Vicki Hlousek, Kirkbrides September 2023 Wedding

Working with Kirkbrides was the best decision we could have made when beginning our wedding planning journey. As soon as we got engaged, my mother-in-law said, “We need to call Vicki.” And I truly cannot imagine what our experience would have been like had we not had Vicki Hlousek as our planner.

Vicki was our champion, confidante, friend and guide throughout the entire process, and she worked diligently to create an absolutely beautiful wedding weekend that was perfect for us. Not only beautiful in the design and details, but also in the sense that we were able to be present and soak in all of the sentimental moments of our wedding, knowing that Vicki and the Kirkbrides team were on the ball.

The prospect of planning a wedding is intimating, but Vicki had an incredibly organized approach, walking us through each step and ensuring we were always on schedule. From logistics and coordinating with vendors to recommending stunning design ideas, Vicki always had a way of fighting for our vision and offering wonderful suggestions whenever we needed to switch gears.

The wedding planning process was enjoyable and less stressful simply because we had Vicki by our side. And when we actually got to our wedding day - WOW! Seeing our reception venue come to life was such a special moment of the day. It was everything we pictured and so much more. This woman makes dreams happen!

Vicki and the entire Kirkbrides team were thorough, thoughtful, incredibly professional and adaptable to any and all minor mishaps that a wedding day brings! From running back to our ceremony venue to pick up bedazzled shoes that were left behind for the reception, to fixing a button on the groom’s jacket minutes before the ceremony. My husband and I and both of our families felt so taken care of by Vicki and the entire team. We are still getting raving reviews from our guests about how heartfelt and fairytale-esque our wedding was, and that is such a testament to all of the hard work behind the scenes of the Kirkbrides team!

We genuinely miss our daily calls with Vicki, but we are so excited for future couples to get to work with her and experience the magic of Kirkbrides.

Best Wedding Planners Ever!

I don’t have enough words to describe how amazing Jayna was leading up to and on our big day! I sincerely could not have done this without her. She dealt with every email I sent in a timely manner and always encouraged my ideas while staying on budget. I cannot recommend her enough as your wedding planner. I’ll use kirkbrides to plan all my big events in the future 💕

If you are looking for someone to take the day of stress off your shoulders I highly recommend hiring Kirkbrides! From the beginning they were supportive and gave tons of information. Our wedding would not have been possible without the team. Jess was our head coordinator who took care of all the little details that play a big role into the day. Best day ever!!

I worked with Katie for about a year and a half planning our wedding on 7/10/21. I always knew I wanted to hire a wedding planner being that I was finishing up my last year of grad school while planning. However, so many people discouraged me from doing so and told me it was not worth the money. I cannot even begin to describe how wrong everyone was!! Out of the hundreds of decisions that come with planning a wedding, choosing Katie was my best one by far. Not only is she professional, creative, organized, and unbelievably talented and amazing at her job, she is truly one of the best, most kind, humans I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Wedding planning can be very stressful, especially during a pandemic! Katie consistently kept me grounded and calm. She handled any issues or stressors that arose in the planning process with absolute grace and helped my husband and I navigate very tricky and sensitive family situations. She communicated clearly and constantly and even with weddings almost every weekend leading up to our big day, we NEVER felt like we were unimportant to her. She helped me make big decisions, worked things out when I changed my mind, and was so patient with me throughout the whole process. Her support was unwavering, even if I needed to vent about non-wedding stuff.

We knew our wedding would be beautiful, but we never imagined it would be what it was. I honestly have goose bumps every time I think about it. Katie and our entire vendor team executed our vision so perfectly. We had so many people come up to us or reach out to us after to tell us they were so moved by the entire day and had the best time. Our families (and my husband and I) were able to not worry about a single detail and truly just focus on enjoying the day and weekend. We all felt so taken care of and Katie knew what we needed without even asking most of the time. Shout out to Ajia, Shelby, and Rachel who were with us on wedding day as well and helped to make the day run so smoothly. They were amazing! Thank you ladies!

Katie and the Kirkbrides team went above and beyond to make 7/10/21 the best day of our lives. Luke and I cannot ever express our full gratitude. We feel so lucky to have worked with her and gotten to know her. So much so that I was crying and hugging her at the end of the night before our sparkler exit because even though it meant we were about to embark on a very exciting new chapter of being husband and wife, it also meant our time working with Katie was coming to an end. Brides and future brides— PLEASE hire Katie/Kirkbrides if you are looking for a wedding planner. I cannot say enough wonderful things.

Stress Free!!!

