I will recommend Jana and Design A Dream Events to literally everybody. As an October 2025 bride with a shorter engagement, I was unsure of how everything would come together, but Jana brought our vision to life and created the most perfect and magical day for us!
She was always extremely kind, encouraging, and professional and bent over backwards to help us secure the best vendors who were always at or below our price point. Jana was always on top of things and made us feel so confident and at peace leading up to our special day. She made sure that every was taken care of and that on the wedding day, we could relax knowing everything was handled and that we were in good hands. Her knowledge and expertise in design took her services to another level, and our wedding was even more beautiful than we could have ever expected. Jana is an event planner who you can trust the most special day of your life to and have absolutely nothing to worry about! Besides the decision my husband and I made to marry each other, choosing Jana was the best decision we made throughout the entire wedding planning process! -

Jana and her team were exceptional!! I didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day, they were so on top of it! I loved getting to know Jana over our planning meetings; she is quick, efficient, and knows how to make your day PERFECT! As a first timer, I wasn't sure what would look best with design and colors and rentals, and she guided us so well. We have been getting so many compliments for weeks on how every detail was absolutely flawless and we owe that to Design a Dream!!! I kept waiting for something to not go right during the wedding, as everyone says at least one thing will, and nothing ever did - we are SO thankful for having the best team ever for making our wedding the best day ever :) -

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jana Ingraham and Design a Dream for our wedding, and we truly couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, Jana was incredibly responsive and organized, making sure we were always aware of upcoming timelines and next steps. She answered every question we had quickly and thoroughly, which helped ease so much of the stress that comes with planning a wedding.
Jana was also very accommodating with virtual calls, given we were out of state, allowing us to talk through all the little details face-to-face, which we greatly appreciated. Her flexibility and calm demeanor, especially when it came to last-minute changes, made all the difference.

From the very first phone call, we knew Jana was going to blow us away. On that first phone call, she did not try to sell us anything. She genuinely cared about our love story and and wanted to be apart of it. Over the next year and a half, she checked in to make sure we were booking vendors when necessary. She set up meetings with rentals and florists. She helped us design how we wanted our tables to look along with reaching out directly to florists. As the day got closer, she directly reached out to all vendors, created an extensive timeline, created layouts (including rain plans) and helped me stay super organized as I was a DIY bride.
On the actual day of the wedding, Jana was a rock star. It makes sense that she comes so highly recommended. From the morning to the evening, Jana made sure things ran smoothly. Any hiccup that came up, she handled with grace and continued to check in with me to make sure my vision was coming to life. I DIYed a lot of decor, and Jana was able to create a layout in which my decor truly came to life. She has a such a great eye for this. From my ceremony, to the cocktail hour, and the reception, everything looked absolutely beautiful. Many guests came up to me to say how much they loved Jana, because she was such a boss lady, but also so respectful about it. The day could not have been possible without her. We love Jana!!!! -

I got married on 10/11/2024 at Wrightsville Manor and Jana & her team made sure we had the absolute best day ever!!!!
I chose to plan most of the wedding and leverage Jana and her team for 2 months out & day of and I cannot recommend Jana enough. I interviewed other planners before booking Jana and from the first day and throughout planning she was genuine, welcoming, thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was planning my wedding out of state and luckily a wedding we were invited to also used Jana so we got to meet her after booking and she is just as dynamic in person as on video and email :)
I felt like I was prepared before our big meeting but Jana really helped fill in any gaps, make recommendations, and work w the vendors. The last month of finalizing everything was seamless and she ensured everything and everyone was on the same page with the schedule and expectations. Her knowledge of other vendors and Wilmington is great - she has a wealth of knowledge and a great eye for design. We definitely felt well prepared for our big day.
I showed up on the wedding morning in complete bliss knowing I had Jana there. I came with a bunch of totes organized by their respective space, and Jana and her team set up and styled everything beautifully. Jana understood the assignment yall. She asked me one question about picture frames and thats it besides can I get you anything? Lol
Our day was so perfect, smooth, and carefree - we didn’t want the night to end and if our vendors weren’t already booked out for next year wed do it all over again.
To the Design a Dream team - you crushed it!! Our day was perfect and owe it to you and your team. Thank you and please book Jana and her team for your big day you will be SO happy you did!!🩷

