Hiring Melissa Betancourt as our wedding planner was without a doubt the best decision! Her warm and bubbly personality combined with her knowledge of Miami vendors, hotels and venues really put us at ease while planning long-distance from New York. The level of care she put into everything was amazing, and her genuine desire to make sure we were happy with the outcome was clear from the start. If I changed my mind or came up with a new concept, she was always flexible and willing to make it happen for us. She used her expertise to advise us in areas to save and where to spend, and was really helpful in prioritizing what was most valuable for our big day. She was very conscious of our budget and presented us with the highest quality vendors that fell within those parameters and they all knocked it out of the park.
On our wedding day everything felt completely effortless on our end. I know Melissa put in hard work to ensure that things were running smoothly, and I can’t thank her enough for making me feel stress free while enjoying the best day of our lives. She went above and beyond and I am so grateful to her and her team! -

Wedding of our dreams with Luxurious Events
Everything came together on our wedding day exactly how we hoped it would because of the brilliant team at Luxurious Events. They heard us out in all of our wild and unconventional visions from the first meeting and executed them without a hitch at one of the trickiest, strictest venues to navigate.
They were 100% transparent with us throughout the entire planning process and went above and beyond to make sure that we could practically and successfully execute every request that we had, so that there was no risk for disappointment.
We were really picky about what we wanted for wedding day—from the music, to the layout, to the timeline itself—but Melissa and Dani let us make the call every step of the way, while bringing the expertise and support that we needed to make it happen. They matched us with the right vendors that jived with our vision, (and they work with the best of the best!). Especially when it came to our wild request to find musicians that could play along to every single song we wanted to hear.
If we could do this day a thousand times over, we’d choose to work with Luxurious Events every single time! These ladies will become your friends and genuinely have your back through every little detail. Thank you for sending us off into marriage in the perfectly “us” way we dreamed of. :) -

We worked with Melissa Betancourt from Luxurious Events for over a year. We had no doubt after our first meeting with her that she was the wedding planner we wanted to work with. She definitely captured our vision and gave us brilliant ideas that elevated the wedding to new heights. This Planner has an excellent team that was always willing to help, including Daniella who was also exceptional. The team also has excellent relationships with so many vendors, and Melissa was able to negotiate the best prices and services and pass on their excellent pricing and discounts to us. Melissa kept us so well organized with monthly emails and check in calls so that it never felt stressful. She also accommodated our busy work schedules and met us after hours. More importantly, Melissa always made us feel as a priority and as if though we were her only client (which we know we weren't). As the wedding date approached and we were worried about the weather, she had everything lined up for a plan B, which fortunately was never needed because we were blessed with beautiful weather, but the fact that she had everything ready as a backup made us feel more relaxed. The wedding turnout out to be absolutely MAGICAL. Every guest and even vendors commented on the timeless and beautiful wedding which looked like a fairytale. This would not have been possible without our wedding planner, Melissa Betancourt and the team at Luxurious Events.

Melissa always kept our interest in mind that heart. We both have really busy schedules as surgeons in training and she kept us organized and on track for the whole time at the wedding. She made sure to keep us conscious about the budget, which is something that was very important to my husband, and she took that into account. However, she also went above and beyond to find vendors or reach out to places to find things that I wanted, or that were equivalent in my price range. We have crazy hours in Madison and even with our work schedules. She would always make time and flexibility to take our phone calls or answer us at evening time or whenever it was good for us from a work standpoint there were so many times she would fight for us with vendors, if they were issues and she was always your biggest proponent to get what you wanted for the wedding. When I was worried about my vision being lost or something, not being what I wanted, she would make sure to get me more options and she would he really hear my concerns and deliver. She brought in other people from other departments of our team. She really cared and always made me feel calm, relax, and taken care of which was a huge huge component of planning a wedding. Do you want someone that really listens to you, cares about you, will fight for you about pricing and vendors and timing, and basically deliver your vision while still keeping your goals in mind and this is exactly what she did on top of that. She has a great personality and has fun and easy to talk to the whole team including the florist and both Melissas were a joy to work with!!
even on the days that she was not planning my events, she help me and give me advice for venues for my rehearsal dinner, and after party. She went above, and beyond honestly to make you feel very taken care of, and like your wedding was the only thing she was planning!
If you’re thinking about hiring them DO IT! my wedding was a DREAM and it was made into reality because of them!!!! -

