Michelle Sent on 10/14/2018Betsy, Seth, and Essaid at the Sheraton made us feel like welcomed family and guests for our big wedding weekend. From being flexible with our room block needs to executing a rain day plan for our cocktail reception, the day went off without any major hitches. They were also particularly fun and sweet when handling our crowd of merry wedding guests (with a big appetite for the open bar)! Our guests loved the location, everyone was able to explore our beloved Old Town throughout the weekend, and we were able to relax (a little) knowing they didn't need our full attention all the time. We thought we could not afford the wedding of our dreams, in a place we love, until we found the Sheraton Suites in Old Town.
Oh! And we are STILL getting compliments on our delicious reception dinner-- the food and drink was exceptional! -

User2676384 Sent on 07/07/2016I couldn't have asked for a better wedding! My wedding was "picture perfect". The Sheraton Suites, specifically Mallory and Seth, were amazing!!!!! The Sheraton Suites provides a beautiful wedding experience, delicious food, great service, and more! Best part is that all this can be provided within a reasonable budget! Mallory goes above and beyond to make sure your wedding is one of a kind and will make sure anything can be done so that there is no stress on the bride and groom. I highly recommend the Sheraton Suites Alexandria and of course, Mallory! I haven't stopped thinking about my dream wedding and I wish we could do it all over again! -

Everything was set up exactly as I wanted and there was never a step along the way that I felt like the venue was inattentive or unresponsive. I would absolutely recommend the Sheraton Old Town as the perfect venue for a small affair. Good price, great staff, exemplary service!

User1813922 Sent on 09/16/2014The wedding planner/coordinator/does-everything person here is named Mallory Aaronson, and please believe me when I say she can do ANYTHING. She is phenomenal, and truly not only a pleasure to work with but absolutely capable of handling anything. The amount of stress she took off of us for our wedding is unchartable. Really, I would hands down having your event here.

The food was delicious and the value is unbeatable. Mallory did a phenomenal job and responded quickly to every question I had. My wedding day I felt calm and confident that everything was going to turn out just as planned. Thank you Sheraton Suites and Mallory for making our special day just as beautiful as we imagined it would be.

We had a venue cancel on us and she not only made it easy to book our new venue and figure out the details, but she practically took over as our wedding planner. She kept up on all the details and made sure everyone was in place. Our wedding was a fantastic success. We enjoyed ourselves as did all of our guests. Even a slight reservation mistake was taken care of quickly and with a smile. Tanya deserves a promotion for her great attitude, glowing personality and quick response to our requests. She is exactly the kind of person you want managing a front desk, dealing with customers and solving problems. The food was excellent and the wait-staff was phenomenal. We hardly noticed them, and yet everything was where you would expect, when you expected it. Even the cleanup crew took care of our extra items with care.
The hotel is great. Rooms are clean and large and make you feel like you're being pampered. The staff is accommodating and efficient and the rates are reasonable and inclusive of the items you would expect.
I recommend them wholeheartedly! -
User1883148 Sent on 10/23/2014Mallory was wonderful to deal with. She made us feel as though ours was the only wedding she was working on, even though we know her calendar was full. Nothing ever goes off without at least one little hitch, but her attitude and confidence gave us the reassurance that we did not have to worry. Even the weather seemed to give in to her will after a little last-minute change of schedule to the setup. We were able to have our ceremony outside as planned. It was perfect.

Nili Sent on 08/11/2012The Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria team did a wonderful job in making our wedding festivities a huge success!
We held an Indian event (Indian dinner and raas / garba dancing) the night before the ceremony in one of the conference rooms. Erin did a terrific job in helping us plan and prepare for the event. She was profesional, responsive, and just so nice in helping us with all of our questions and requests. She also played the role of my primary coordinator, so I only had to talk to her when I needed something. Because we used the Sheraton for a number of different services (hotel rooms, conference room, audio / visual equipment, and food), it could have been incredibly time-consuming for me to work with so many different departments at the Sheraton. But, Erin was a great point person who seamlessly handled everything for me.
Satish handled the food and was amazing. We had a buffet dinner with an extensive array of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. It tasted delicious and was very reasonably priced, especially considering the variety of foods. Satish was also very accomodating in working with all of my guests' dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and Jain) and the mix of Indian and non-Indian guests with different spice tolerances. My family was so impressed with the food. They noted that a lot of times even Indian caterers don't understand what Jain and vegan food is, but Satish got it just right...! My husband and I are huge foodies and the dinner we had at the Sheraton was on par or even better than some of the best Indian restaurants in the area. I just wish Satish would just add some of those dishes to the hotel restaurant's menu because I am still craving more!
All of our out of town guests stayed in the hotel - it was a great location (just blocks from Old Town Alexandria, and an easy ride to the airport and downtown DC), with comfortable rooms, at a great price, especially considering the location.
The only reason I didn't give the Sheraton a perfect 5 is that there was a bit of confusion regarding the parking situation. My contract with the Sheraton stipulated that none of my guests would have to pay parking, but the front desk was a bit confused and told my guests different things. Erin was great in sorting everything out within a couple days of the event, so everything worked out in the end.
