Love And Basketball Inspired Wedding

I originally found Elana online, scheduled a meeting with her, and instantly knew she was the one. I decided to hire her instead of using a family friend in the events industry and it was truly the best decision I made for the wedding.

As an extremely busy business professional, and with my husband being a professional coach, planning a wedding simply didn’t fit into our schedules or lifestyle. Elana completely took that weight off our shoulders and made what felt impossible look effortless.

She planned our entire wedding in less than a year an extravagant and elegant celebration with professional athletes, coaches, family, and friends in attendance and executed every detail flawlessly. She’s the definition of a true professional and a class act. If it wasn’t for her, our wedding wouldn’t have happened the way it did.

Elana was patient, attentive, and left no detail overlooked. She went above and beyond in every way and made my dream wedding come to life.

If you’re even considering hiring a wedding planner, don’t think twice just do it. Over the course of the year, Elana has become more than our planner she’s truly a friend for life.

The BEST coordinator!

I am SO happy that I chose Elana Walker Events as my wedding coordinator. My original wedding date was supposed to be in May of 2020, and unfortunately I had to postpone twice. I don’t know what I would’ve done without Elana. I barely had to lift a finger as she coordinated with ALL of the other vendors to reschedule BOTH times. Once the wedding day finally came, I could not have been more relaxed knowing Elana was running the show. I was truly able to let go and trust in her, which is not an easy task for me! Not a single thing went wrong, and I couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Great team and great experience!

Due to covid and other circumstances, we had 4 months to pull together a farm and tent wedding. Thanks to Elana and Lolita the day off we were able to have the wedding of our dreams and it exceeded all our expectations. I would highly recommend the EW team -- Elana helped us pull together an amazing vendor team that made our wedding weekend so perfect!

Swag surfing into love

As a little girl, I never envisioned what I wanted my wedding to look like. But our wedding would have made little me so happy. When we started the journey of planning our wedding it was important to hire someone who felt comfortable with working with same sex couples. Elana assured us that she did, and we entrusted her with the process. And she did not disappoint. She listened to what we wanted and always delivered it to perfection. When we couldn’t make a decision, she was there to offer alternatives that made the most sense.

To see the wedding day come together, it was everything I could have hoped it to be. Elana is like family now and we are so thankful that we were able to work with her.

Elana is amazing. She is more than a wedding planner but a friend. She went above and beyond for Orlando and I. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner. I initially started out thinking I would not need a coordinator or designer for my wedding. I am so glad I was convinced otherwise and was referred to Elana Walker Events! My day would have been a stressful disaster without Elana's help with design and Dionne and Brandy's help with directing! I used Carolina Fete, a subsidiary of Elana Walker Events for coordination and they were top notch. They are there the whole day to ensure everything goes smoothly and everything happens on time! I seriously do not know what I would have done without these ladies throughout the wedding planning progress. They are the best in the biz!! Thank you guys so much for everything!

Elana is such a lovely person. She is so great to work with! I found Elana through my venue’s (Grand Marquise Ballroom) recommendation list. I really liked her work so I set up a meeting with her and my (now) husband. From the beginning, she made us feel at ease about planning our wedding. Before finding Elana, I felt so stressed about wedding planning. She made the whole process so fun, easy, and stress free. During the day of the wedding, she made sure I was okay throughout the day. During our room reveal, my husband and I was so overjoyed. Everything looked so beautiful. It felt like she picked my vision for our wedding right out of my brain. Our wedding was so magical and everything was perfect. She is very passionate about her job and it shows. I highly recommend her!

I loved working with Elana! She was recommended to me through a friend's friend that had gotten married in Raleigh. From the beginning she made us feel very comfortable and was very receptive to our ideas and what we wanted from our wedding. Elana coordinated everything as far as the event design and really helped create our vision. She connected me with Fresh Affairs, CE Rental, and Dreamcatcher Stationary for our wedding design and everything turned out perfect. She was so flexible in that I would call her mid-panic attack regarding the seating chart and she would walk me through it. She always gave me her opinion and suggestions but always let me make the final call. She was very personable and friendly and I would recommend her services to anyone! I don't know what my wedding would have looked like without all of her help and support.