When my now husband and I began planning our wedding, I knew that I wanted a planner/coordinator involved at some point but my husband was a bit skeptical if it really made sense within our budget. I'm happy to say that after our wedding was all said and done, my husband said to me "I don't know what we would of done without them, they were 100% worth it!". We worked with Stephanie and she was very flexible with us on what we were looking for her assistance on and what we wanted to handle ourselves. She ended up creating a special package for us where she sat down with us about a year before our wedding and talked through what I lovingly called the "vibe" of our wedding. We walked through all the major pieces and from our conversation, she created a design packet that I was able to share with prospective vendors. Then, about 3 months out from the wedding, Stephanie came back in and did the full on coordination from there. We got married at a warehouse space that was really a "blank slate" so we had a handful of various vendors, all coming in and handling different pieces parts of the day at different times and Stephanie stepped in without missing a beat. She scheduled a walk through with all of the vendors and created a full on timeline of the day and ceremony. She went over details that my husband and I would have not even known to consider or solve for. On the day of the wedding, Stephanie and another assistant, Jayna, met us at our hotel, delivered my bouquet, and then Jayna came with us to all of our picture locations, held any of our extra items and coats, came in clutch with the stain remover from the inevitable dirt stains and took secret pictures to share with us as a sneak peek before we got our official pictures from our photographer. All the while, Stephanie was setting up the ceremony and reception at the space and all we did was show up and rave about how perfect everything was! I cannot say enough good things about Stephanie and the rest of the Kirkbrides team and can't recommend them enough. Hands down best money we spent!! Thank you Stephanie!!!!!

Do Yourself a Favor: Hire Kirkbrides

When my now-husband and I got engaged, I knew right out of the gate that having a day-of wedding coordinator was going to be essential for several reasons.

First, I’ve been in several weddings where the happy couple didn’t have a day-of wedding coordinator. While those were still absolutely fantastic events, I saw just how much the bride, groom, and their families had to do on the wedding day in order to make sure things were running smoothly (or to smooth things over when they weren’t running smoothly!). We knew that we didn’t want that for ourselves or our families for our wedding day.

Second, my husband and I aren’t professional event planners, and we don’t know the first thing about coordinating such a large event with so many moving pieces and parts. Google and wedding blogs can only get you so far, so we knew we wanted a professional to provide advice and help us navigate the unknown and foreign elements of coordinating our wedding day.

Third, my husband and I are both employed full-time, and planning our wedding, in and of itself, felt like an additional full-time job at times. However, I am a control freak, so I knew that we wanted to be the ones to actually plan the wedding, but we also wanted the security of having someone to be able to check in with, to ensure that we were on the right track. Moreover, we also wanted to make sure that, if we were going to put this much time into planning something, that it was going to be executed flawlessly.

Enter Vicki Hlousek at Kirkbrides, who was the day-of coordinator for our November 2019 wedding. We literally can’t say enough wonderful things about Vicki. From the initial meeting with Vicki all the way through the wedding day itself, Vicki was fantastic. She communicated extremely promptly and in a helpful manner; she kept us organized; she was there to provide advice and words of reassurement. And ultimately, she made our vision come to life.

On our actual wedding day, Vicki and her team were there to solve problems. An element of the wedding didn’t go as planned, and Vicki and her team were there to help fix it, all with a smile on their faces and a calming presence. To be honest, we literally can’t even tell you all the fires that we are sure Vicki and her Kirkbrides team put out on our wedding day, because we didn’t even know the fires were happening. That’s how incredible they are. For example, the bustle on my dress had a bit of a malfunction while it was getting bustled, and I literally had zero idea, even though I was still wearing the dress when it happened.

All in all, our event was in good hands from start to finish thanks to Vicki and her Kirkbrides team. We would encourage every bride and groom to use Kirkbrides for at least day-of coordination -- it will 100% be money well spent.

Hands down best wedding planner in the business!

I would first like to say, hiring Allison Miller from Kirkbrides as my wedding planner was hands down the best decision I made as a bride - aside from saying yes :) My husband and I both travel weekly for work and live in Chicago. I was so stressed trying to plan a wedding in Cleveland from hundreds of miles away. After we hired Allison, all my worries disappeared. Allison suggested the BEST vendors to work with and was so flexible with our busy schedule. She is incredibly organized and knows ALL of the ins and outs of a wedding. The day of our wedding, I did not have a worry in the world and everything ran SO smoothly! A small example of how sweet she is - when my bridesmaids and I were getting ready, she came into our room to steam the dresses and shawls that everyone was wearing. My family and friends were so impressed by her as well. Any request that I had, Allison had the answer or knew a solution. I could not have done my wedding without her. I promise any bride that you will not go wrong working with Kirkbrides and if you are lucky enough to work with Allison, you are in the best of hands.

Amazing wedding planners!

Stephanie at Kirkbrides is the best wedding planner there is! I simply don't know how anyone could be better at their job than Stephanie is. Stephanie helped my family and I plan a large wedding at my parent's home this summer for 250 people, where we had to bring in everything (restroom trailers, power, generators, tents, flooring, lighting, sound, catering, etc., the list goes on and on). I am a bit of a control freak, so I was uncertain at first to work with a planner, but Stephanie took the ideas I had for my wedding and turned them into truly incredible visions that could be executed by her and vendors. The final product on my wedding day was beyond all expectations I had ever had, and working with Stephanie made the process feel seamless.

