Great experience

Booking with Bella Bethesda was an easy process in a soothing venue with really expert-level results. My wife and I don’t usually wear makeup, which meant we were bound to feel a little uncomfortable, but Beca and Kal made us feel relaxed, excited, and also just like glamorous glowing versions of ourselves. I didn’t know what to expect, but I loved my hair and makeup and they lasted all day and night through veil going on and off, intense DC humidity, eating and drinking, and tons of dancing!

Beautiful Bride

Bella Bethesda Salon and it’s talented Bridal Coordination Team provided outstanding beauty services for my daughter’s recent wedding. Their flexibility in coming early to assist with the tight timeline our planner had created for the day-of was so appreciated by all. Marea, Julia, and Beca did an amazing job as they listened carefully and accommodated each and every request. The entire bridal party was very pleased and looked absolutely stunning! I can’t thank them enough for their help in making the day so special! Bella Bethesda has my highest recommendation.

Beautiful Do's for the Bridal Party

Rebecca was the best! I was nervous about getting my hair done for me wedding - I have true salon phobia and generally do not like other people touching my hair. I sucked it up to get a professional to help me on my wedding day, and Rebecca made it easy as pie. She listened to my questions and preferences, looked at photos of my dress, and turned my blah hairstyle into something beautiful - so beautiful that I kept it up after my hair trial to wear on a date with my fiancee. She also worked magic on my bridesmaids, both of whom have curly hair and were also nervous about getting their hair done. Both of them said they had never had a better hairstyling experience before. Rebecca is a true professional. Thank you for helping me look amazing on my wedding day!

I used Bella Bethesda for hair and make-up for my wedding this past weekend. Rebecca did the hair and Amanda did the make-up. They both did a phenomenal job, not just with me, but with the mothers and sisters who also got their hair and make-up done. Everyone looked like a beautiful version of themselves - the hair wasn't too big and the make-up wasn't too heavy. They also both arrived on time and we were ahead of schedule all day, which was great. Ashlyn was also very responsive to all my emails throughout the planning process. I highly recommend Bella Bethesda, Rebecca and Amanda!

Bella Bethesda did a wonderful job for my wedding! Ashlyn was very helpful and prompt in scheduling hair and make-up appointments for myself and my 5 bridesmaids. I came in a month and a half before my wedding for hair and makeup trials. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. Nicole listened to my ideas and styled my hair beautifully and just as I requested (a half up-do with curls and braids). Gloria also did a beautiful job on my makeup (natural and romantic). On the day of my wedding, the salon allowed me to bring in breakfast for my bridesmaids. The salon also graciously provided coffee, tea, and water for everyone. Nicole and Kristian did my bridesmaids' hair and they both did a wonderful job. They kept everyone on schedule, styled hair as requested, and helped bridesmaids who didn't know what style they wanted. Gloria and Nicole did an excellent job on my hair and makeup which lasted well throughout the day and evening. The salon also gave me a little bag with hairspray and lipgloss before I left - very sweet. Their prices were also affordable compared to other options available. Overall, I was very pleased and highly recommend them!

I used Kristian for my updo and Amanda for my makeup and was incredibly happy! I did a full trial and came back on the wedding day with a few requests and they both worked hard and made me feel beautiful. The pricing was also great - I couldn't bear to pay some of the prices I was seeing elsewhere. Overall, a very happy bride!

Tanya did my hair (she even came in early!) and Gloria did my makeup, and they both worked together to make me look and feel beautiful on my wedding day. It was even more special because Tanya has been cutting my hair for seven or eight years so, even without a bridal party, I could spend time with a friend while I was getting ready.

Katie at Bella did my hair and Gloria did my makeup for my wedding day. We did brief consults but not full trials before the wedding day. Everything went great. Katie was a hair wizard. I showed her a picture of penelope cruz with a side chignon and Katie made my hair even more beautiful than the picture. I got compliments all night on my hair. She also provided me with great advice on using fake flowers instead of real ones in my hair. Gloria also was very attentive to the fact that I did not want to be too made up. I think I ended up looking like a more beautiful version of myself rather than a Kardashian.

