Without a doubt Laura and her team are the dream team! From the very first time we met Laura (via FaceTime) we immediately vibed with her and ended that call feeling relieved that we found someone that who understood our direction. Every step of the way we were confident that everything was coming together. Laura has such attention to detail and the confidence she exudes makes the experience of working with her so relaxed, something all brides want to feel. On our wedding day up until the time of the ceremony it rained but it never once stopped Laura and her team from still creating the most magical day of our life. (It was an all outdoor wedding btw)
Ashton Events made our wedding dreams come true! Tipi tents and all! We love you guys and miss you! Thankful we found you :)

Hands down, Laura with Ashton Events is the best wedding planner ever! Not only did I have the honor of working with Laura on my wedding, but my bridal shower too! Both turned out AH-mazing! AE made this process easy and enjoyable from start to finish! There was NEVER a time that I had to worry... literally! Laura and her team were organized, attentive, creative, patient, thorough, respectful, dedicated, and available. During the day of each event I was able to relax and celebrate with guests! Ashton Events is passionate about each event and has far exceeded our expectations! Thank you for bringing our vision to life and for creating such a beautiful memory!

What weddings are made of!

When Joey and I got engaged we honestly didn’t believe we would need a wedding planner. We started our first couple months engaged getting our feet wet; looking at different vendors, and gathering information about all inclusive venues. I personally LOVE to plan events and throw parties, my mom as well, so we didn’t think a wedding planner would be necessary. However, everywhere Joey and I would go and every person we talked to couldn’t offer us exactly what we needed or wanted. I heard about Laura Helm and her team at Ashton Events and decided to see what she could offer. I. Was. Blown. Away. Immediately Laura got to know me and my now husband and I and started piecing our special day together.
To be totally transparent, Laura went above and beyond for my family, Joey, and I. My sister, maid of honor, was on a heart transplant list. With our wedding being out of town for both our families, it was pivotal that we could find someone who was willing to work with us if something were to happen to my sister. Laura and her team where the only ones who could help (not even wedding insurance, yes that is a real thing, would cover our families medical need during this season of wedding planning). At that moment, I knew Laura was more than a wedding planner, she cared and became like family to us.
From phone call check-in’s, to vendor meetings, everything was so smooth working with Laura. Laura executed our vision perfectly! Both Joey and I are detail oriented individuals and we were able to trust Laura and her team completely with our dream day. There wasn’t one thing on the day of our wedding that I would change. All of Ashton Events are professional, trendy, and innovative! Laura brought to the table ideas you can’t find on Pinterest. She is an artisan and creator!
Laura and her team helped Joey and I rest easy throughout our engagement and not sweat the small stuff. Laura wouldn’t allow us to stress and offered to take things off our plate and remind us what the big picture was. We had the time of our lives. Joey and I are 8 months married and wish every day we could do our wedding all over again because it was that much fun!! All of our friends and family still talk about how fun our wedding was. We couldn’t have done it without the amazing Laura Helm and her team.

Laura and her team at Ashton Events are a dream come true. From day 1, theywere decidated to giving us the wedding of our dreams.

For background, my wife and I live in DC, but we got married in FL. We are both extremely busy and didn't have much time to travel to visit all the various vendors. We were quite worried about trying to plan a wedding from afar. But Laura was extremely patient as she worked with us and our hectic schedules. She started by working to understand us. Our likes and dislikes. What we liked to do together. Things that were meaningful for our relationship. By the end, Laura seemed to know more about our tastes and preferences than we did! She could anticipate what we would like and dislike, and would only recommend vendors or decor that she knew fit us.

When the inevitable emergency came up (trust me, something WILL come up--for us, it was that our venue cancelled a month before the wedding), Laura worked hard to find us a venue that was even better than the first! We decided to use my wife's parents' back yard. Laura transformed their yard into the perfect place for a wedding reception. She took full advantage of the outdoor space by setting up a cigar lounge area, a tent under the stars, and a beautiful sitting area where guests could talk and relax. It was so perfect that most of our friends thought we had planned to use that venue from day 1. They never would have guessed that it all came together in a couple of weeks.

Allow me to ask speak to the value Laura provided. In addition to saving us hundreds of hours and helping our wedding be as stress free as possible, Laura was able to find us the absolute best deals on everything. Because of her contacts with the various vendors, they all gave us discounts (some even provided their services for half the initial price). In a time where all things wedding related are extremely pricey, Laura's services almost paid for itself.

Do yourself a favor. Hire Ashton events.

Laura and her team are absolutely perfect. Extremely organized and professional. I was so overwhelmed with where to begin with my wedding. Laura was able to grasp my taste and creatively design a beautiful romantic theme. When the wedding day came, everything was flawless. I am so thankful for her, Anna Marie, Sarahi and everyone involved. They helped make my wedding the best day of my life.

Ashton Events, and Laura Helm are consummate professionals with a very personal touch. She listens, advises, and puts an event together that is without flaw. Her hard work and dedication to her clients seems to know no bound. She was always available, put in long hours, and even though at first, I wondered exactly what a wedding planner did for their fee, I am not thoroughly convinced she charges too little. She was engaging and put in hours of dealing with multiple people's ideas and desires.
Our daughters wedding was particularly complex, since both the Bride and Groom live out of state in different cities, and she had to deal with the parents (me!). She planned every detail from the rehearsal to the closing of the reception. She prepared the floral arrangements, coordinated the best vendors (believe me she knows best on this!), gathered a staff of ladies who arranged for the elderly to have transportation, made guests feel important and aware. She always looked out for the budget, and had a mind full of caring for the Bride and Groom. I give her the highest of praise.