My husband (still getting used to that) and I live in Arkansas but I wanted a wedding in NC since I grew up in Eastern NC so I knew I needed a great planner to bring our wedding vision to life (especially planning one while we are 17 hours away).
I interviewed 4 different planning companies in the Wilmington area before I hired Jana and the Design a Dream team. She built her business from the ground up and it was obvious how much she loved what she does. My main wedding concern was that I didn't know how to bring my vision to life and I needed help with the design aspect. She is so cute, friendly and has great taste so that also made her an easy choice.
The entire process was fantastic. She was responsive, she was organized, she asked questions I hadn't even considered and the thing I appreciate most is that she was willing to jump on the phone with a DIY flower company I hired. That was a lot of additional work and time for everyone but Jana handled it patiently and professionally. She ended up having to completely construct the florals on the fireplace mantel in our venue and it was STUNNING. I was blown away!
Our guests even spoke with her and commented on how kind and friendly she was (one guest said, "as opposed to a drill sergeant"). We truly can't recommend Jana and her team enough. I know I'm not giving her team credit but they busted their butts behind the scenes because it was a giant project to put together. Thank you all for literally Designing our Dream wedding. -

Best planners EVER!!!!!!
I would 1000000% recommend Design a Dream Events for anyone planning their wedding! They made the entire planning process stress free and were always there to answer my many questions that kept me up at night :) Jana is extremely experienced in what she does, and does it VERY well. She is hard working, dedicated to her brides, and does a beautiful job at making your vision come to life. We couldn’t have dreamed of working with a more talented team on our wedding day! When dreams become reality
Jana and her team were absolutely incredible! The whole planning process was smooth and easy due to constant communication. Every step of the way Jana supported every thought and detail I imagined, right up until the day before when I was still looking to move things around. On the day of our wedding, Jana made us feel calm and comfortable even with a few last minute changes due to the weather. Jana held my umbrella as we dodged the rain and I truly felt like I had known her forever. Seeing her at the other end of the aisle coaching us on the position of where we were standing with the biggest smile on her face and two thumbs up was like having the best cheerleader on our team. They also know the locals vendors and have built great relationships with them to provide you great insight. They provide their own recommendations when asked but also listen to your opinion. Jana and her whole team at Design a Dream Events are seriously incredible. Throughout the planning process, her team was so responsive and always super kind. I genuinely think in this industry, vendor responsiveness can make or break your wedding planning experience. Jana and her team responded to messages so fast, and with so much clarity, that I never felt alone or without direction in the wedding planning process. They also were very mindful of budget, my likes/dislikes, and made thoughtful recommendations without pushing us in one direction or another. They were so supportive on every decision and felt like a friend throughout the wedding planning process.
In addition, their organization is TOP NOTCH from the start through the wedding day. As soon as the contract was signed, we immediately received all of the documents to get me started on the planning process. We had a check-in as the wedding date approached to make sure everything was buttoned up, and Jana is 100% the reason that I was *literally* stress-free two months out from our wedding date. She was so organized throughout the process and made sure we had everything we needed to ensure a successful wedding day, that nearly everything was wrapped up around the 60-day mark.
We had a thorough rehearsal and felt so confident with Jana and her team leading our wedding day. The timelines were built out so thoroughly, to 15-minute increments, and not a detail was missed. On our wedding day, we had a slight curveball with an unexpected thunderstorm that popped up (typical North Carolina coastal weather!), and Jana turned into a superwoman (more than she already is) to make sure our day was still as perfect as she envisioned. She was literally blowing water off of our chairs from the sudden rainstorm with a leaf blower - she thinks of EVERYTHING. The whole night was perfect from start to finish. We were able to be guests at our own wedding, eat a meal together, and genuinely soak up every minute with no stress, all because of Jana and her team.
If you want a team that is going to go above and beyond to make sure your day is absolutely perfect *AND* stunning, and it feels like you're working with a bestie in a judgment-free zone, then just hire Design a Dream and thank me later. :) -