Bella Salon was terrific. Their bridal consultant, Amanda, is super helpful and responsive -- after our initial conversation, she helped me set up a makeup trial and created a color-coded day-of service schedule for me, four bridesmaids and two mothers. The salon itself is bright and pleasant, with friendly staff who even put up a "good luck" sign for me at the front desk!

For both my trial and wedding day services, I worked with Tania. She took my inspiration photos and created an updo and makeup that was me, but "bridal." I was a little worried about trying false eyelashes, but she was so right -- they were perfect for photos! The rest of my party worked with Gloria (makeup), Kristian (hair) and Rebecca (hair), and everyone looked fantastic.

Amanda was truly fantastic to work with! How she kept everything straight with the giant number of ladies I brought with me. The stylists were very professional, and extremely talented--my bridesmaids and I were so happy with their hair and make up--it was wonderful! Huge thanks to Katie, my hair stylist, who made sure I was completely satisfied with everything--even letting me come back in for a second trial to make doubly sure.

Bella Bethesda did a fantastic job! Stacy and Lindsey have a beautiful salon and their employees love working for them! Tania and Diana did our trial in the salon and they were awesome! I could not articulate very well what I was looking for and their ideas were perfect! They listened to my concerns and what I wanted and came up with the perfect look for the day. My husband said he had never seen me look so beautiful, which is exactly what every Bride wants to hear from her Groom!! The day of the wedding, Tania, Diana and Abby came out to the hotel and did all the girls hair and make up in the suite. I hope they had as much fun as we did! Katie did my hair for my fall wedding. I did one trial with her, then went to her for a trim a couple weeks before the wedding, and then she did an up-do the day of. She did a really nice job. She did a great job listening to what I really wanted and making sure I felt comfortable with our plan. And then the day of I felt really good about how my hair looked. I got compliments throughout the evening.

Bella Bethesda also has someone who just coordinates weddings. I found the staff very helpful and accommodating with other people in the wedding party. They were also very reasonably priced.

I was really happy with my experience with Bella.
Erin coordinates all wedding parties and she does a fantastic job. She put together schedules for the day-of which were helpful in getting all the girls (I had 10 girls at the salon) in and out. We were out a bit later than planned, however we had padded enough time in our schedule that this was not a problem.
When we arrived, Bella had a breakfast set out for us, which was great as many of the girls hadnt had time to eat prior to heading to the salon.
Tania did my hair and it was beautiful We had gone through a couple trials prior to my wedding day and I was able to achieve the look I really wanted. She is a very talented stylist and I feel very lucky I was able to work with her on my wedding day.
Ricardo did my makeup and I feel he did a great job as well. He balanced my desire to look "natural" with still being a bride.
Overall, I was very happy with the way I looked on my wedding day and I attribute a lot of that to Bella. My bridesmaids and other guests that used Bella all looked great as well. I would recommend this salon to other brides.

I generally do not wear make up and don't really do anything all that involved with my hair on a daily basis, but I wanted to do something special for my wedding. I was nervous that I would look overly made up, or that my hair would be too big. But the folks at Bella Bethesda were AMAZING. First, they made me feel so comfortable, which made it easy to communicate to them what I wanted and to get exactly what I wanted. They were very patient and I left the trial run feeling very confident that they would do a great job on the day of. And I was not disappointed. My hair looked amazing and my makeup was classy and understated. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. They also did my maid of honor's hair, and she said that it was the best up-do she had ever had! I highly recommend Bella Bethesda!

