbing a steep hill since the venue was paving at the time of our visit- she's a trooper! She gave great suggestions for decor that I had not considered- she has a great eye for detail! Additionally, Lauren had to arrange some decor & I felt completely comfortable leaving details in her capable hands. Prior to the wedding Lauren confirmed all details with vendors & even caught and rectified a few mistakes! Lauren attended our rehearsal & ensured that my large bridal party, parents & in-laws knew where they needed to be. On wedding day, she arrived at my house with her 2 fab assistants. She ensured that the limo was packed with everything I needed for the big day. 1 assistant stayed behind with my bridal party & ensured the girls got on the limo with their belongings & locked my house up so I had no worries! Prior to the ceremony, Lauren & her girls handled several unforeseen circumstances SEAMLESSLY! I.E. my hubby's tie & vest were not packed with his tux, but Lauren made sure that the rental co DROPPED OFF the missing items for our first look! This was done without my knowledge - I didn't have any idea until the situation was resolved! This is just one instance of the organization & professionalism - there are several more that I am aware of- cannot imagine what they handled without me knowing! They kept me stress-free & HAPPY all day. At the end of the night, Lauren was packing up decor with a smile on her face & took time to let me know she had packed our get away car with our bags. I felt taken care of from beginning to end & I owe a big part of this to Lauren & her amazing assistants.

I used SomethingBlu for day-of coordination. Lauren was GREAT. Really. We were doing this unconventional wedding that was mostly chaos and disorganization in the planning phases. She was so helpful and helped keep us on track even though we had only hired her for day-of coordination. She thought of everything. It was a bit chilly on our big day and the barn for the reception wasn't heated- so Lauren went out and got coffee for the guests. Above and beyond- really. She kept everything running on the big day and was just a pleasure to work with. I can't say enough good things. She helped make my day authentic and special. Book her while you can!

Tip #1: If your venue doesn't have a coordinator, hire one for the day of. It'll be the best decision you make during the wedding planning process.

Tip #2: If you need a day-of-coordinator, pick Lauren from Something Blu!

I am fairly Type-A, so planning most of the wedding was not a problem, but I knew that as the wedding neared I wanted someone else to take over all of the responsibilities. We contacted Lauren and she was very prompt in her replies and so nice! I met her first at a venue walk-through a month prior to wedding and she had such great suggestions. In addition to normal duties, I also needed Lauren to arrange some of the decor, wedding programs etc. We discussed all of that and she completely made me feel at ease. On the day of the wedding, I can honestly say my family and I were relaxed (ACTUALLY relaxed) because of how seamlessly everything went.

I noticed that she definitely had to improvise with some of my decor elements because they did not work as planned with the existing decor. The beauty of this was that not only did it look better than the original plan but she was able to handle all of those changes/decisions. If something went wrong during the event, I wouldn't have known because she was on top of everything! I think that's pretty much the ideal situation to be in when you are trying to celebrate.

As a frugal bride planning a casual, outdoor picnic wedding, I was uncertain as to whether I really should spend the money on a wedding planner. It seemed like a frivolous expense, especially since I wasn't planning to have many of the "traditional" wedding elements (i.e. cake cutting, bridal party, bouquet toss). However, I am so thankful that I made the decision to hire Lauren and her team. They were worth every penny! After meeting with Lauren for a free consultation, she designed a personalized "day-of" coordination package that was very reasonably priced and included all the of the essentials I needed. In addition to making sure the day progressed without a hitch, Lauren and her team were also responsible for decorating the space. I must say, after looking at months of Pinterest photos and wedding blogs, I was absolutely floored by how beautiful the decorations turned out. After many emails back and forth about our "vision" and helping us decide what decorations would work in the space, Lauren and her team took a basic picnic pavilion and turned it into a magical space filled with string lights, candles and paper lanterns. It was beyond our expectations! In addition to the decorations, Lauren was available throughout the process for advice and guidance, made sure all of the vendors (i.e. caterer, DJ, shuttle, liquor delivery, photographer), the bride and groom and the guests knew what to do and when to do it, handed out tips/payments to our vendors and made sure the space was setup perfectly and cleaned up completely at the end of the night. She and her team were the reason the day exceeded our every expectation. If you're planning an event and are feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all and/or you just need someone to oversee the days activities, I highly recommend that you meet with Lauren for a free consultation.

Lauren and her team were super professional. We hired Something Blu as our day of coordinators to assist with executing our wedding. They put an amazing timeline together for us and all of the vendors that truly became the playbook to our wedding. They were very reliable and I trusted that as the bride I could let go and know that everything would be handled and executed correctly. They were awesome! I highly recommend!!!