Stephanie knew exactly which vendors we should contact for which needs, and she already had great working relationships with many of them, which made the process run that much smoother! Anytime we had ANY question for ANY vendor, Stephanie reached out to make sure we received the clarification we were looking for.

After a yearlong process of working together, it is hard to put into words just what her hard work meant to our family. But I know that my wedding day would not have been ANYTHING like it was without Stephanie's creativity, unbelievable event management skills, and her easygoing personality that makes working with her so wonderful. Wedding planning can definitely be stressful, but Stephanie's supreme organization, and ability to understand our vision put everyone at ease.

Stephanie did not let any detail go overlooked, and on the wedding day brought in an amazing team of coordinators to ensure that the event ran smoothly. We also got to work with the owner of Kirkbrides, Val, who was simply amazing – so professional, and thoughtful, and just like Stephanie, did not let a single detail go overlooked.

My family and I are so blown away by Stephanie and Kirkbrides. Their hard work over the past year made my wedding day the dream that it was. We would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. We love Kirkbrides!!!

Amazing Coordination Services

I have been to several Kirkbrides weddings. All beautiful, and all different themes. Each of the brides told me how helpful Kirkbrides was in the planning process. I decided to use them for my wedding and I could not have been more impresssed and pleased. Katie Foulds was my plannner. My wedding was gorgeous thanks to all of Katie’s suggestions. I had a faint vision of what I wanted but didn’t know how to execute it but Katie took my ideas and preferences and bought it to such an amazing level. The day of the wedding was seemless. Everything ran on time and no one felt like they didn’t know where to go or what to do. My family , especially my mother, was able to enjoy my wedding and not have to worry about any of the details. Katie made the day perfect, every detail was well thought out and executed. Did I mention I gave her 6 months to plan the wedding? She is the ultimate wedding planner. Allison is one of the other stellar wedding planners and I would highly recommend her as well.

I live out of state and was so overwhelmed with the wedding planning process. We decided in December 2017 that we wanted to get married in September 2018 so that only gave us 9 months to plan everything. My now husband is a busy physician that didn't really have the time or energy to help with planning so I was stuck with doing the majority of the work myself on top of working full-time. I am sooo happy I decided hire Kirkbrides! Vicki was amazing and made sure I was on top of everything. She was able to handle so many things that I really did not have the time to do (i.e calling different vendors for pricing, going in person to pick out details/decor). The wedding day ran smoothly and I was so happy to have had Vicki and her team there helping coordinate. I honestly would have been an anxious mess if she wasn't there making sure everything and everyone was on time. If you're feeling overwhelmed and are stressing about wedding planning, I would recommend hiring Kirkbrides. I am so happy I did and had such a perfect wedding day!

My husband and I have busy schedules. He works long days and I work out of town 4 days out of the week, so we knew that having the right planner would be important. Kirkbrides far exceeded our expectations. Our planner Stephanie coordinated with all vendors--making all calls and setting up meetings for us . All we had to do was show up and make final decisions. From negotiating on behalf with our venue and caterer, to helping us design a beautiful wedding, to ordering last minute touches to make the reception truly "ours", Stephanie was there, anticipating our every need and in many cases, taking care of them before we even knew there was something to take care of. She also considered our budget at every turn and worked hard for us to stay within our limit (as hard as that may have been at times), understanding the areas we were willing to spend a little more on and the areas we were looking to do more economically. It was refreshing to know that in a wedding process where at times it seems like everyone is out to get you to spend more, we had someone looking out for our financial interests too.

On the day of our wedding, Stephanie was there to keep everything on schedule, toting around what I like to refer as her "magic bag", which literally contained anything you might possibly need, including duct tape. (Who knew I'd need duct tape on the day of our wedding?) Stephanie was organized and professional, and took care of everything so that my husband and I could just enjoy our special day. It took so much stress out of a potentially stressful day knowing Stephanie was there handling everything in the background. We received too many compliments to count from our guests after the wedding, praising how well the wedding ran, how gorgeous the decor was, etc. This can all be attributed to Stephanie's amazing work.

Allison Miller was the wedding planner for our daughter's wedding and Hannah was there the day of the event because Allison had another wedding. Both were exceptional! Allison is amazing! She kept us focused, was mindful of our budget and had great suggestions, ideas and resources. Anytime my daughter or I had a question or wanted to talk, Allison was always available or if she was busy, she responded immediately with a time we could talk. Hannah was amazing for the day of coordination. She was on top of everything and made sure that every detail was carried out way we had planned. Kirkbrides far exceeded all of our expectations!

I planned the majority of our wedding, with a lot of help and support from my family, particularly my mom, dad and husband. When it came to the wedding day itself, I really wanted my family, who put so much into planning our big day, to be able to relax and enjoy themselves without having to worry about any planning details. So we decided to get a day-of wedding coordinator and chose Kirkbrides based on their reputation in Cleveland and great value. A friend of mine told me that investing in day-of coordination would be the smartest decision we could make about our wedding day, and she was right!