The entire salon did a wonderful job and showed great team effort! The entire bridal party (3 bridesmaids), the bride, and the mother of the groom all went to Bella for hair and makeup. Tania was wonderful. I did both a trial and bridal hair and makeup with her. She is truely a perfectionist and gave me the attention I needed! Ricardo did all the bridemaid makeup which turned out FABULOUS. Having an all Asian bridal party, he did a wonderful job on EVERYONE! Katie did all of the bridesmaid updos which also turned out wonderful.

Can't say enough good things about everyone at the salon! Top notch service all the way. Stacy made sure we had champagne in our hands the entire time and made sure we were fed with granola bars and yogurt.

LOVED what Tania did for my wedding! During the trial, she was very enthusiastic and you can tell that she's a perfectionist. She just wants the bride to be the happiest that she can be on her wedding day. The trial was great. I actually had a photo of what I wanted (Greek goddess-like), and she totally did what I wanted her to! I had some straps that came with my dress which I wasn't wearing, and used them in my hair instead. She got them to work very well with the look I wanted! I was ecstatic with the trial and elated with the final product on my wedding day! Definitely go with Bella if you're thinking of doing your hair off-or on-site. She came to me as I wanted to get ready all in one place - it was definitely worth having her come to me for ease of mind. I've also heard (and seen) that Tania does a wonderful job on wedding makeup as well!

Bella Bethesda was great to work with! They were very close to the hotel me and my girls were staying at so that worked out perfectly. They had the most reasonable prices I could find in town. On both my trial and day of, they were so accomodating and made all of us feel so welcome. The day of the set up an area for us to sit at, eat, drink. They even supplied little snacks and juice!

Each of my girls were so happy with their results and they made sure to send us with extra hairspray and lipgloss too! They were even able to work in one of my BM that didnt think she wanted hair done until she got a hair cut earlier that week! Amanda was great and continuously checked on us to make sure we were happy!

Tania did my hair and it was flawless! It held up all day and night, even through the hurricane weather! She showed my girls the best way to remove my veil and everything. Ricardo did my make up as well as my sister in laws and mothers. It was perfect! It also held up all day long. He made me look so flawless and beautiful I wish I could use him daily!!

Only downfall is that the girls needed to be 100% sure what style they wanted 2 weeks before the wedding or else they would be charged the higher amount regardless. This wasnt a problem for us, but it is something to be aware of. Amanda definitely reminded me of this time and time again so that I could prevent any problems with my girls and it was fine!

Highly recommend this salon!!

After my original makeup/hair artist blew me off, I called Bella Bethesda at the recommendation of my cousins. Luckily, they were still open for my wedding day. Tania did my hair and makeup and 2 others did my bridesmaids. All 3 were amazing, but especially Tania. On a very busy day in Washington, DC, (Jon Stewart/Steve Colbert rallies, International Horse Show, and Marine Corps Health Expo), they all showed up on time and I did not have to worry about a thing. They had such great stories for us while they were doing our hair and makeup, which really helped to calm our nerves and they made us feel like royalty. Bella Bethesda and their artists have wonderful customer service and were a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them over and over again.

Tania did my hair and make-up, and Katie did up-dos for three of my bridesmaids in the salon the day of the wedding. I was absolutely pleased with everything.

I had done a trial run with Tania a few weeks before the wedding, and then was able to fine tune what I wanted, and Tania did an excellent job of making that happen. She even added a flower to my hair that I think really finished the look. I have seen several pictures from the ceremony and reception that show the back of the updo and I couldn't be happier with how my hair looks! I was also very happy with my make-up and how it looked in pictures all day.

Katie also did an excellent job! All of my bridesmaids were very happy with their looks, and so was I! She did some very intricate styles for them and they looked great!

I am also grateful for the calming atmosphere that morning. They had breakfast snacks and hot tea for us, which was great since it was such an early morning (7am start). I really enjoyed the couple hours of just sitting and relaxing and not worrying about anything wedding-related while Tania did my hair and make-up! Thanks to everyone at Bella Bethesda!