Jana and the team at Design a Dream were one of the very first decisions I made when beginning my wedding planning journey and when I tell you they were the best decision I have ever made I truly mean it! Jana was with me every step of the way for the year and a half it took to plan our wedding! She was always ahead of the game, so organized and had the best suggestions for different vendors in every category! Jana also has amazing style and helped me make design decisions effortlessly which was something I was nervous about when beginning planning. I was already so pleased with Jana + team throughout the planning process I didn't think they could get any better but then wedding day came. Jana + the team worked so hard on the day of to make everything absolutely PERFECT. Even through a little rain and adjusting the ceremony start time Jana + team did not miss a beat. I did not have to lift a finger all day and our ceremony to cocktail hour to reception to send off ran so smoothly. Our families also loved Jana and her team and were so thankful for all of their hard work as it made the day so relaxing and enjoyable for them as well. Jana Ingraham and her Design a Dream Events Team, truly made our wedding day feel like a Fairytale. Both my husband Chris and I were in a long-distance engagement planning our destination wedding in Wilmington, North Carolina. Jana with her team went above and beyond to help make the process seamless. From directing the rehearsal the day before the wedding, to our wedding day itself, Design a Dream was one step ahead of everything and made sure that all ran smoothly. We walked into our wedding venue in absolute awe of the design and arrangements that Jana helped coordinate with Design Perfection. Jana assisted with the stationary aspect, the design, coordinating with our vendors, and ensuring that the timeline flowed flawlessly. One moment that stood out to me was her ability to oversee the entire event, while also ensuring that my dress remained bustled and perfect, and I was having the absolute time of my life. I could not recommend Jana and her team enough!!!! From our first phone call, I knew Jana was going to be amazing. She asked all the right questions to get to know me and my vision, and I could tell she really understood what I was going for. From the start, Jana was completely on top of everything. 10 months out, we were picking flatware, linens, chairs, etc. — all the things I would have forgotten about and pushed til the last minute. She was so helpful in each decision and took care of ordering everything, keeping track of it all. She helped find ways to repurpose flowers from the ceremony to the reception, had wonderful ideas to help give the spaces depth and dimension, she knew what sizes I needed and how much I should put where. From every tiny detail to all the big things, Jana was an enormous help. Planning was rarely stressful, and that was 100% due to Jana. The wedding day was an absolute dream, and everything was completely seamless. If anything at all went wrong, I had no idea because was right there to fix it. She gathered my personal belongings after the event to make sure they got to my hotel, she made sure my husband and I always had everything we needed, every vendor was exactly where they needed to be. I could go on and on! The reality is, no one cares about your wedding quite as much as you do. That said, my biggest piece of wedding planning advice is to find vendors who understand your vision and truly care about helping it come to life. That, without a doubt, IS Jana. She exceeded every expectation and helped make my day everything I dreamed of! -

Design a Dream came highly recommended to us and I can totally see why. Jana and her team have the winning combination of being extremely focused and organized but also so warm and kind. They did their jobs with grit and grace, pulling off both my rehearsal dinner and wedding. Laiken and the Design a Dream team were so wonderful throughout our wedding planning process. Laiken thought of so many details I never would have imagined going into the planning process! She is calm, practical, and so sweet! She helped me implement all of our ideas and everything went seamlessly. When I was worried, she assured me she had it all taken care of. Being a bride is extremely stressful. You feel like there are so many details and vendors and things that you have to do; it's easy to feel overwhelmed. Jana and the Design A Dream team make sure that you really can enjoy your wedding day and the planning process without having to worry! They were responsive, handled everything with care and great detail and made sure that it all ran smoothly.
From the beginning of my wedding planning process, Jana was able to understand my vision and translate into a reality. She is such an expert and has so much knowledge and experience, all of which made everything so easy. I truly felt like I could go to her for anything and knew that I could trust her opinion and advice. As the first person in my family to plan a wedding, having her support was invaluable.
The day of my wedding couldn't have run more smoothly. She had truly thought of everything and it ran like clockwork. My husband and I felt taken care of and supported; both us and our families were able to enjoy our day and have a great time with our guests without having to worry.