Our day-of coordinator was Roxanne, who is an absolute joy to work with. In fact, we wished we had chosen the full wedding planning package just so we could have worked with her more! Every interaction with Roxanne was a pleasant one. She’s a great listener, always offered valuable advice, and completely put us at ease. She’s poised, mature, detail oriented, and professional. You can trust you are in good hands with Roxanne!

Not only did we have Roxanne all day, but she also had two assistants. We felt so fortunate to have so much help! They did an amazing job coordinating everything with our venue and our team of wedding pros. I didn’t have to worry about a thing all day, which means a lot since I’m a bit obsessive over details. We were able to fully hand over the reins to Kirkbrides and relax. Our guests kept commenting on how well planned and seamless the entire day was, and that’s due to Roxanne and her team. Our wedding day was perfect!

I don't even have words on how grateful we are that we had Allison and Kirkbrides taking care of us throughout the entire wedding process. Kirkbrides was a critical part to our wedding-- I'm not sure we would have gotten there without her, especially as we were from out of town and trying to plan a wedding from several states away. I still tell friends who are getting married to get a wedding planner because of Allison. It was easily the best decision we made about the entire wedding, and well-worth it for the amount of stress and anxiety she was able to relieve us of. From beginning to end, she was invaluable. She solved so many problems for us, from managing my mother's efforts to DIY certain aspects of the wedding, helping to meld our disparate ideas together for a coherent wedding, finding us vendors (some when we changed our minds about what we needed at the last minute), making all of the phone calls and conducting the outreach we needed, and helping to guide us through the day. Her recommendations for vendors were spot on- all of my bridesmaids are still, months later, complimenting how their hair and makeup turned out from the artists Allison found for us on short notice after my own choices didn't workout. She was extremely patient with our indecisiveness and never showed a hint of anxiety when we needed a limo or vans or couldn't get our seating chart in until the last minute. She helped find solutions that made everyone happy when my mother and I butted heads on some aspects of the wedding (and let's just say there were many of these moments). These are just some of many, many things she did for us. I wish I could post pictures so that everyone could see how beautiful the wedding turned out with the help of Kirkbrides. Allison was nothing but enthusiastic and supportive throughout the whole process. It made us both feel so much better about our decisions and so much more relaxed so that we could focus on our vows and have fun on our wedding day.

If you're on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, make the investment and hire Kirkbrides. Katie and Valerie made our wedding planning process so much easier. I would find myself emailing Katie about the most random topics, whether it was wedding etiquette, linen fabrics, or venue locations, no matter the topic large or small, Katie was always prompt and professional. Offering logistic, creative and emotional support, Katie and her team made my wedding day amazing and I would highly recommend bringing them on when planning your wedding.

Katie of Kirkbrides is invaluable! We cannot thank Katie enough for all that she did to make our big day run perfectly. Because of Katie's help and talent, my family and I were able to relax and truly enjoy the day knowing that Katie and her assistant were handling the logistics. Hiring Allison Miller as our wedding coordinator was one of the best wedding-related decisions we made. While I enjoy planning myself and consider myself very organized, Allison's calm demeanor and professional expertise were huge assets throughout the wedding planning processing. Allison was quick to answer any questions I had leading up to the wedding day, and in the last two weeks, really took the reins and ensured that every vendor was confirmed and on time. This is such a busy time already, and having a pro like Allison keeping the trains running is invaluable. Choosing Kirkbrides was by far the best decision my family and I made in planning my wedding. Katie was absolutely AMAZING. Not only did she make the planning as fun and stress free as possible, but her organization, perfect coordination, and warm smile made the day such a joy. My family and I were not originally set on having a planner, but we probably said "thank goodness we have Katie!" every week and about 100 times on the wedding day. Everyone on her team day-of that were there were fantastic as well - just a wonderful group to have around.

Katie Foulds was the wedding planner for my daughter's wedding and I don't have enough words to express how wonderful she made the day. She was with us every step of the way for the last year and made the process so much fun and stress free. They day of the wedding couldn't have gone any better and she along with her assistants were truly amazing. Katie was by far the best decision in our wedding planning.

Allison Miller of Kirbrides was my life saver! I had to plan a wedding in Cleveland from Boston, so I knew it would be difficult to do on my own. I had heard about Kirkbrides through a friend, and using this company was the best choice I could have made for planning my wedding! Allison was so professional, responsive and helpful in every way. She had amazing ideas and helped me create the wedding of my dreams. I used her for everything. Her schedule for meetings was flexible, as I had to travel in to town to accomplish several in person meeting at a time, she always responded quickly via phone call, text or email, and she offered very helpful opinions. She was so pleasant always, and I now consider her a friend! I HIGHLY recommend using Kirkbrides and Allison in any and every way that you can for your wedding. I could not have done it without her! Choosing Kirkbrides to help plan our wedding was the best decision we made about the entire process. As a couple, we were getting married in Cleveland, but we live two and half hours away. Working with Allison was wonderful. She was able to connect us with great vendors and help us work with our schedules during the times we could be in town. The day of the wedding, everything went so smooth, and if anything went wrong, we still do not know. It was wonderful to have Allison meet with the vendors as they arrived on site, allowing the bridal party and parents the opportunity to enjoy the day. Kirkbrides was worth everything and I will always be grateful to them for all they did from planning to reception.