I also used her planning service Carolina Fete for day of coordination. I was assigned to Dionne and Loanlita. Let me tell you, they were freaking awesome! They start working with you two months out for day of coordination. Our meetings were well organized and I felt as if everything was set up perfectly before the wedding. Dionne texted me all the time and always made sure I knew she was available if I needed help or had questions. On the day of, Dionne and Loanlita were the calm in the storm. They were so kept together and everything flowed perfectly! They catered to my every need and made sure I was happy with everything. I couldn't even say the words "this isn't right" before Dionne was right there asking what needed to be fixed. I don't know how they did it. It was well worth the money and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Elana was really great to work with. Not only does she stay on top of things, she is ultra-organized, made great working relationships with each of my vendors, and she maintained a happy, energetic, positive and professional attitude the entire time. My Husband and I didn’t know which way to go in the beginning stages of planning when it came to vendors for our wedding. We decided that we needed a wedding planner to help us with the planning for our special day. We talked to a couple of planners but we connected so well with Elana Walker.She listened to our vision and got the right people in place to make our day better than we could have ever dreamed of. Hiring Elana as our Planner was the first and best decision my husband and I made for our wedding! The day of our consultation with Elana we actually had a tour prior to, at a highly-reviewed, perspective venue site which we arranged ourselves. The management of the venue inquired if we were considering hiring a Planner and once we mentioned Elana, they confirmed that we didn't need to look any further! This spoke volumes to us and validated her hard-work and professionalism prior to even meeting her! We knew once we arrived at her office that we would be well taken care of. Elana listened to our vision and was as passionate about the idea of our wedding as we were. As the bride, I gained a new friend and Planner all at once which was so important for the days to come. There were times I needed to meet with a vendor or make a tough decision and my then fiancé wasn't available due to work, or my mom or bridesmaids couldn't attend due to the travel. But, I always had Elana there every step of the way, sometimes at my rescue! She alleviated tons of stress, saved us time by learning our personality and style as a couple, and tailored our vendor selections to mesh well with us. Our wedding was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! Several guests said that it was "the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended". Our romantic, regal vision came to be, everything was taken care of, and all I had to focus on was being beautiful and enjoying our first moments as husband and wife:)

I don't know how but I started following Elana's Instagram page. I went through her pictures and also reviewed some of the couples she's worked with in the past. What sold me was the amount of diversity she had and that they entrusted her with their cultural traditions, customs, and visions.

Having a planner is probably be one of the best investments that can be made during the wedding planning process. I found myself to be less stressed and with having Elana she already had a built up portfolio of vendors that it made the selection process a lot easier. With the amount of experience she has she is flexible, patient, detailed oriented, and a perfectionist.

This process would have not been as smooth sailing if it wasn't for Elana! When you are great a what you do and love what you do it doesn't feel like work and I can honestly tell she loves what she does. When you set your own office hours and don't abide by them, or maximizes her time if she's in the state near you or answers a text knowing she tells you to use the online tracking system. She absolutely love her clients and I lover her too!

The very first thing I did after getting engaged was look for a wedding planner. Elana's reputation for excellence preceded her, so I immediately put her on a short list of potential planners to speak with. After our first conversation, I knew I had to have her, and I have never been disappointed!! Elana and her team went above and beyond to make my wedding day extra special. Elana is organized, thoughtful and always accessible! Plus, she is well-connected with tons of other great vendors, which makes the selection process much easier. I was not one of those brides whose been planning her wedding since childhood, and I initially struggled with an overall wedding theme. Elana's creativity really helped me narrow down the things I wanted (and didn't want) to make the vision in my head come to life! Where do I begin with Elana Walker Events? My wife and I were thoroughly please with the professionalism and friendly manner of Elana. Upon meeting Elana for the first time both my wife and I felt extremely at ease. While my wife explained what she was looking for and gave a proposed budget, Elana was very honest and stated that the expectation and proposed budget my not align, but she’ll do her best to make her dream wedding come to fruition. I then phoned Elana and asked her what did she think would be the ideal budget for my then fiancé’s dream Elana gave me a number and said the number could go up or down a couple thousand, but I told her do not worry about the number I would like her to make the dream a reality and plans were in motion.
I believe when you hire a planner you hire the planner for their knowledge, expertise, contacts and day of event precision which Elana gave us all of these. While my wife found our venue prior to us hiring Elana that the only major detail in which she did not have her hand in. Elana was instrumental in finding us a single photography/videography company, florist, cake designer, stationary, ice sculptor, DJ, string quartet, rehearsal dinner location, high end transportation, caterer along with floor and room design. I know that while Elana could have worked with any vendors or subcontractors which we would have chosen I believe to have a smooth lead up and wedding day allowing your planner to have input on the selection process will allow for the planner to be more at ease and comfortable with the professionalism of each of the vendors.
Elana Walker events was the best choice for our wedding. She was gracious and as professional as expected. Our expectations of her were superseded. While there may be less expensive options, I'll only say sometimes you get what you pay for and your wedding day is not the day to look for a deal. We not only look at Elana as our planner, but a true friend as she’s the best.