Where do I begin? I found Design A Dream Events from the preferred vendors list from our wedding venue, Wrightsville Manor, and while day-of coordination was required, I really wanted some extra help as I was planning the wedding across the country, working full time, and in my Masters program. I was deciding between multiple planners, but ultimately after my call with Jana, I just knew she understood me and my vision and so I chose Design A Dream. Our wedding got assigned to Laiken (which can be scary as I had only spoken to Jana so far), but I can say now that I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!! I booked Design A Dream for partial planning & design, which meant that they also managed all design aspects and accounts (rentals, florals, etc.) This was suuuuper helpful as they are already very knowledgeable of those vendors and have relationships with them to help guide you and bring your vision to life. They handle all correspondence with them, so you don't even have to lift a finger with those accounts. They provide you with multiple helpful, detailed documents (like how much to tip vendors, etc.), a floral questionnaire & call to match you with the best florist, full layouts of all spaces, meetings at the rental companies to build your table setting, and a full walk through of the venue, just to name a few. While I am already very "Type-A" and detail oriented, having a planner like Laiken to guide me and talk through all my options and choices was priceless. And I will say - she kept me sane many times throughout the planning process when a wrench was thrown our way! Fast forward to wedding weekend, and OMG, I could not have survived without Laiken and Design a Dream!! We had a last-minute change to our escort display idea, which she fought to make happen and kept following up with to finalize the days before our wedding. Also, after days of watching the rain forecast, we had to make the last minute decision the day before to book a tent for cocktail hour. Laiken worked her magic with vendors to keep the tent and existing add-ons (fans & chandeliers) for our wedding day and I didn't have to stress at all. On wedding day, Laiken also had to manage a possible rain decision on if we could have our ceremony outdoors. She did an amazing job at keeping me informed, but ultimately, taking the lead and making the best decisions for our wedding day. Everyone from my bridal party, to family, to guests spoke so highly of our Design A Dream coordinators, as they could tell they were working so hard and keeping it all organized. Even my now husband, Stephen, said having Design A Dream and Laiken was the best money we spent on our wedding! I felt so at ease on the day of my wedding and was truly able to let go and trust her (which, if you are the Type-A/perfectionist type, you know how hard that can be), and it turned out to be the best day of our lives and so much more beautiful that I could have ever imagined, so all I can say is THANK YOU SO MUCH! My dream wedding would not have been possible without Laiken and Design a Dream. -

Design a Dream Events is THE real deal when it comes to all things planning and design! I have always had an idea of what I wanted my wedding to look like, but knew I needed help bringing all of my ideas together. Because of this, I chose to elect the "Design Service and Planning" package with Jana and her wonderful team. It was the most perfect service for me and I know I would not have been able to have the wedding of my dreams without Jana and Laiken. They took the time to sort out all of my ideas and blend them into the most beautiful "Boho Chic Timeless Garden Party" wedding I could have ever imagined. From the initial phone call, I knew Jana and Laiken were the team for me! They have excellent communication skills, are prompt with their responses, offer honest advice, are so creative and down to earth. I felt as though Laiken was a girlfriend helping me plan my wedding. She was the absolute best! Jana and Laiken helped me communicate with vendors, taking care of most of the communication themselves, sort out details and narrow down choices. WOW!! All I can say is Jana and her team are true experts in the field! She is the fairy Godmother you NEED when planning your wedding. I got the month of package and she went above and beyond through it all! She was always there to support me, help make decisions, call vendors and calm my nerves whenever I needed it. She truly took my vision and elevated it! I was left speechless when I saw the venue for the first time! I don’t know how she did it but she took what was just a barn and the land, and turned it in to an absolute wedding paradise. Jana and her team were incredible from start to finish. I booked her for "month of coordinating services" more than a year out from my wedding and from day one, she was extremely responsive and paid really close attention to detail. We were planning our wedding during COVID, so during a few scary moments of waiting to see if certain vendors/spaces would be open or closed, she helped me immediately with plan A, B, and C .. and none of them even had to be used. We used her as a month of coordinator and it was perfect for us. She still communicated with us throughout the entire process through e-mail and was very responsive. Even when she got very busy deep into wedding season, we could expect a response within 1-2 days. We met with her a month before the wedding and she really put our stress at ease from that point on.
Now, to the day of the wedding. PERFECT. Everything was seamless. Even if there were issues, we didn't know about them or they were immediately fixed. Her team was incredible and so nice. We had a lot of DIY decorations and things that needed to be set up and her team put everything together even better than we could have imagined. I don't plan on getting married again lol but I would recommend her over and over and over again. She relieved so much stress for us. If you are contemplating whether you need a month of coordinator, seriously worth every penny. Our day was absolutely perfect and I cannot thank Jana and her team enough for truly being the reason it turned out the way it did. You need her.