Hiring Kirkbrides was hands down the BEST and most important decision we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. We met Hannah, our planner who was absolutely amazing. She was so organized, knowledgeable, honest and creative. We literally gave her an idea and overall feel of what we wanted for our wedding and she made it even better than what we could have dreamt of! She handled every single detail...even down to finding an invitation we loved and ordering it, ordering our postage, addressing them and mailing them out for us. She was always very mindful of our budget, kept us right on track and found creative ways to give us exactly what we wanted but for much less money. I honestly don't know where we would be if we did not have Hannah. The day of the wedding she was there bright and early checking on me and all of our vendors. She made sure the entire day went seamless. She handled every issue before it even got to me and that in itself is priceless. I HIGHLY recommend Kirkbrides for any couple getting married. I was extremely lucky to work with Allison Miller as my day-of coordinator. However, Allison was much more than a day-of coordinator; she patiently and thoughtfully answered all of our questions, visited the venue with us twice to help decide on linens and other wedding details, and led our wedding rehearsal. I cannot begin to explain how organized and diligent she was. She answered e-mails and phone calls within hours at all times of day. It relaxed us so much knowing that she paid so much attention to detail. She listened carefully to our vision and brought everything together beautifully.

On the day of our wedding, everything went perfectly and I know that was in HUGE part due to Allison’s organizational skills and creativity. Allison and the Kirkbrides team made the day completely stress free, allowing us to enjoy our wedding without worrying about all of the details.

I would absolutely recommend Kirkbrides to anyone looking for help with their wedding planning! Allison was truly amazing – we could not have pulled off our wedding weekend without her!

It was truly a pleasure to work with Valarie and her team at Kirkbrides! Due to our jobs, my husband and I travel quite often so it was important that we had a wedding planner on the ground that would keep us organized, on-track, and provide a sense of creativity that we both lacked. From our first meeting with Valarie we immediately knew that she was well experienced and had so many great ideas to offer. We engaged her roughly 16 months before our wedding date and she was more than prepared to hit the ground running and turn our unrefined wedding ideas into a beautiful reality. Throughout the entire process Valarie was flexible and willing to answer any questions we had, including those that came in the form of panicked emails after over thinking minute details. She always had a way of calming me down and making the decision process smooth.

Valarie has a great relationship with so many vendors in the Cleveland area so it was no issue for her to quickly connect us with respectable vendors who aligned with our wedding vision and most importantly our budget! My husband and I could not be happier with the vendors we ultimately selected and the services they provided on our big day. Speaking of the big day, it was so effortless for us and our wedding party. Valarie and her team did such an excellent job preparing for the event and ensuring it went smoothly. Everyone was so impressed with how organized our wedding was and how helpful Valarie and her team were the day of. Everyone, especially our guests, were also very impressed with how everything turned out decor wise. Valarie brought some great ideas to the table that turned out beautifully! I am so blessed to have Valarie as my wedding planner. I would like to explain how amazing she is!! When we first started our journey she was pregnant and was unsure if she could take me on and as a bride from out of state I was lost already. I emailed her back and she sent me recommendations of other local planners!! I mean come on! At the end we knew it was just meant to be. She knows her stuff!! There is no bluff or pushing you into only her vendors and many people will try to tell you that planners will do. She is a great guide for you and soon she will know you so well that she knows the decision you will make. She makes sure the wedding is about you.

There is no better feeling then calling places and when you drop your wedding planners name they talk about how much they love her and how lucky I am. She just makes life easier. She stays in your budget and will suggest better solutions to get what you want, but not at the cost of it being cheap. I live in NYC and planning a wedding in Cleveland is not easy, but Valarie was the best wedding planner any bride could ask for. I gained a friend from the experience. I know I don't know any other wedding planners, but she is by far the BEST!

I literally cannot say enough good things about Allison at Kirkbrides!! I wish every bride had the chance to work with her! We hired her as a full service wedding planner for our August wedding in downtown Cleveland. We live out-of town in Washington, DC, and despite this extra logistical burden, Allison made the entire process simple and as stress free as possible. We really could not have the wedding we wanted without her help.

Everything a wedding planner could do, she did it, from recommending vendors and scheduling meetings, to responding to emails/calls at all hours, to giving advice on wedding etiquette, to even putting together our favors!

Her day-of wedding services were also amazing. Our married friends warned us "something small goes wrong at every wedding, but no one notices besides the bride and groom, so don't stress." But really, at our wedding, NOTHING went wrong - the day was perfect due to Allison's planning and attention to detail.