Using Elana Walker Events was honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made. Elana made the entire wedding process enjoyable and decreased my stress considerably. She is a joy to work with and has such a calming, beautiful spirit. She remains professional but is very personable and makes you feel like you are talking to one of your friends. Where do I begin with the review?

Elana Walker events saved me from a great amount of stress. My wedding was June 11, 2016. I contacted Elana Walker Events in September of 2015. When contacting Elana Walker, I still had no accomplished anything as far as wedding planning. When I first met with Elana, she put my vision together within an hour of us meeting! After booking Elana as our wedding planner, a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders!
On the day of our wedding, the vision the Elana and I had sought out was sitting right in front of my face! She made my dreams come true and made one of the most memorable days of my life amazing!

I highly recommend using Elana Walker Events! If you are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do, then I suggest her company! Every time meeting her, it was always laughs and smiles! Not only is Elana Walker amazing but her staff as well! They made everything move so much smoother the day of our wedding!

If you are looking to have a stress-less time while planning your wedding, then book Elana Walker Events. You will NOT regret it!

One thing we are sure about writing this review, is that there isn't enough words to share how well Elana did. She was punctual, accurate, and a bowl of spunk and ideas. We enjoyed every step of the way, and she made life so much easier during this time. We developed a friendship during the 12-14 months that we worked together. Our wedding this past weekend would have been an absolute disaster without Elana. Elana Walker is the calm in chaos, and working with her and her assistant was such a relief in every way.

When I was interviewing wedding planners in the area earlier this year, there were some planners that weren't as responsive which was a huge turn-off to me. As soon as Elana and I had our first phone conversation, I hired her immediately. Not only was her follow-up swift and personable, she was so accommodating and friendly. I knew that she would be awesome to work with.

Elana is so responsive and hyper-responsible, and being the type A person that I am, it was so refreshing to get email/text responses so quickly. She seriously remembers EVERYTHING, and thinks of all the possible scenarios that I had never even thought to think of. I remember how stressed out I was a few months before the wedding...until I had my in-depth planning session with Elana. She covered absolutely everything, planning the wedding down to the minute, and I was in a much better state closer to the wedding day.

The wedding weekend went so smoothly with Elana's help, and though we had some tough situations with weather conditions, she was able to help us make the best of everything. Not only did she do a great job directing/herding everyone from family members to vendors, she went above and beyond my expectations with everything she did for us from set-up to clean-up. I could not be more grateful!

I sincerely and whole-heartedly recommend Elana Walker to any bride. She works so unbelievably hard, and you will not regret working with her!

If you are looking for someone you can trust to help bring the vision and dream of one of the biggest days of your life to reality, look no further than Elana Walker at Elana Walker Events. I’m not one of those brides who had her special day planned out since elementary school, but when I got engaged to my college sweetheart I knew what I liked, what I thought was beautiful, and how I SAW my day playing out. Elana took my vision and created a SIGNATURE event based on how we saw our day playing out.