Bella Bethesda did my hair and makeup, and also hair for all of my bridesmaids, my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandmother and flower girl on September 19, 2009. They did an absolutely BEAUTIFUL job on everyone. I highly recommend Katie for updos...I received so many compliments on my hair on my wedding night, and I am still getting raves now that people have seen the pictures! She really knows how to balance classic and elegant with modern and fun -- no horrible, oversprayed updos here.

Stacy provided wonderful service and even laid out a spread of fruit and snacks and water for us...so important to stay hydrated and well-fed on the Big Day! They also welcomed me with an adorable sign, and it's a nice place to spend several hours, with the big windows and corner view of downtown Bethesda. A fantastic and relatively affordable choice for beauty!

From the hair and make up trial to the services on the day of the wedding, Katie and Ricardo were great listeners and gave my daughter exactly what she wanted--a natural look. There were no efforts to pressure her into a particular look. They arrived promptly at the hotel and recreated the look they had given her at the initial trial. Diana did the bridesmaids' hair beautifully as well, and was as good with curly hair as with straight hair. The atmosphere at the hotel as they provided services to five people was calm and efficient. I recommend them highly.

I had Tania do my hair and she is FANTASTIC!!! She really takes her time to make sure your hair looks perfect! She did an incredible job with my hair, which is very fine and straight. I would definitely recommend doing a hair trial because it helps to know what your hair will look like on the day of.

Ricardo did my make up and he was just AWESOME!! He really made me look gorgeous and my make up lasted throughout the night. He's great at making you look gorgeous without looking like you have on too much make up. I received many compliments about my make up and how great it looked!

I went to their salon to have my hair and make up done and everyone was just so nice and they really made you feel like you were the princess for the day...which you are ;)!

Bella Bethesda provided nothing but the utmost level of service. From providing fruit and other snacks to my wedding party (and, by fruit, I mean GOOD fruit - there were raspberries and strawberries and, as many know, those are usually some of the more pricey fruits. Definitely not grapes....) to being extremely welcoming, Bella Bethesda excelled.

As the bride, I LOVED the hair style and makeup that I had -- it's such a big deal to feel your best on your big day, and I can definitely say that I've never felt more beautiful. I couldn't have asked for anything more on my updo. It was truly amazing, and was exactly what I wanted: classy and elegant.

The only snag I might mention is that I paid for "eyes and lips" for my bridesmaids. One or two were only given "eyes," and I really don't know why. It seemed like there was a little glitch in communication....

This salon has it going. DEFINITELY be sure to check it out.

Tania at Bella Bethesda did an absolutely beautiful job with my hair and make-up for my wedding. She immediately made me feel completely at ease, and she is incredibly talented. We had a morning wedding and Stacy and her staff went out of their way to accommodate our very early schedule, and get us out and to the wedding site right on time. Diana and Katie also helped with the hair and make-up of my bridesmaids and my mom, and they all looked beautiful. I couldn't have been happier with how things turned and out and was very pleased with my decision to go to Bella Bethesda Salon.

The bride (my daughter), mother of the bride (me) and 5 of the wedding party went to Bella Bethesda the morning of the wedding. some of us had hair & make up and some just did hair. Stacy (the owner) was very responsive and set up a very realistic timeline for all of us. She was very pleasant every time we interacted with each other. We got a wedding party discount of 10% since we brought a group of 6 or more.

Tania did a fantastic job on both hair & make up for both the bride (who had a gorgeous, elaborate up-do) and for me! My daughter had a trial a few weeks before, so she was very relaxed on the wedding day & knew that she would look gorgeous!

The other brides maids were very happy with their results too... they had different stylists whose names I can't remember.

Gorgeous Hair and Makeup – Marea and Kal Were Amazing!

I couldn’t have asked for a better hair and makeup team than Bella Bethesda’s Marea and Kal. They made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself, and that was perfectly captured in our wedding photos.