I hired Luxurious Events for my wedding at Vizcaya Museum in May, 2023. I was paired with Melissa Betancourt, who was truly incredible. We are based in Washington, DC, and Melissa was amazing at helping us maximize our time when we came down to Florida so that we could get everything done in the most efficient way possible. She was excellent at handling my large family and providing recommendations for us for rehearsal dinner spots and hotel blocks since we were out of town. The big day went perfectly and everything went off with zero issues - which is pretty unheard of for a large wedding. If you are getting at Vizcaya especially, hiring LE is an absolute MUST - there are so many rules and requirements that come along with this venue, and LE navigated all of them perfectly. Seriously, I cannot thank Melissa and the LE team enough for their hard work. Our day was perfect and I would recommend them to any couple getting married in Miami. THANK YOU, LUXURIOUS EVENTS!! -

We had the most incredible experience with Melissa and her team at Luxurious Events. Friendly, prompt, organized, flexible, empathetic, knowledgeable, savvy, well connected - everything you need in a planner. We started working with Melissa in March of 2019 for our March 2020 wedding. We had to postpone just 10 days before our 180 person wedding and moved it...twice. Melissa never complained and always jumped in to help and coordinate changes very quickly. She literally had our wedding fully rebooked in less than 48 hours. She never pressured me into choices and gave me multiple options for every vendor. The vendors we used that she recommended were incredibly friendly and professional. We did use her floral company and our jaws were on the floor walking into the tent - incredible value and execution. She was impressive in the planning phase but when the wedding weekend finally came 3/20/22, let me tell you what - we were ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY. Her attention to detail, level of production and coordination, and true care for us was something I had never experienced before. it was a large outdoor wedding with lots of weather threats and she stayed cool as could be and handled EVERYTHING. I have never felt more taken care of and I am 100% positive we would not have had the absolute dream wedding we had without her. -

We could have not worked with a greater planner in Miami. Melissa and her team are prompt, professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy, creative, dedicated and they hold a relationship with great vendors in Florida. One of the greatest decisions we made for this special moment in our life was working with Luxurious Events. January 2020 Vizcaya Wedding
I can’t say enough positive things about Melissa and her entire team. My husband and I live in New York and had our wedding at Vizcaya in Miami in January 2020. In addition to our wedding, her team did our florals (so insanely beautiful) and planned our three hotel events - rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks event with all of our guests, and after party. Being out of town was a concern of mine that ultimately didn’t matter given the support I had from Melissa and her team.
I interviewed 13 wedding planners and had an immediate comfort and connection with Melissa. She was my clear top choice from the first minute we spoke (before we met). Her professionalism, communication, flexibility, and organized approach won me over, which was proven over and over again throughout the year we worked together. Throughout the planning process her recommendations and teaming were extremely helpful, and I valued her patience with my indecisiveness and very detailed requests. The entire team values the importance of what they are planning, and I felt like it isn’t just a job to them. Luxurious Events alleviated a tremendous amount of stress from my entire wedding experience – from organization / planning (her monthly check lists were essential) to logistics to random wedding etiquette questions. Melissa’s knowledge of the wedding industry, especially weddings at Vizcaya, is second to none.
Before our wedding, we met Melissa and her team twice on trips to Miami that she coordinated to pack in as many wedding to dos as possible – one trip was focused on hotel tours and the other was catering, florals, desert tasting, hair / makeup trials, rentals (chair, tables, chargers, etc.), wedding walk through at Vizcaya, and rehearsal dinner and welcome drink event walkthroughs at the hotel. The support, organization and efficiency during these trips was incredible.
As for the day-of-wedding experience, the Luxurious Events team was an organized machine. Melissa and her team were with us from 8 am to 2 am, handling every detail for us, our wedding party, and our families. Their seamless ability to handle last minute changes alleviated stress and pressure from us and our loved ones (rain occurred right before the ceremony AND extra liquor storage at the end of the wedding). Melissa handled it all so we could enjoy our day and everything went seamlessly. Our wedding was perfect, and it couldn’t have been that way without the Luxurious Events team.
Our guests and families were equally impressed with Melissa and her team. Her entire team was professional, attentive (our parents and us were never without a drink in their hand), and friendly. We cannot be more thankful to Melissa and the team for making our wedding dreams come to life. You could not be in better hands.