Hiring Lauren and her team for our day-of coordination was one of the best decisions we made! We originally debated whether or not we needed a planner, but looking back, we couldn't have done it without her. She was so responsive and completely on top of things leading up to the wedding, and when the big day came she orchestrated everything perfectly. She's also the sweetest person, it's so obvious she actually cares about her clients and making them feel at ease. Thank you!!

I cannot say enough about Lauren and her staff. I had the pleasure of hiring them for day-of coordination and I was blow away by their professionalism, attention to detail and overall value. They helped with coordinating a VERY detailed timeline for all vendors and members of the wedding party so that everything rand smoothly on the day of. Most importantly, I worried about nothing as they took care of any and all details and last minute issues. Many of my vendors were so impressed with Lauren and her staff that they are using her for their own weddings and recommending her to their clients. She is certainly one of the best and I highly recommend her to any and all people planning any event in Philadelphia. She is a PREMIERE planner with excellent eye to detail. Thank you again for making my fay absolutely perfect!!

Lauren and her team at Something Blu are absolutely the best. I hadn't budgeted for a coordinator and was concerned about cost, but I can honestly say hiring her was the best decision I made (other than my husband of course). She was on top of every single detail, and gave me the best wedding gift ever- the ability to relax and enjoy the day without worry. She brought two assistants that were equally as wonderful. From the rehearsal, to the ceremony, to the reception, and beyond- there is literally not one job these ladies didn’t take on. On top of the big things like planning and coordinating EVERYTHING, her team also helped with little things like carrying my dress for pictures, bustling, and making sure my husband and I had a fresh drink and the best time. At the end of the night (after a very long day!), Lauren was still there boxing things up and making sure nothing was left behind. Beyond being fabulous at her job, Lauren is also one of the easiest people to work with. She is completely in control and takes on a lot, but always manages a pleasant attitude and smile on her face! I am so thankful to have found Lauren, and can genuinely recommend her and her team without a single reservation.

I had an amazing experience working with Lauren. I consider myself someone who plans ahead and I had already booked all of my major vendors before booking her. I was looking for someone who would appreciate my vision of the day and plainly put, get it done. Lauren and her staff were extremely accommodating and worked with my crazy work schedule to meet so she knew exactly what I wanted. She was responsive to emails, which were our primary mode of communication. She is detail oriented and very thorough. Her day-of-timeline was excellent and as a result of her coordination and execution, our day ran seamlessly. The day after our wedding, we had to travel out of state. Lauren and her team made sure that all of our wedding supplies were organized, packed and ready to go. My wedding day was incredible and awesome and I know that in great part due to Lauren and her teams' work. Thanks!

Lauren was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our reception was at a historic mill --- definitely not a one stop shop venue (we had to bring everything in ourselves) with limited set up time. Once i realized the amount of set up and oversight needed, I started looking into Day of Coordinators. Lauren was recommended to me by a recently married friend and after meeting with her, I realized she was the perfect fit for what we needed. Lauren handled the set up of our venue day of, made sure everything was organized, contacted all of our vendors to confirm, handled our timeline and was there the day of (with her assistant) to help with my every request, and she made sure everything we brought in for the venue was where it needed to be at the end of the night ensuring that parents didn't have to worry about packing their car with our endless decor items. I'm so glad we decided to hire her and several of our vendors commented that she was an extremely easy planner to work with --not the in your face type many of them were used to dealing with. She didn't tell people how to do their jobs, instead she stepped in when needed to make sure all of the details and things that I wanted were executed properly.

Lauren and her team were fantastic! We were set for a beautiful outdoor ceremony at a winery when tropical storm Andrea quickly changed our plans... Lauren and her assistants created and executed a fabulous "plan B", and it received rave reviews from all of the guests in attendance. Lauren is extremely responsive, flexible, professional, and a calming energy that is much needed leading up to the big day. We couldn't have made it through the day without her!