Marea was especially thoughtful and sweet. She gifted me her Kenra hairspray, which held sentimental value because it was the same brand my late mother, who was also a hairdresser, used. I also appreciated Marea’s professionalism when my initial hair and makeup trial didn’t hold up in DC’s heat. She offered a free hair retrial, and we decided to try an updo instead, which turned out to be perfect on our wedding day. I’m so glad we tested it ahead of time!

Kal was also fantastic. She really listened to my feedback after the makeup trial and made adjustments to ensure my makeup would last through sweat and tears—and it did! From our first look photos to the end of the night, my makeup stayed flawless, and I couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out in our photos.

Both Marea and Kal were onsite with us in the venue's bridal suite, which was important to me, and Bella Bethesda’s bridal services and fees were among the most reasonable I was able to find in the DMV. Also, it was my first time wearing hair and eyelash extensions, and I’m so glad I did—they made me feel even more beautiful. My bridal party looked amazing too, and we all felt glamorous and confident.

I highly recommend Bella Bethesda and especially Marea and Kal to anyone looking for a talented, caring, and detail-oriented hair and makeup team!

I had 4 stylists from Bella come to my hotel to get me, my bms, and mothers ready for my wedding, and it was great! Erin, who booked all my services, was completely flexible with my girls ever changing minds, and she even put togethera color coded schedule for the day of! I do have HIGHLY recommend Katie for your hair. She was simply amazing and I kept getting compliments all night long. Even when I was not happy with my makeup, another one of the stylists immediately stepped up and fixed it until I was happy. They are a little pricey-er than some of my BMs were expecting, but everyone looked gorgeous and was so happy with how it all came out!

She worked everything out with the stylists so we could all go at the same time and be ready in plenty of time for the ceremony. She responded quickly to answer all my questions, was very clear about their payment policy, and was flexible in changing the schedule when I needed it. She introduced herself to me the day of the wedding and gave me a free gift bag with lip gloss, hairspray, bobby pins, etc. Also, I received a $50 gift card for future services at Bella.

My bridal party and I were treated very well. It was a really nice atmosphere. They even had a sign on my stylist’s mirror the day of the wedding celebrating the fact that it was my wedding day, which made me feel very special.

Gloria was my makeup artist and she was fantastic. I told her I rarely wear makeup and wanted to make sure I looked natural. She definitely followed my wishes! My features were enhanced and she made me look beautiful, but I still looked like myself, which was very important to me.

Rebecca was my hairstylist, and I have to say that I was a little nervous and disappointed after the trial, but was very pleased on the actual day of the wedding. The only downside was that by the time I reached the reception, the curls at the front of my hair had lost their curl, and were just hanging straight. I wish it had lasted at least through most of the reception.

Though not cheap, their services were better priced than most of the places I had looked. I didn't want my bridal party to have to spend a ton of money, and Bella was extremely reasonably priced for them. My bridesmaids and mother were very happy. Be aware that you have to pay 2 weeks ahead of time, so your bridal party must know what kind of general style (updo, curls, or blowdry) they want ahead of time. It wasn't a problem for us.

I worked with Kristian for hair and Amanda for makeup on my wedding day. They both did a wonderful job. They arrived early, set up and were fun to spend our day with. Between myself, my bridal party, and my mother, we had a wide variety of hair types and skin tones to work with. They did an absolutely spectacular job with everyone. I've never felt prettier and I would definitely recommend both of their services to any bride.

I had some trouble with coordination of my trial and with scheduling, but I think that may have been just a matter of my timing. Their services are a bit pricey, but the end result was well worth it.

I decided to go with Bella for my make up. I liked the location and had read good reviews. I spoke with Amanda who set everything up for me. I had my trial with Diana, she suggested the individual lashes which I hadn't thought about and I loved the way they looked. I had the trial the day of my shower and bachelorette party, the make up and lashes held up well throughout the day and night. I was very pleased! Amanda was great with setting everything up for my sister and I.