We could have been any denomination or socioeconomic status and she still would have pulled it off because Elana makes it about “the couple,” and what this day is supposed to be for them, and no one else. She is PASSIONATE about what she does. Elana put special attention into getting to know and understand us as a couple, including how we operate as people to create MORE than what we imagined. For example, I am not one to be given many options because I have a difficult time making decisions. Since Elana took that extra step to understand who I was as a bride, when I stressfully would ask, “Well, what do you think I should go with?” She directly, calmly, honestly, and 100% accurately was able to answer.

Her connections with vendors allowed for our changing budget to meet different options that worked for us. And our wedding day was phenomenal. Elana’s strengths as a planner do not just lie in putting it all together, but execution!

Perhaps the best part about Elana is her attitude. Wedding planning can be met with great stress. Elana remains positive, excited, ON TASK, and encouraging throughout the ENTIRE process. There were times where I totally forgot she was planning other weddings because she was so committed to ours. I don’t know what we would have done without Elana who has become so much more than a wedding planner, but a friend.

We are so glad we made the decision to contact Elana Walker Events for day of coordination services! I admired her work (via Instagram) for months but didn't think her services would be in our budget. Her events seemed far too nice and elaborate for our simple plans. However, I soon found myself stressed out and in need of help so I reached out anyway. The laughs exchanged at my initial consultation plus the professionalism exhibited by Elana and Brandi let me know we had to have them for our special day. If you're in a similar position, don't hesitate like I did - contact this fantastic company!

Our wedding was magical and it was not by chance, it was due to the hard work of Brandi, Abigail and Elana. Brandi served as our coordinator and she handled every detail from pre-planning to clean up without breaking a sweat. She made sure things ran smoothly and kept me calm when it looked like some of our plans would be derailed by the weather, and I can't thank her enough - what I will remember most about working with her that day is how she put me at ease just by being her calm, caring self. She ensured we felt taken care of, the guests were having a good time and the vendors knew what to do (including giving directions to one who got lost). Every time I went to reach for something or do anything, Abigail was there letting me know it was already done. Elana was available throughout the process to answer questions, guide our site visit with some of our vendors, and lend a hand on the big day. She even provided security when I needed it (lol) - these ladies do it all! The only regret I have is that we did not contact them sooner. If I had it to do all over, I would have hired them for full coordination. Trust me - they are worth it and so is your sanity! Highly recommend them for any shindig you're planning. We hope to work with them again in the future.

Elana made my wedding my dream come true. We were only able to communicate over the phone due to her being in North Carolina and me in New Mexico and she still saw my vision and made it come true 100%. She handled all of the other vendors for me, answered questions and dealt with stuff so I didn't have to. On the day of the wedding, she checked on me every few minutes to make sure I was ok. She fanned me when I was hot and dabbed my tears away so I didn't mess up my makeup. I highly highly recommend Elana (Savoir Faire Events/Elana Walker Events) if you want your dream wedding! Elana and the Savior-Faire team made this process easier and her suggestions and willingness to "make it happen" made our wedding unforgettable. Our guests were blown away by what they saw and experienced and by how SF brought our vision to fruition. It was an awesome weekend and that was in large due to the work put in by Savoir-Faire. Elana is great ! She connected me with all the right vendors to make my day wonderful. She is very familiar with the area and knows all the right people. With each step there were always several options to pick from. I always felt like I saw what the area had to offer and then made my decision. That was very important to me because I was an out of state bride.

The night of my wedding I cried because it was over. It was so beautiful. I want to go back and do it over & over again. All my family and friends are still talking about it. It's a day I will never ever forget :)

Marshella was the event coordinator for my sister's wedding. She handled the event with class and professionalism. If anyone had questions, Marshella had answers. First I will start by saying I almost passed her up until a little birdie brought me back around, and THANK GOD that happened. Elana Walker is amazing, she makes you feel at ease and that everything is under control. One thing she told me is that everything will not be perfect but whatever goes wrong she will handle it. She was there every step of the way even though she was just hired as day of coordinator, every call, every email, even text she was right there to help assist me. I have already recommended her before my event even came I just knew that she would make my wedding day dreams come true. I value her as a planner and now my friend, she was there when I was going crazy about every detail and is still here now to listen to me vent. Her team was fabulous, they handled my wedding day needs with care and were very helpful. One thing I would say I would have liked to meet them before the rehearsal just so that I can know their names and not seem like this crazy bride saying "excuse me can you do this and that." I got married at the Grand Marquise Ballroom in Garner, and if I had a chance to do it again I would have Elana right there by my side all over again! She's a WINNER for sure.