Allison is not only an awesome wedding planner who goes above and beyond, but she's also a great and caring person who was a pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend her highly enough!!

Valarie and her team were amazing to work with through the entire wedding process - start to finish! I cannot write enough wonderful things and cannot express how valuable Allison Miller of Kirkbrides Wedding Planning and Design was to me during my wedding planning process. Allison kept me organized and saved me money and time. She maintained contracts, asked pertinent and important questions (ones that never crossed my mind!), managed vendors, and kept me on budget. A lot of stress during the planning process is keeping the little (yet important) details straight and Allison was there to handle it all.
I had many ideas for the style of wedding I wanted, and Allison took my dream wedding and executed it impeccably. She knew how to accomplish all of the ideas that I thought were merely magazine photo shoots – and all within my budget!
Allison recommended vendors within my budget that fit with the style of my wedding. I was comfortable with all the vendors I chose knowing that Allison had worked with them before. She facilitated open communication between my vendors and me. She answered every question I had promptly and thoroughly – I was constantly impressed by her knowledge. She worked tirelessly for me and she wouldn’t rest until I was happy.
By the time the week of my wedding arrived I didn’t have a worry in the world. Because of Allison I was able to enjoy the days leading up to my wedding without an ounce of stress or fear that I was forgetting something. She fielded last minute questions and confirmed all of my vendors. The day of my wedding went off without a single hitch. She managed the itinerary seamlessly. She made sure the décor was executed perfectly. She truly made my wedding day perfect. I honestly don’t know how I would have done it all without her!
One of the greatest parts of working with Allison is that my mom, my husband and I were able to enjoy the experience knowing that we were in very capable hands. I can’t thank Allison enough for everything she did for us!

We hired Allison for "day of coordination," which is such an understatement considering everything she did. I was planning from out of state and she was unbelievably helpful via phone and e-mail giving us recommendations on vendors and helping us with various logistical issues. We had an in-person meeting, a walk through at the venue the week of the wedding, she attended our rehearsal, and on the day of the wedding she seemed to be in a million places at once (and always with a smile!) She did so much and I just felt like we were in such good hands and it allowed my husband and I to relax so much more on the day of the wedding. Our wedding would not have been the same without her!

Valarie and Kirkbrides came highly recommended to me by a multiple people. Best decision ever to hire Valarie. She was beyond helpful throughout my entire planning process and I really trusted her. She has such unique, creative ideas and fantastic taste to match. I was always relieved after running something by her. She is highly organized and equally kind, approachable and understanding. She knows the Cleveland wedding scene, always has an answer (which is is exactly what you want when you are planning a wedding), has great contacts and has the ability to visualize the “big picture” to ensure easy transitions, keep track of time and manage other vendors. I hired Kirkbrides for a day of coordination services and I think I got more than my money's worth. I was a little apprehensive about hiring a coordinator because of the cost, but we chose a package that was affordable for us and it was well worth it. Allison Miller was our coordinator and she is a total pro. She saved us so much stress and made things run so smoothly. Allison made a super streamlined itinerary and made sure everyone was on the same page. I don't know what we would have done without her. I highly recommend hiring her.

I could not recommend Kirkbrides and Allison, our wedding planner, more! I knew that I needed help planning our wedding, but I was unsure of where to turn. Upon reading these reviews I called Kirkbrides and after our first meeting, I knew that Allison would be the perfect person to coordinate our wedding. Allison made the complicated and often confusing process of planning a wedding, a very simple and enjoyable one. She is creative, punctual, kind, efficient and exceptionally organized. She has long standing relationships with the vendors all over town and it seems that everyone not only knows her, but adores her (for good reason!). Her connections made the planning process run extremely smoothly and she was able make every desire we had for the wedding possible, while keeping us in budget at the same time. She is the sole reason why our wedding was such a success and I couldn’t be more grateful for her and her team’s help. Kirkbrides was unbelievable to work with!! I felt like I made all the decisions and was in control, but that all the ideas and hard work were already done. Their relationships with other vendors is priceless. I would suggest a vendor because their website was lovely and Kirkbrides would be able to agree with my decision or suggest another vendor based on weddings in the past. We hired Valarie to plan my daughter's wedding in 2011 and recently my son's wedding in 2012. Each time we were extremely happy with the results. Valarie and her staff facilitated the weddings in a very inconspicuous manner. Valarie's attentiveness to detail make the day beautiful and stress-free. Allison Miller and her team took great care of my daughters wedding dreams and planned a wedding day that actually surpassed all of our expectations!!!!!! This beautiful day was planned in 4 short months which is further testimony to Allisons professionalism and organization!!!!!!

Kirkbrides broke the process down, step-by-step, starting with the big-ticket items and working our way down to the smallest detail. Kirkbrides will set up an online portal where they store all of your contracts and update your budget as each item is complete. It was so easy to access and we always knew where we stood in terms of $.