Jana at Design a Dream really is the best! She was there throughout the whole process to answer any questions I had and make us feel at ease leading up to the wedding. She knows her stuff and is on top of it all. We planned our wedding from halfway across the country and Jana was there to help us with layouts, questions, booking florals, rental spots, seating charts, etc. she goes above and beyond and so does her team. They take your vision and requests and personalize them for you which is exactly what you want for your wedding! The rehearsal the day before the wedding she came to run our wedding party through it all and she knows how to grab a rooms attention! There are not enough words to describe Jana and her incredible team!! Jana is the most thoughtful, creative, responsive and an amazing person to work with. We had to reschedule our wedding from September 2020 to June 20, 2021 and what could have been a very stressful situation turned out to be so seamless with Jana’s help. Where do I even begin?! Like many other brides, I was not sure I *really* needed a planner. I figured I could do most of the work on my own! However, once I began working with Jana and her team I knew hiring them was the best wedding decision I could have made.
Jana and her team of BOSS BABES were there for me and husband through the thick and thin of planning a COVID wedding. From the detail lists, layouts, and phone calls I knew that this team knew what they were doing.
When the day of the wedding arrived, I knew I could give my entire wedding to the team and they would make sure every single detail was perfect. By the end of the night, Jana and her team felt more like bridesmaids than planners. I even had several guests and wedding party members make comments about the flawlessness of the wedding. My bridesmaids could not stop boasting about Jana as well!
One specific moment I remember about Jana is right before I was walking down the aisle. I was nervous, as any bride would be, and she said these words to me that I will never forget: "This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Take it in and enjoy it all." Leading up to our wedding, Jana was very communicative and did a great job of providing options and recommendations to help our vision come to life. Jana made wedding planning sooo easy and truly as stress-free as it possibly could have been. I found myself constantly saying "I have no idea how I would do this without Jana." Once it became clear that COVID would impact our November wedding, I found myself even more relieved to be able to lean on Jana and her expertise. She was incredibly reassuring and confident that we would still be able to have our dream wedding (with a few adjustments, of course), and she was right!
Jana and her team were absolute ROCKSTARS on our wedding day. The day went more smoothly than I ever could have imagined thanks to their hard work. Jana is also great at problem-solving on the fly, which came in handy when we had to completely flip the layout of the reception just days before the wedding and when I needed a creative solution to stay hidden as I took my place to walk down the aisle.
Additionally, they did a great job of checking in on us and our parents throughout the reception. Our parents especially appreciated their attentiveness because it allowed them to relax and enjoy themselves! My bustle came undone on the dance floor at one point, and Jana's team swooped in like secret service agents to help my MOH re-bustle my long train within a matter of 30 seconds. I was back out on the dance floor so quickly that barely anybody noticed it happened!