Selecting Elana as our wedding planner was single-handedly the greatest decision that we made during the entire wedding process. Elana has a friendly and approachable personality that sets you at ease during all your meetings. While her professionalism and attention to detail gives you comfort that one of the biggest days of your life will be under complete control.

From the beginning, Elana helped us set and stay with a realistic budget by guiding us through the uncharted wedding industry. She recommended amazing vendors that we would not have found ourselves. This permitted our style to be infused into the wedding rather than having a string of "Googled Vendors" who were beyond our price point. She helped shape our ambitious ideas into a complete and cohesive vision. She prepared a number of logistics to ensure that every element of the day -- including with our wedding party -- ran smoothly and on time. Even her staff, several of whom I met over the course of the experience, were a great pleasure to work with and meet. Particularly, her assistant coordinator on our wedding rehearsal and day -- Brandi -- had a sweet personality and was very professional with keeping all the details together.

Most importantly for me, Elana gave me the confidence and ability to truly enjoy my wedding day. I had no concerns on the day of the wedding because I knew regardless the issue, Elana would handle it. I can reflect back on the day knowing that the stress was removed and only timeless memories with my new husband, family and friend remain. That alone is worth it, period.

The only regret I have is not engaging Elana sooner. It would have saved us a lot of time with unnecessary vendor vetting and stress of struggling to get organized. Do yourself, your fiance, your guests and your future memories a huge favor and meet with Elana.

I am a DIY sort of bride so I was apprehensive about hiring a wedding planner. I booked Elana as a day-of-coordinator 14 months prior to my wedding day. Since booking her, she has allowed me to consult her frequently about vendors and helped me review vendor contracts. Elana was the perfect wedding coordinator!! She immediately took charge--in a very positive way--of a stagnant nerve-wracking situation. She came in the middle of a.work in progress that needed an expert. She addressed every issue in a professional way--calming nerves along the way.

Elana was more than fantastic, and did a phenomenal job as our wedding coordinator. She went above and beyond, not only to make our day special but also to ensure we had everything we needed. Elana’s attention to detail, professionalism, and overall positive attitude were insurmountable in the celebration of our marriage. Not only is she GREAT at her job but she is just a wonderful person to have around. Before it was over, we felt as if she was part of the family. No matter how much you plan there will always be something that does not go as you intended. In those situations, Elana took the bull by the horn and made everything flow seamless for us, as well as our guests.
Our wedding was undoubtedly amazing, and Elana played a major role in making it happen. She was always on time, responsive, helpful, delivered exactly what she promised, and was very knowledgeable of the “wedding industry”. Her judgment and recommendations were beyond on point. Elana consulted with us on most of our vendors and played a crucial role in selecting our limo service. She made some recommendations and steered us away from our first choice. Thank God, as 2 days later the original limo company we selected went bankrupt and did not tell any of their customers, leaving them without transportation on their big day. Without her guidance we would have been one of those unlucky and disappointed couples.

Let me just start out by saying the planning of our special day and our day in its entirety could not have happened without the services of Savoir-Faire Signature Events!
Elana is the best wedding planner anyone could ask for! I often thought of her as my friend because she supported us so well, and was not just there to do her job, but to lend a hand to what we needed and even lend a shoulder for me as the bride. Even when we had to push our wedding day back, Elana was there for support, for encouragement, and to push us through! I will always remember 'it's okay! It's just a 'wee-bit' longer!' She was very professional, kept in direct contact with us, and supplied every need and want that we asked for! She was more than a wedding planner, she's our friend also, and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner!
Her staff was perfect in assisting us on the day of! They made our day run so smoothly, of course under the direction of Elana! But also, she was there to reassure us that everything would be just fine, and we didn't have to face anything because she was there to face everything for us!