Then I got a call that they lost one of their make up artists, and would need to use Diana for another bride the day of my wedding, so I was asked that instead of having both of us to have our make up done by Diana, if it would be alright to have Diana do my make up and my sister would have Carolina. I assumed they are all professionals and I was fine with that. Then I got a call the week of my wedding, while family was here staying with us from out of town, that Diana was no longer with them and that I would have Carolina to do my make up and Tanya would do my sister's make up. Amanda set up another trial for me the week of my wedding, which was crazy with family being here but I thought that would make me feel more comfortable. It turns out Carolina was not as comfortable with doing the individual lashes and I was not happy with the outcome of the trial. I spoke with Amanda and she said Tanya would do my make up since she knows the individual lashes better and Carolina would do my sister's make up. She also took care of the cost which was nice but I really wanted my make up to look right on the day of the wedding. Tanya did a good job with the lashes in terms of being gentle, my eyes didn't hurt, however they looked like they were all different lengths. I think Diana did it the best. It was a lot to deal with the week of the wedding. I was pleased with the professionalism of Carolina, Tanya and Amanda and the responsiveness of Amanda. The make up turned out alright the day of which is why I still gave the amount of stars I did, however it was a lot to go through. I'm not sure why they lost the two different make up artists within the time I was working with them and again Amanda was VERY accommodating which was great. However, my suggestion would be if a make up artist does a trial for somebody, whether they are with the company or not, they should have to uphold their services.

We had Tania and Katie come out to Frederick to do our hair and make up. Tania is AMAZING--I would highly recommend her, especially if you have curly hair, but she is great with any type. She is very meticulous and my hair was gorgeous and she does an incredible job with makeup--especially the eyes! Katie does a great job as well. However, I would recommend going to their salon if possible as opposed to having them come to your hotel. Tania was an hour and a half late showing up which made the wedding day crazy and very stressful. But overall, Tania really is incredible!!! I highly recommend her.

Katie and Danielle came to the hotel Monaco to do my hair and makeup for myself and my wedding party. Danielle is great, very professional and her makeup was very natural looking. She made me look amazing! She is very talented and knowledable about how to do makeup.

Katie was great as well. She really worked with me to make sure that I was happy with my hairstyle.

This is a very very difficult review to write. The hair and makeup stylists who did me and bridesmaids on the day of the wedding did an amazing job. I was so happy with it. Katie and her team were so great and they really did a fantastic job. My hair and makeup held up all day and all night and I was so happy with what they did. They are amazing and so great to work with!

However, scheduling the appointments and arranging payments prior to the wedding was a nightmare. The person I initially worked with told me after I had already confirmed that we wanted to book with them for the morning of the wedding, that they had double booked after the fact and that they would need to do my makeup at 8 am (for a 3:00 wedding?) and my hair a couple hours after that. She eventually worked it out and rearranged appointments so that we could still have the appointments at a reasonable time and in the right order. Not once or on any info sheet was there a mention of a deposit to hold the date and time so I do not know what we could have done better there. The invoices never got to me or my bridesmaids and had to be re-sent, which was confusing. Setting up the trial appointment was difficult because the only times they had available were during work days. When I finally took off work for the trial appointment, they called an hour before to cancel. They were very flexible with rescheduling, but it was just another headache. Two days before the wedding, someone they had training at the front desk called to confirm my services at the salon (we had booked them for on-site) at the wrong time and for the wrong services. It was a "simple" mistake and they actually had everything right, but I just didn't need the frustration two days before the wedding.

I will say again that the stylists are AMAZING and I was so happy with how everything turned out in the end. Hopefully, they can get whatever administrative issues they've been having worked out because Katie and the team are phenomenal.

The hair trial was a lot of fun and the hair and make-up people were really responsive to my ideas and selections. The day of my wedding, the salon made me really feel like a bride; however, the work was horrible. My hair was coming undone before the ceremony was even over. About an hour into my reception, I took out the remaining bobby pins and just put my hair back myself.
