Your wedding florist will make your wedding day even more beautiful by providing gorgeous floral arrangements. What services does a wedding florist provide?

A wedding florist provides a variety of services, some of which might not be obvious at first.

Consultation: Your wedding florist will meet with you to discuss your vision for your wedding—your venue, your wedding style, your desired color palette, and the types of flowers you like and dislike. Your florist will then create a proposal which will describe the arrangements he or she will create as well as the prices.
Samples: After you’ve signed a contract and shortly before your wedding, your florist may also provide sample arrangements to ensure that you’re on the same page about how your wedding-day flowers will look.
Flowers: A big part of your wedding flower budget will go to the actual purchasing of the flowers. It actually takes several hours for a florist to put a flower order together—and the flowers your florist will receive from his or her wholesaler or grower are far better quality than the ones you can buy at your local grocery store. They’re grown especially to be featured at events and are hand-selected for their quality.
Flower processing and storage: Once your flowers arrive to your florist, he or she will take several hours (often a whole day!) to process your flowers (taking thorns off of roses, counting the flowers, etc.) and storing them in a refrigerated space to ensure they look amazing on your wedding day.
Labor and production: Now, it’s time for your florist to create those beautiful arrangements! Each arrangement takes time to design (probably more than you would think!), so it’s quite a long process.
Delivery and set up: Your florist and his/her team will then bring your arrangements to your venue. A good amount of work needs to be done on premises to make sure that your ceremony and reception looks picture-perfect, from the altar to the reception table arrangements.
Cleanup: After your wedding, your florist and his/her team will go to your venue to remove all of the arrangements and vessels, and assist with cleanup.

My wife and I used WILD Event Florals for our wedding on July 25, 2025, and we could not have been happier with the experience. From our very first consultation, Alexandra took the time to get to know us and understand the vision we had for our wedding. We shared inspiration photos, color palettes, and a general Tuscan-inspired aesthetic, and she brought it all together even more beautifully than we imagined. When we finally saw the florals on our wedding day, we were blown away. The bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and floral installations were absolutely stunning, and the flowers transformed both our ceremony and reception spaces. We received so many compliments from our guests. On value for money, we felt we got far more than we paid for. Alexandra was upfront about pricing from the start, worked with us to stay within our budget, and was honest about where to splurge and where to save so we got the biggest impact for our investment. We never felt pressured to spend more, and the final result looked far more luxurious than the cost would suggest. Her professionalism and attitude were a highlight of the whole process. Communication was fantastic—she was responsive, detail-oriented, and incredibly accommodating, even when we made last-minute timeline adjustments during wedding week. She made the whole process feel easy and stress-free, which was such a gift during an otherwise busy time. To other couples: if you're looking for a florist who is talented, professional, organized, transparent about cost, and genuinely cares about bringing your vision to life, we cannot recommend Alexandra and WILD Event Florals enough. Maher’s Florist and Jo Ann were a breeze to work with and made florals one of the easiest parts to plan for my wedding! We had an in-person meeting about 6 months before my wedding after I went back and forth on using rentals or faux florals. Jo Ann was familiar with my venue and was able to bring my vision (and Pinterest board) to life for less than any other quote! She sent a proposal over complete with images and descriptions of chosen flowers/greenery, etc within a few days of our meeting and sent me bouquet pictures the day before the wedding. When I decided to save a little money and used non-floral centerpieces, she updated the proposal and quote immediately, no questions asked. We also had a large wedding party- each and every bouquet, boutonniere, wristlet and flower crown looked impeccable day-of! I would recommend Maher’s to anyone!