Working with Elana was such a pleasure. She was just what I needed to stick to a wedding planning schedule, was always responsive to my emails/calls/texts, and was just an all around sweetheart. Leaving a review for this vendor is nothing but a pleasure. I went into planning this wedding with the hopes of having a immediate connection with all my vendors. On the most special day of my life I wanted to trust the people I worked with. Well Elana is truly someone you can depend on to deliver, and ensure that your completely satisfied. Nine months ago I sat in her office and told her my vision. On this past Saturday she made my dreams come true. My wedding was a glamorus wedding, and one my guest raved about soley because of her. During this process she made sure I spoke to her several times a day to discuss where we are with everything. She was so responsive to all my needs, and helped me to be calm during this process. Elana is awesome. Very professional. Very attentive, flexible, open-minded, creative and just a good person period. I am so glad we chose her to help plan our wedding! After our initial consult we knew that she was the one. We booked with her almost a year in advance and 6 months before our wedding we changed everything but the bride and groom and she was eager to start on plan B. I feel blessed that I was able to find such a kind and genuine person to work with us on our special day. Through a few meetings, and phone calls Elana was able to transform our wedding day into the most emotional and meaningful day I've spent on this earth. I left the country for work for 3 months and arrived back 4 weeks before the wedding and this woman did not miss a beat. I was in awe watching her work her magic the day of. There are not enough words in the English dictionary to describe how thankful and blessed both my husband and I are that we had Elana on our team for our Wedding July 20, 2013 at the Grand Marquise Ballroom. I remember how enthusiastic she was the very first time we spoke with her on the phone and she carried that excitement the entire 8 months we worked together. We had other consultations set up for that day and we booked her on the spot after first meeting her. She is a true professional and friend however we love her like family. She kept our nerves and stressed down all while keeping the anticipation and excitement going. Her team is outstanding and was eagerly ready to assist us in anyway we needed them to. After our wedding my husband I counted and thanked God for our blessing and Elana was one of them. I am going to miss our weekly/sometimes daily emails and fun-filled conversations. Our wedding day was AWESOME! Our vision was executed perfectly! And I'm convinced we would not have been able to enjoy our day as much without the assistance of Savoir-Faire Signature Events. We definitely did not have a cookie cutter wedding. It was very personalized and we are still receiving raves about various aspects of our reception. On May 25,2013, My husband and I renewed our vows to celebrate ten years of marriage. After only one meeting with us, Elana listened and understood what we wanted for this event. She immediately went to work and introduced us to fantastic vendors that believed in being budget friendly, professional, dependable, and the quality of services given were simply superb. Planning a wedding tends to take a toll on many people and before we met Elana it was taking its toll on us. We both work, we have three small children, and we are both going to school...Where would we have the time to plan, better yet where would we get the energy and brain power to do so. Thankfully, Elana stepped in and prevented all of the extra stress and thanks to her our wedding was everything we hoped it would be and more. We are still getting compliments on how beautiful and memorable our wedding was. When I first met Elana I told her that I'm not really picky, but I want this occasion to be simplistic and elegant. Now that the wedding has come and gone, when I speak to my family and friends who attended our ceremony, they all compliment on different aspects of that evening, the flowers, centerpieces, the music... but each time when it was time for the conversations to end they all ended by saying one thing, " Lauren your wedding ceremony was the very definition of Simplistic Elegance and we enjoyed every moment of it. " Thank you So Much Elana for making those special moments so breath taking, for the memories made, for the bonds that were reunited and strengthened, and most of all for the chance to show our three beautiful children that truly blessed love can accomplish anything in such a beautiful environment. Elana and her team were awesome! A few minor things went wrong during the day but they took care of them and I didn't find out until I was on the beach in Costa Rica, enjoying my honeymoon. The value was well worth the price.

Elana was great in helping us plan an unusual event--just the wedding reception. She was extremely flexible and provided great vendors for us to choose from. Everything turned out perfectly, even tho the weather on the day of the event (it was held outside) was not so wonderful. We could not be happier.

Elana was amazing and made everything flow so well and provided me with no stress on this big day. She is so organized and responsive and really catered to the needs of my family. She added special touches to things to make our day unique and came up wih wonderful ideas. She took hold of everything and was confident, thorough and extremely meticulous and organized which made our wedding so spectacular. It is clear that she is passionate about event planning and goes ou of her way to make things great. She even made herself available after hours at times to make sure we were okay or to answer any questions. My wedding was the best day of my life because I married my best friend and Elana made sure it all went perfectly.