I lived in Cleveland for just three years when we started planning the wedding. I had no idea what florist or lighting vendor was “good,” and the sea of potential vendors was endless (just go to any bridal show). Because Kirkbrides has operated in the Cleveland wedding market for years, it already had a list of vetted vendors that previously demonstrated their ability to provide exemplary work. I cannot tell you how much easier it was for us to review five potential bands instead of researching every potential band in the greater Cleveland area.

One of the other major reasons we decided to hire a wedding planner was to take the stress off of our families during the week leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. And while I think it is typical for the bride’s mother to start out skeptical of the wedding planner, I can’t tell you how many times my Mom and I said, “I can’t imagine doing this without Valarie.” Our Moms were able to focus on managing the families and friends; while Kirkbrides worried about executing the details. This allowed everyone to relax and enjoy the wedding day, instead of worrying about the small details, such as whether or not the head-table is set up correctly.

Kirkbrides’ creativity is second to none. An example of when we really had to trust your experience was when you suggested we start with a fifteen minute dance set after the cocktail hour and before dinner. When you suggested this for the first time, I’m sure I looked at you like you had two heads. I had never seen this done before! But once you explained to us that this set the tone of the event and kept the guests engaged, we decided to go for it. Thank goodness we did! The dance floor was packed for the entire night! I can’t tell you how many comments we heard that “so-and-so never dances, but they were dancing up a storm tonight!”

A second example of Kirkbrdies’ creativity was the dance floor decal. It started with a telephone conversation where I was telling you about this amazing dance floor decal I saw on David Tutera’s show “My Fair Wedding.” I was telling you about it, never thinking that it could be a possibility for our Cleveland wedding. You immediately jumped in with, “We can totally do that if you want to!” Within a few days, you located the company that prepared the dance floor on the show, solicited a quote and checked to ensure the wedding venue would allow such a dance floor. We used the dance floor decal (we are the first to do so in Cleveland, I believe?), and it accented the room beautifully. David Tutera, himself. would be proud."

Any girl would be sure to say that the most important day of their life is their wedding day. When it comes to your wedding day, the vase amount of elements that go in to the planning is absolutely overwhelming. My husband and I did not want a long engagement. It was my dream to get married during the summer and after he purposed in December, we didn’t have much time to get everything together – only seven months to be exact! We both knew that we needed someone we could trust to help us get everything in order. Valarie Kirkbride, in the wedding planning world, was our knight in shining armor. She was absolutely the best person we could have had be a part of every little detail in our wedding. Kirkbrides was there each and every step of the way, with suggesting the right vendors for our event, helping us pick the décor, flowers and linens, the tents, band, chairs and so so so much more. Kirkbrides not only kept us on track with our time frame, but also successfully coordinated everything with all the various vendors.

Kirkbrides was so organized and helped us to plan the most perfect event for our budget. I could not imagine not having Kirkbrides be our wedding planner. Each meeting was something that not only my husband and I enjoyed going to together, but it was a group gathering that my parents so very much enjoyed being a part of as well – and they could not have been more accommodating to our schedules! To this day I remain friends with Valarie. Kirkbrides was truly what made my wedding day the best day of my entire life. I could not be happier and more thankful for everything they did for us. We worked with Kirkbrides for day of coordination services, and it might have been the best investment we made for our wedding! We worked with Allison, who ended up having a conflict on our date. She made arrangements for coverage but continued to work with us pretty much up until our wedding day. Our reception was at Whiskey Island, and Allison and the other coordinators we worked with (I am blanking on their names, Maura and one other...) were amazing. Everything went smoothly and if something went wrong, I still don't have a clue, which is exactly what I wanted! I think I have Kirkbrides to thank for my essentially stress free wedding day.

Valerie and her staff were outstanding throughout the process, from the initial planning stages to the day of our wedding. I felt as though I had good information from them on a regular basis, their knowledge of and experience with local vendors was timely and very helpful and whenever my wife and I had questions, they were answered quickly and effectively.

The day of the wedding could not have gone better and their team was a big part of that success. The itinerary that they prepared beforehand was very helpful and seemed to keep all parties informed. I did not notice one item that seemed incorrect, out of place, missed, etc. In fact, everything went so smoothly that we got numerous compliments.

Throughout the planning process Valarie was extremely helpful and professional. Kirkbrides was a wonderful wedding planning experience. The team members made a ton of suggestions for theme, colors, decor, food, etc so that I knew all the options available to me, but at the same time they let my fiance and I make the decisions that were fitting with our idea of our wedding day. I worked with Allison of Kirkbrides to plan our July wedding. We had a fairly short engagement, and were planning our Ohio wedding (where my husband is from,) from our home in Denver, Colorado. I am not familiar with the area, and found putting the wedding together increasingly difficult. When we hired Allison, it was a HUGE relief. She didn't stress about the lack of time, or the fact that I would not be able to fly in again to go and meet vendors with her. She was flexible, professional, friendly, reassuring - basically everything you want of a planner. And she did it all over of the phone with me. She was able to put together an eco-friendly, romantic and beautiful outdoor wedding that truly reflected our taste, based off of nothing but our conversations and a few pictures I sent her of things we liked. The did an AMAZING job and I highly recommend Kirkbrides to all brides-to-be who need a helping hand in planning the big day.