They made sure all of our vendors were confirmed, up to speed, on time and doing everything that needed to be done. Their experience also provided great guidance during our wedding planning. I was incredibly lucky to have luxurious events as my DOC. I worked with Melissa and Sylvia and they were both so great and professional. They answered every question i had and recommended excellent vendors i needed last minute. Sylvia was such a team player and worked great with all my vendors to make sure my wedding day went flawless! She went above and beyond to make sure all the small details were taken care of. She was so hands on! I mean, she was even blasting CO2 for our grand entrance!! Sylvia, thank you so much for taking care of all my personal items and for all your help with the coordination. My wedding had A LOT of details and It wouldn’t of been the same with out you.

Highly Recommend!!
I HIGHLY recommend Melissa at Luxurious Events for wedding planning. She truly gave me the wedding of my dreams and then some. We didn’t think we would be able to afford a wedding at a particular venue in Miami, but Melissa made it happen and went above and beyond. Being a destination wedding, I knew it was important to choose someone I trusted to get the job done. Melissa and her team were so professional and we feel so grateful that we got to work with her on our special day! -

My husband and I are from NY and decided to have a destination wedding down in Key Largo. Being that we were far away from our destination, we sought out a wedding planner. In my first communication with Melissa I knew she was the one for us! She had said, "I would have invited you here for cupcakes and champagne, but you are too far away!" A girl right after my own heart.
Melissa was there for us every step of the way. She not only was our wedding planner, she became a friend and someone to lean on during the wedding planning process. Melissa made sure everything was perfect and done the way that we had dreamed it would be. Her attention to detail and knowledge of the wedding industry is bar to none. We felt so comfortable and confident going into our wedding weekend all because of Melissa. We seriously could not have done it without her!

Diandra Sent on 03/27/2015How do I love thee, let me count the ways! My husband and I got engaged in Boston the summer of 2013 and planned to wed in our hometown of Miami. Planning a wedding from 1,000s of miles away seemed like a daunting task, and a family member recommended reaching out out to Melissa. From there, the rest is history!
Melissa and her team took great care to listen to our vision, and did everything possible to bring the vision to life. Melissa is always working, and if she could sense I wasn't 100% happy with something, she would bring other ideas to the table and would not stop until she knew I was content. Her passion for event planning is evident, and that is why we love her! Without Melissa and Luxurious Events, the wedding would not have been possible.
She truly assembled the "dream team" for us in every way - from the rentals, to the DJs, the flowers ,food, photography. We are still OOOing and AAAing at how wonderful everything came out.
Thanks to Melissa, we enjoyed our wedding to the fullest and would not change one thing about how it turned out.

Sofia did all of that plus more. She able to connect us to the right vendors, find a perfect location for our vision etc. Furthermore, when we were unable to come down for our tasting, she along with our photog stepped in to do it and gave us a very detailed description of the food and wine (including pics) and her opinion of what would work best.Our wedding day, was absolutely PERFECT!! I was relaxed and really never concerned with anything except for getting ready because I knew our amazing planner had it all under control. Thanks again! -

Helpful wedding vendor for destination bride.
I am a hard to please, type A personality and I truly feel that Jehane and the Luxurious events team did a great job working with us. Response times were quick and they were really on top of things from the very beginning. I was a destination bride so I was planning my wedding from Alabama. We loved their recommended vendors. And day of Jehane did a fantastic job coordinating everything so much so that guests commented on the flow and timeliness of everything. I also want to point out the florals were freaking stunning and they are done by the Luxurious Events team. I have my bouquet as my screen saver on my phone lol that's just how much I loved it. Incredible work. -