Only if the stars could go higher! Elana was the best planner I could ask for. She's attentive, professional, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for brides. She also did my flowers. Never was there a moment I wasn't confident with decisions and the day of my wedding it started on time to the tee! As a newlywed of almost 1 month, I still reflect on my day. Considering, I'm big on replaying things in my mind and finding every possible thing that I could have done differently, I am so very happy to have the consistent thought that "my wedding day was perfect". Elana was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was extremely personable and that went a very long way. I couldn't have imagined my wedding day being what it turned out to be. Elana Walker of Savoir Faire Signature Events is an amazing wedding planner to say the least. She was very organized, very experienced, and has an creative eye for details. When I was all out of ideas or solutions she steps in with all the ideas and solutions to assure me/us that our day will be beautiful. She is highly professional and energetic, her personality had us all laughing throughout the process over these months. Although she does this a lot, I felt special, I felt as if my day was just as important to her as it was for me as the bride. Elana Walker and her team do what they do very well. I hope to work with her in the future, maybe a baby shower? Who knows, but I want to have something again just so we all can work with her again. It was absolutely a pleasure and a joy to work with this beautiful wedding planner inside and out.

Elana was very instrumental in making sure all of my needs were met and if there was something that she couldn't do or didn't think would look right, she didn't hesitate to offer her professional advice. I never experienced a lot of stress during my planning and I accredit that to Elana making everything light-hearted and an "easy-fix." We shared many ideas and plenty of laughter throughout the process. She met all of my needs plus some unexpected ones too. I would recommend her to anyone I knew that was considering marriage. I now consider her a friend!

She was not only very professional, she was a great friend throughout the entire planning process, up until the day and afterwards. If I could do it all over again I would hire Elana again. We truly appreciate all of Elana's excellent services she provided for my daughter's wedding. She was right on target and everything came together beautifully. She is very professional and into all of the details. I live in California, my daughter lives in Wash DC and the wedding was in Chapel Hill, NC. The wedding was wonderful due in large part to Savoir-Faire and Elana Walker's involvement. I have known Elana for about 15 years, however I did not know the extent of her wedding knowledge until she began to work on our wedding. I must say that she impressed me and immediately my worry floated away. Our wedding weekend would not have been the same without her. Savoir-Faire's recommendations and ability to pull everything together and make it happen in a very professional way really sets her apart from others. They helped with everything from venue selection, to venue and vendor recommendations to invitiation wording and day of coordination. Many of my guests have approached me and expressed their delight in Elana's wedding planning/coordination efforts for the day of. The day went smoothly and flowed divinely. I felt no pressure and was at ease. We made great memories and my guests are still talking about the grand time they had. We cannot thank Savoir-Faire and Elana Walker enough.

From day one Elana was quickly responsive to all phone calls and emails. She was available to reassure me and guide me. I couldn't ask for a better wedding planner. I'm glad I hired Elana at the beginning of the planning process. She reduced my stress level considerably, and stayed calm and confident throughout the process.

Elana took the time to get to know us and learn as much as she could about what we wanted. She then created a step by step plan to get us there. The decisions involved were a bit overwhelming, but she cut through the chaos and suggested absolutely perfect vendors. I would never have found them by myself. She has great pride in delivering a quality outcome, and has answers to every potential issue.

She is professional, organized, calm, kind, responsive, helpful, creative, fun, and knowledgeable. Her services were priced considerably lower than others. Why would you go anywhere else?