The problem with this review is that there are no words to describe how incredibly thankful I am for Lauren and the Something Blu team. I decided to hire a day-of coordinator two weeks before my wedding (if I could find someone willing to take the job so quickly). I was lucky because I had a March wedding – once you get into wedding season I would definitely recommend making these decisions a bit earlier ;-). Something Blu was immediately up for the challenge. This review is limited to their Day-Of package because that’s what I used but we have all been saying we wish that I had hired them earlier in the process.
Lauren and her team went above and beyond in so many ways. The best explanation that I can give is that I had a center city wedding that involved a complicated system of shuttles and parking. I have absolutely no idea how it went or worked – except that it worked perfectly. Not one guest asked me a question. Not one guest was confused. THAT is exactly is how everything about the entire day went because of Something Blu.
To give you some more details, Lauren also drove to meet me for a free consultation in the town where I work so that I could meet on my lunch break. She created an extremely detailed full timeline of the entire weekend and contacted and confirmed with all of my vendors, pulling it all together in just two weeks' time. She attended a walk-through of my venue and attended my rehearsal with her team. They were there the entire wedding day and made sure everything went like an absolute dream. Everything was set up and taken down for me, the venue put together exactly how I wanted, they ensured I didn’t see the groom before hand – this list can go on and on and in ways I don’t even know because they already took care of it! My entire immediate family thanked me for finding them because of how wonderful it made the day for us all. I cannot recommend Something Blu enough to give you the same fairy tale day I had.

Lauren was absolutely great to work with! She listened to my decorating ideas and put together a beautiful proposal based on my ideas. She is very flexible and really understood my concerns. She revised her proposal when I had to tighten the budget. She really did take the time to work with my budget while still creating a beautiful proposal.

I'm also out of state and she was still very quick to respond to my emails and calls even though we have a 3 hour difference.

Even though last minute , my fiancé and I decided to elope--if I still had a wedding there would be absolutely NO way I would not hire Lauren to coordinate my wedding. She was a big relief to all the wedding stress! If my fiancé and I decide to have a wedding after our elopement I will definitely hire her without a doubt.

Lauren was absolutely a pleasure to work with. I had never thought about having a Day-of Coordinator, and by the end of the ceremony/reception, I realized that it would never have gone off so seamlessly without her. She is also incredibly pleasant and positive, and very calm. She was an absolute plus to my overall experience at the DuPortail House and I'd recommend her to anyone.

I truly could not have gotten through my daughter's wedding day, as well as the days leading up to it, without Lauren's assistance, expertise, and overall support. She remains calm and professional at all times, even in the most stressful moments for a bride and her mom. She helped with everything from the linens to finding soft pretzel delivery, and so much more. Her assistant, Mary Kate, was wonderful as well, and their teamwork on our special day was flawless. Hiring Lauren as our "day of" coordinator was the best decision I made in our wedding planning.

We used Lauren from Something Blu as our day-of wedding coordinator because we had a lot of intricate details that we worked very hard on and needed someone to put everything into place at our reception. She executed our vision just as we had imagined it and was very pleasant and professional. She was always very responsive to our emails and questions and catered to our every need on the day of the wedding. She checked in with us frequently to let us know what was going on so that we never had to worry about a thing. She is very friendly and pleasant to work with and sincerely seems to enjoy what does. I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone looking for a pleasant, professional, detail-oriented wedding coordinator!

I can't say enough great things about Something Blu (SB). Lauren and her team really brought our vision to life and was an ENORMOUS stress relief to us. My wife and I put everything together ourselves but SB made sure it was executed perfectly. Before we brought them on board to help us, we never realized all the additional things they would do. We like to pride ourselves in thinking we thought of everything but Lauren definitely had many things we didn't even think of...

On the day of the wedding, Lauren and her team we're ready to help out with anything we needed without a moments notice. If you're thinking about a wedding planner, Something Blu is the one to use!

Didn't realize how much we needed their help

We contracted with SomethingBluWed for day of event coordination for our daughter's wedding at Bartram's Garden the last weekend in June. We initially signed the contract with Lauren's partner at the time, last fall, and were dismayed to find that she had left the company, however, very relieved to learn that Lauren would be taking over. Ultimately, even Lauren was unable to be with us, but put us in the hands of her very able colleague, Erin Cole (Bacon), along with two associates. We had actually questioned whether we needed their services, as the catering manager was top-notch, but ultimately realized that we couldn't have done without Erin and her team. They walked us through the rehearsal and timeline for the wedding. They oversaw the bus transportation to and from the hotels to the venue. They saw us through a downpour just prior to the ceremony, which necessitated a "plan B" for the outdoor wedding, and packed everything up for transport back to the hotels. Did a great job!

They truly helped my day go smoothly, I don't know what I would have done without them! It was such a busy day and they made sure to not bother me with any issues. If you are on the fence to use them as your day of coordinator, I will tell you it was the best decision I made. Not to mention, they were the best price and value out of anyone else.
