We decided to go with pies for our wedding and foudn Ed's Country Bakery. They were amazing. They made us 28 pies and everyone we talked to loved them. We had pumpkin, peanut butter, chocolate cream, and apple. We personally ate pumpkin and peanut butter and they tasted great. They are so good that we are making sure we go back once a month for a pie. The peanut butter pie is amazing.

Ed was wonderful. He did exactly what we wanted and the cake was delicious!! He was able to create the look of fondant without using it. He delivered it himself and the guests raved about it! He was a little difficult to call only because of the timing of his hours. On the flip side, he called me to remind me of upcoming payments which was awesome a week before the wedding when everyone needs money. I highly recommend Ed!

We had a three tiered cake for 130 wedding guests from Ed's country bakery and it was amazing! Two of the layers were pumpkin with cream cheese filling, and one of the layers was chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. All the favors we sampled were great, But those two were our favorites. The night of the wedding I got many compliments about how good the cake was, it tasted good and was moist. I didn't want a cake that just looked good but didn't taste good, but with Ed I got both taste and decorations that I loved (simple but elegant).

I also felt the price was very reasonable based on what I saw out there, and the high quality I felt I received.

Of all my vendors Ed's country bakery is one of the few i would recommend with no reservations.

Ed's cake was one of the best cakes I have ever had. At the tasting he provided all of the flavors we could possibly want. He was extremely accommodating when we didn't know entirely what we wanted and allowed us the time to make our decisions. After the wedding, all anyone could talk about was how delicious the cake was! I'll be going to him again for cakes for all sorts of parties (any excuse to get another of his cakes!)

We found this vendor through our venue and are so happy that we did! We had a cake tasting that went well and decided on the pumpkin cake since we had a fall wedding and both love pumpkins. The cake was amazing and the frosting was great. Everyone at the reception commented on how great the cake tasted since most people do not expect much taste from a wedding cake. The cake was well priced and delivered on time. We used a sheet cake in the back for the staff to serve the guests and this worked very well. Not only was the cake delicious but beautiful. We used a purple ribbon and initial topper that made the cake very elegant once we added fresh flowers on the tiers. The quality and cost of this cake far exceeded other bakery vendors we tried. We purchased cupcakes from Ed's Country Bakery (and had smores from our catering company: Canapes) for dessert at our wedding and the cupcakes were ridiculously good! We decided to have chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting, lemon cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting, and carrot cake with vanilla buttercream frosting.

We heard from several guests that they ate 3 or 4 cupcakes each because they were so good...unfortunately, some guests didn't get any...so we recommend ordering a lot!

Ed was extremely easy to work with. I communicated with him mainly via e-mail and he responded promptly and answered all of my questions. We were married on a very hot day at an outdoor venue and he gave us great advice regarding keeping the cupcakes in good condition in the heat. He also made us samples I requested so we could try them before the wedding and decide on flavors.

The first time my fiancee and I drove out to Ed's shop, we only had a credit card with us and found out that Ed only takes cash or check. He let us take several samples (about 12 cupcakes) with us anyway and trusted that we would send him a check in the mail. We were very grateful as we had driven over an hour to get there and he could have easily told us to come back another time with a correct form of payment.

A couple of friends have had wedding cakes made by Ed's Country Bakery and they were beautiful and delicious. Highly recommended!

My husband and I loved our wedding cake. Since we had a July wedding, we chose a lighter cake--lemon cake with raspberry filling and Italian Butter cream frosting. It was absolutely delicious!! In fact, we ordered a small cake prior to the wedding just to be sure, but we couldn't get enough of it.

We were also thankful for Ed for working around the natural disaster to deliver our cake. Our wedding took place July 1st right after that huge storm that knocked out most of the power in the area. The wedding cake was beautiful and delicious when it arrived.

We also would recommend you stop by Ed's bakery for his homemade donuts and other pastries! Thanks Ed!

Ed's Country Bakery did an amazing job with our wedding cake! Ed was so friendly and helpful in designing a cake better than I could imagine with everything I wanted! We had a three tier cake. One layer was chocolate with chocolate ganache filling, one was strawberry with strawberry filling, and one was vanilla with raspberry filling. Each layer tasted amazing! There are so many flavors and fillings to choose from at this bakery! Our cake was beautiful and I could not have asked for anything better! The price was also very reasonable!

Our wedding cake turned out beautifully as Ed closely listened to what we desired and created that for us! The taste of the cake was and still is talked about as favorite from our wedding!

Eds Country Bakery did a WONDERFUL job on my wedding cake! not only was the cake delicious, but it was beautiful as well. I gave Ed a picture of a cake i liked, provided the ribbon and flowers and he made it BEAUTIFUL! He also did a grooms cake for me. My husband didnt like butter cream frosting so he allowed us to bring in canned frosting to ice the cake!

Ed was a pleasure to work with and the cake was great! We got exactly what we asked for, at a fair price, and lots of compliments on the flavors (lemon and pumpkin).

Ed and his wife were an absolute joy to work with and their cake and pies were delicious! They custom-made our cake according to the flavors and design we wanted, and also baked delicious pies for our rustic, cozy wedding. Our guests enjoyed it all so much, some even took the last piece of pie out on to the dance floor! They were professional, charming, and so nice to work with. We have plans to go back to the bakery once a month and hope to bring our children there in the future! Can't say enough good things about them!

Ed was so wonderful to work with! He responded right away to all of my emails and was more than flexible with my requests. More importantly his cakes/cupcakes are the BEST! Our guests have not stopped raving about how delicious they were - especially his italian icing! I absolutely recommend Ed's Country Bakery! You wont be disappointed!!!

Our wedding cake was fantastic. It looked beautiful and everyone is still raving about the taste of it, asking me where I ordered it from even 3 weeks later! Ed's Country Bakery has fantastic prices and is easy to work with. Our cake turned out to be better then we imagined, and without fondant! We plan to use Ed's Country Bakery in the future and recommend them to all the couples planning their wedding in the MD/DC area!