Hiring Elana was the best thing that I could have done for myself and for my wedding. As a student, and as a student living out of the country for the first 8 months of the wedding planning process, Elana was nothing but understanding! She set up FaceTime/GoogleChat/Skype calls with herself and the vendors that she recommended. She was very understanding and respectful of my need to have my father intimately involved in all decision making. From the first time I spoke with Elana, we connected; she was spirited, down to earth, and easy to talk to. I didn't meet Elana in person until 8 months after we started this process and when I met her, it felt almost like we had been friends forever! She was able to visualize and put together my dream wedding even though I wasn't able to articulate exactly what it was that I wanted. While Elana's talent is out of this world, the thing that was most striking to me was her humble and compassionate personality. On my wedding day, there was a glitch and my house key went missing so the person who was supposed to get my dog from my house couldn't get in to get her! While I was in my room panicking, Elana and her team stepped up, got my husbands key and made sure my dog was there to walk down the aisle ((and Elana personally made sure my dog got down the aisle)). Additionally, despite any other glitches that happened during my wedding night, Elana and her team remained professional and did everything graciously with a smile. I'm so blessed that we found Elana early on in the wedding planning process; I know for a fact that our wedding would not have been nearly as breathtaking and memorable as it was without her and her awesome team of vendors. I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Elana Walker Events.

Fantastic! I'm not much of a planner but thanks to EWE and Melissa I had an amazing wedding. There were so many details I hadn't even thought of that really made the day perfect. Hurricane Mathew hit 2 days before the wedding, but through it all they were on top of things and reasured me that it would all work out. And it did.

Two words: DA..BOMB!!!

Going in as a bride that had planned a majority of her wedding, my goal was to find someone who would be able to bring my vision of my special day to life. Elana was able to do this and so much more! She not only provided valuable and sound advice on just about every aspect of my wedding day, but she was also able to bring a level of fun and excitement to every situation, even in my most stressful times! Her love for what she does resonates in her work and relationship with her clients, all while displaying a high level of professionalism and quality of service.

All being said, there is not another person that I can think of that I would have entrusted my day with other than Elana Walker. When working with her, you not only gain a great event coordinator, you also gain a great friend. I would recommend her services 10 times over and I can't wait to utilize her for our one year anniversary party!! :)

Everyone wants a wedding planner that will make your day perfect, and that's super important, but it's even more important to have someone who knows how to turn the show around and bring out the best when not everything goes according to plan, and that's Elana. She's like an older sister that is so sweet and caring. My husband and I worked long hours, which meant we were not easily accessible during the day. Elana put time aside for me to answer all of my questions and reassure me of the wedding planning process.
And as an out of town bride, Elana creating meetings during the weekend (which is Wedding time) was huge! She met with us whenever we were in town and set up appointments to meet with vendors and get as much information as possible. There was a period of time where we had knocked out so much on time or ahead of schedule that there was a waiting game up until a couple months before the wedding.
Elana was super helpful, kind and always went to bat for my husband and I. She did her best to meet my expectations and needs. Furthermore, when things didn't go as planned, and that is inevitable, she pushed it to the limit to make sure that my day was still a success. I saw the hard work that Elana put into making sure that the vision that my husband and I had planned was met, and Elana show and proved when there were tough decisions to be made and things didn't go according to plan.
Elana and her team on the day of my wedding worked to make sure things went smoothly and didn't want my husband or I to worry about a thing and we thank them for filling our day with love and laughter.

Elana Walker Events (EWE) site is filled with beautiful flowers, crystals, smiling faces and a promise to make your wedding vision a reality…and that’s where the good times end. Unfortunately, at times, it was as if we were planning EWE's concept and not ours. We felt rejected when we proposed ideas like a professional dance troupe to serenade the groom during the ceremony. If EWE Events hadn't birthed the idea or experienced it, she was slow to accept and/or embrace it.
As we progressed through the months, we often felt secondary and or ignored during our sessions. Elana would pull her laptop out and start sending emails or answering calls during our specified time.
She was a great asset to finding vendors, but if you did not select her recommendation, she gave little attention to ensuring the contract was accurate or vendor questions resolved. We were contacted by several vendors that were frustrated with the lack of response and curt response they received while trying to complete their work.
It is our belief that due to what I will call 'creative differences' (which is absolutely insane that a planner would have such differences with the client...SMH), Elana became petty and spiteful. On the wedding day, she was late getting to the venue because she had stopped by a vendors location and without authorization, authorized them to charge our credit card even though email traffic from her promised that we had met our obligation and the cost in question was hers and not ours. Luckily, we had the email to avoid an ugly dispute yet Elana’s comments to the vendor tried to suggest that we were fighting paying our bill…silly, as we paid for our wedding in total before the wedding day…at a tune of $40K plus.