Our wedding planner was Allison Miller. She was absolutely amazing. She did both of our daughters weddings (and they were both in 2017). My daughters had very different styles and Allison worked well with both of them. She offered suggestions, was not pushy, but gently guided us to get all the tasks done. One daughter was in California while we planned here in Cleveland. Allison helped her find vendors that she knew were good and reliable. She kept her sense of humor and helped us be organized. As the Mother of the Bride, I knew I did not need to worry about anything the day of the wedding and that was a huge load off my mind.

Roxanne was professional, fun & easy to work with. We had communication issues with the reception venue and Roxanne did a great job working with them and helping keep everything on task. We hired Kirkbrides for Day of Wedding Coordination because neither myself nor the groom live in Cleveland. Everything went really well through the planning stages but the execution fell a bit flat. The coordinator assigned to my wedding couldn't make it to my wedding rehearsal, so they had someone else coordinate that instead. On the day of the wedding, the guests were supposed to enter from one door and the other door was meant to be for the bridal party only. When I arrived at the wedding venue, guests were entering from both doors and I had to sit and wait in the limo for 20 minutes because for some reason this couldn't be remedied. People participating in the ceremony didn't seem to be getting any instructions from the coordinators. While I was waiting, a few times they told me that the way was clear for me to go to the bridal prep room but there were still guests milling around. So several guests saw me in my wedding dress before the ceremony even began. They even managed to confuse some of the other vendors in terms of the timeline for photographs and the rest of the day. In the end, I the bride, had to be the one telling everyone what they needed to do and when. The Day of Wedding Coordination fees weren't that high, so I wasn't upset about having paid for this service, but it didn't really add much value to event.

Valerie, the owner of Kirkbrides, got in touch with me regarding this review. She was genuinely upset that I wasn't 100% pleased with my coordination services. She assured me that my feedback was being taken seriously and that she is making changes within her team to ensure that Kirkbrides' reputed high standards remain in tact.

My husband and I originally hired Valarie to help keep things running smoothly the day of our wedding. We wanted to be able to enjoy the day and not have to worry about a thing. During our first meeting, we also decided to get help coordinating the decor for our wedding. The planning process for the decor went well. Valarie was always prompt with replies to emails and phone calls. She set up meetings with our florist, and arranged for lighting, linens, and a photo booth.

Sadly, our wedding day did not run as smoothly. The wedding day was the main reason we hired valarie and the service definitely fell short. I had a large spot on the back of my dress. I asked Valarie if she had anything to remove it. She said yes but never gave me anything to remove the spot. When we arrived at the reception hall early, my bridesmaids noticed that my father and siblings were not going to be seated at a table in the family section. One bridesmaid told Valarie three times and nothing was done to change it. When I mentioned it to Valarie she did fix it minutes before guests arrived. I then asked if there were any other mistakes and if so, we needed to fix them immediately. She said she didn't know because the seating chart was in her car.

Throughout the reception I was repeatedly approached by the staff of the facility to ask different questions. They were all things that we had covered with Valarie and we had to keep directing people to her. When it came time to do the bouquet toss I realized I had no toss bouquet even though it was ordered. When I asked Valarie were it was she just said she didn't know and did nothing to try to remedy the problem. There were several other things throughout the reception like candles that were never lit, a missing centerpiece on a guest table but there was one on the staff table, etc.

Unfortunately very disappointing

The team for my wedding was not a pleasure to work with, unfortunately. I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt! However, the lead coordinator sent the wrong itinerary out to vendors, did not guide people to upload photos or sign my guest book (as confirmed the team would), etc. I ended up with only 7 photos. My vendors reached out to ME telling me the team was sitting on their phones. They also were rude to my guests and left early without packing the car with the items they promised to pack. The items they did pack were not laid in the proper containers, there are items missing, and some items broken. I’m sad to write this review because I wanted to have faith in my wedding coordinators - but unfortunately after reaching out to the owner, she is standing by her team being rude and not fulfilling their contract. As a business owner myself, I don’t like to hurt companies - I just wouldn’t want another bride to have to deal with what I did - nor have their guests be treated so rudely.

The below response from the owner of the company is incorrect. The team lead was rude to my guests & multiple people witnessed it - including, myself, the bride. Again, all I wanted was an apology and for things to be made right. As a business owner, I wanted the owner of the company to know what happened so she could rectify the situation and not have it happen again in the future. Instead, she referred me to her attorney, did not call me - and is supporting negativity of her employees. Guess that says a lot about the culture of this company. Disappointing. :(