I don't know where to start! Jana is the BEST. Long story short - I could never imagine my wedding without her and I could not recommend her more highly.
Pre-wedding she was extremely helpful and responsive in assisting with our big day, especially given the fact that she helped us with not one but TWO completely different wedding plans. Originally, we were set to be married in Wilmington and chose all vendors in the Wilmington area. Due to COVID, we decided to pivot to having the wedding in our own backyard in Holly Springs, NC.
Knowing that it would be difficult to plan for the wedding without seeing the space, Jana drove 4+ hours round trip to come out and see our house and give us recommendations. She was able to take our plan B from being stressful and hectic to completely putting our minds at ease by giving us perfect advice on how to best navigate a backyard wedding during a pandemic.
Not only did she drive all the way to us just to check out our space pre-wedding, she also made that same round trip the Friday before our wedding for our rehearsal! Then, making the trip back the next day for the wedding, Jana and her team picked up my floral arrangements from my Wilmington florist, and brought them with her so that we could avoid any extra delivery fees!!
On the wedding day, Jana and her team were absolutely exceptional. With the craziness of wedding planning, I was not near as organized as I wanted to be getting everything ready. She absolutely took over and set up all of our decorations, table settings, ceremony space, etc. about 1000% better than I could have ever imagined it. Her team completely transformed our backyard and made it into the most beautiful event space I had ever seen. We were absolutely thrilled.
Her team took care of every detail flawlessly, I did not have to worry about a single detail, including my EXTREMELY complicated bustle. It was a custom design that literally included 35 steps and a 10-minute instructional video. I was of course semi-panicked over this. I told Jana about it and she said, "Do not worry about it, we've got it from here." Her team memorized the steps on the car ride up to the wedding and were able to completely take care of it.
Jana is truly one-of-a-kind. She is not only amazing at her job, she is also incredibly sweet and fun. I have been to quite a few weddings, and I have never heard so many compliments from guests on how great the wedding coordinator is! She was truly a highlight not just to us, but to all of our guests! We love Jana and the Design a Dream team so much!!! -

My fiancé and I hired Jana and the Design a Dream team for our wedding, which was initially planned for May 9th 2020. Once the spread of COVID-19 began a couple of months before our original date, we quickly realized that our ceremony and reception were most likely not going to happen as originally planned.
When we decided to indefinitely postpone our wedding, Jana immediately got in touch with all of our vendors and took over communication in what was an extremely stressful time. She checked in on us regularly and was a huge support in what was a pretty heartbreaking decision.
Fast forward a couple of months, and we decided we wanted to go ahead and get married in a small, intimate ceremony in our family's backyard. We utilized all of our original vendors, and Jana + team flawlessly executed what ended up being the most perfect wedding we could have asked for!

I put off planning my wedding for three years because the thought of it already stressed me out. Once I locked arms with Jana and her amazing team, a sense of peace came over me. I would have been lost without her during the whole process. I came to her with a list of ideas and inspiration. I wish I could say I was one of those people that had ONE vision from the get go. She took all my ideas and helped me to create that one vision. She offered ideas without ever making me feel like she was pushing me into doing them. Through the many changes I made, she always made it happen. I also always had questions. Between the novel emails and pictures I constantly sent, she always answered me back with patience. She stayed in close contact with my vendors and always kept me in the loop. Jana is organized, professional, and efficient. She was there for my many breakdowns and always remained calm and caring. She was not only there for through the process, but for us a couple. She always has a smile on her face and keeps in upbeat even when you don’t. We were in this together and she truly made me feel that way. She was there through IT ALL! Then there is the month of where the nerves and extra stress kick in. She presented me with a timeline and day of coordination. She even had something for my husband, the bridesmaids, and the groomsmen. Talk about organized! The day of comes and throughout the day her and her team were on top of everything, including checking on me and making sure I was okay. From the time I met her until the day of, Jana was there. And that is what you want when you go through the wedding planning process. Jana and her team are amazing! Jana is responsive, collaborative, creative, and soooo friendly! She knows when a bride has a vision and let's them do their thing BUT she also provides fantastic recommendations and opinions when needed. She is there for you no matter what and no matter how many times you decide to change things! The day of the wedding is flawless (at least I didn't notice any problems)! All of the groomsmen commented on how efficient her and her team are and how much they helped them with folding pocket squares, sewing buttons that fell off, and making sure they were in line. I can honestly say that I was not stressed at all during the big day because I knew Jana would handle things! She's an excellent wedding planner and highly recommended! -

The best of the best!
We used Jana and her team for month of coordination and I literally don't have enough good things to say about them. Even before month of, Jana made herself available to help in the planning process and then took all of the stress off of my shoulders as our wedding date got closer. The day of ran flawlessly and every request or issue was handled in seconds. Because of Jana and her team, my husband and I were able to enjoy every moment of our wedding day knowing that they were running the show. But the best part was that in the end Jana was so much more than a wedding coordinator, and I know we will continue to keep in contact even as friends! -
