Huge space, beautiful and affordable. Whats not to love?

Love love love!!! Meredith is absolutely amazing! She truly cares about what was important to us and did her best to accommodate. We had our wedding here August 15, 2015 and everything was perfect!
Meredith and her team did an amazing job at ensuring everything was exactly like we had talked about. She made sure to stick to the timeline we had provided and everything went so smooth! People are still raving about it. The cocktail hour before the reception was beautifully put together and the food from both the cocktail hour and the reception was amazing! The presentation as well as the taste was just like we had discussed at the tasting. Highly recommend this venue!

We worked with Meredith Van der Walt and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and her staff. She made the entire process amazing for us.

They provided an amazing suite which the girls used to get ready on Saturday and there was more than enough room for myself, my bridal party of 7, my mom, my mother in law, a make up artist and 2 hair dressers. We never felt on top of each other and had plenty of space to even have a few dance parties during the day.

The space for the cocktail hour, ceremony and reception were perfect. Hyatt has built these spaces for large events and there was so much already in place that we didn't have to worry about paying extra for which is a relief when you're planning a wedding.

The food was amazing, Chef is awesome and during our tasting she did a great job combining things to make sure our beef option and fish option were exactly what we wanted. We got married on pi day (3.14.15) and neither of us like cake so instead we opted to do pies. They were AMAZING. Some of the best pie I've ever had and they rolled out a pie station for our guests to get individualized mason jars of pie for dessert. We knew we wanted pie but the station was all Meredith's idea and we were so happy to have her!

The hotel staff was great - from giving out gift bags to our guests as they checked in, friendly bellmen and valet drivers, the maids cleaning up the rose petals my bridesmaids decorated the suite with for the wedding night, they were all great.

I honestly loved the fact we got married here and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat!

For us, the Hyatt Regency La Jolla was the perfect hotel to host our wedding for 80 guests, most of whom were from out of town. We wanted a resort-style hotel for out-of-towners to be able to enjoy sunny SoCal weather by the pool yet a hotel “small” enough to feel cozy and easy for our guests to meet and mingle with each other. We loved simply bumping into family and friends in the hotel while running our wedding errands. The weekend went by in a blur so we needed every moment we could get with our guests!

We held all wedding events at the Hyatt—rehearsal dinner at Café Japengo (which also provided a sushi station for our wedding), late afternoon ceremony on the Asteria Terrace to enjoy that great California weather, poolside cocktail hour, and then dinner and dancing in the Vicino Ballroom. The Vicino Ballroom is a glass-encased ballroom, perfect for a reception where we wanted an indoor-outdoor feel. We held our day-after brunch on the Asteria Terrace to again enjoy the gorgeous California sun, then spent a lazy afternoon by the pool with our guests.

We were also lucky enough to stay in the Concordia Suite (bigger than some apartments!) for most of our stay. It served as an awesome bridal suite for the bridal party to get ready, and even hangout for our guests when we ordered pizza for dinner the next night with some friends.

While there were a few issues with our stay (room card-keys not working, cable TV being down), these were minor nuisances that you might expect from any hotel. The Hyatt staff was attentive and responsive. We also love the catering staff—they were just awesome for the reception and for the brunch. Big kudos to the catering wait staff.

And a big thanks to the Hyatt Regency La Jolla for making our wedding weekend a memorable event!

We worked with Meredith to plan our reception and words can't describe how awesome she is! Her and her team were so helpful and organized. It was so easy planning my reception with them, not to mention that the food is out of this world. It is over 6 months after our wedding now and we are still getting compliments about how good the food was at the reception and how beautiful the hall looked. I highly recommend them for reception and catering! Absolutely fantastic!