Deciding to have a wedding planner and choosing Laura Helm as that planner was the smartest decision my husband and I made for our wedding. We had a dream of hosting a personal southern wedding in my husband's parents' backyard but needed a professional to make that dream a reality. She did an amazing job! Laura encompasses all the qualities you would want in a planner. She is extremely professional and an expert in the details of a wedding and making sure things are done correctly. She is calm and flexible and does not get worked up when problems arise. Lastly, she is personal and truly felt like a friend by the end of the experience. If you are considering hiring a planner, don't hesitate to hire Laura!

When you start actually planning a wedding choosing all the right details and actually pinning down what you want for your special day can be pretty overwhelming, at least for someone like me. When I first met with Laura I immediately felt at ease. She was so easy to talk to and I felt like she was asking all the right questions even about the things that I didn't even think of. She was so kind and made me feel so special. I knew that having her by my side and helping me with this day she was going to get me everything I wanted and I wouldn't have a care in the world that day other than walking down the aisle. Her main focus the entire planning process was to make sure that we had all of the details done so that when even by the rehearsal dinner, we were able to completely enjoy every moment of our special weekend. If I were to redo my entire wedding she would be the first person I call. I knew that no matter what I asked she wouldn't look at me like a crazy person. She had the most helpful team and I just couldn't have done it without her!

After seeing our wedding and looking back on the pictures we can not say thank you enough ! Through out the process I wondered a few times If I should have went with a hispanic wedding planner . It was so important for myself and my family to include that " Spanish feel" while also including my husband's american culture . Laura you are hands down a mind reader ! I know between Mike and I we didnt always make it clear what we wanted . We through out bits and pieces of ideas and things we wanted and you nailed it !
Everything looked great and turned out to be much more than what we were expecting. You tied in both of our cultures and for that I thank you . The most important thing that I want people to know is that your not just a "event coordinator" You did a little bit of everything from making signs , menus , invitations getting us last minute items before the wedding and just being that someone to turn to when things got stressful.
I cant say I remember everything from the wedding as it went by so fast but , I will say that everytime I needed you before I could even say your name poof you were there ! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts ! Mike and Venessa

Laura at Ashton Events was simply amazing to work with! Early in the planning process, I was struggling to identify my wedding day style. I had often dreamed of what my wedding day would feel like, but not the specific details of what it would look like. Laura had the unique ability to take the feeling I wished to portray and turn to into reality. She was there to help guide me with decisions both big and small- from my wedding dress and bouquet, to the color of the dinner napkins- always keeping in mind the way I wanted the day to feel.

Laura also took the time to get to know both my husband and I on a personal level. She helped us select vendors that were not only excellent, but were also the perfect fit for us. For the event design she hand crafted custom decor that was both unique and breathtakingly beautiful. Each aspect of our wedding day was a true reflection of who we are as a couple, and the joy we wished to share with our family and friends.

I would recommend Laura at Ashton Events to any brides hoping for a beautiful wedding day that brings their personal love story to life.

There are so many plans and ideas swirling around in your head as soon asyou set your mind to wedding planning. My version of the big day included incredible food sourced locally and sustainably, seeing our friends and family dance until the very last song, and lots of space where every loved one could find a cozy area they felt comfortable in. Ashton Events delivered on all of these dreams! Ashton Events found a chef who appreciates local farmers and cooking from scratch as much as we do. Our food really was outrageously good; don’t believe the rumors that good wedding food is impossible! I can’t remember the dance floor being empty even once all night...the band found by Ashton Events kept the atmosphere seriously dance-friendly at all times. The venue was perfect with wide open space which AE turned into the most welcoming environment with a bonfire included! All of these goals accomplished, plus a million and one little details that were so clearly matched to our personalities. Such a lovely day with lots of heartfelt memories, what else can you ask for? To this day, our wedding will come up in conversations with friends and family and we hear, “yea, yours is STILL the best wedding I’ve ever been to.” We would have to agree and it is mostly thanks to Ashton Events!

Summing things up, Ashton Events was WONDERFUL to work with. Laura's professionalism and organizational skills allowed me to feel confident throughout the months planning that even the details would happen and would happen well. :) Along with this professionalism and organization, Laura's creative eye carried the planning along. She really sought to uncover new, out-of-the-box ideas, and always had pictures/sketches to help me envision what "this" could look like. (Um, and a HUGE thank you for introducing me to pinterest!)

Laura at Ashton Events was a saving grace! I honestly am speechless when it comes to describing how amazing she was throughout the entire process! She is so creative, patient, helpful, professional, etc etc!! She was at every appointment with me and helped me with every decision which was so wonderful! She made our save the dates, designed our monogram, designed our monogram for our coozies, she made all of our print work and even made the most amazing print work for our out of town guests!! Laura was such a blessing and I honestly did not feel any stress because I knew her team would take care of everything and they did!! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, stress free and so beautiful!

Ashton Events provided an exceptional service for my son's wedding. My daughter in law had a very specific vision of a shabby chic, yet sophisticated small intimate wedding, with a very vintage feel. She consulted with Laura, from Ashton Events, and found her to be personable, professional and exceptionally responsive to her requests. Laura went above and beyond to provide services from furniture hire, to creative designs, to travelling to South Florida for an onsite consultation, to linen selection, etc ,etc..............and she ultimately made the wedding reception a vivid reality of what my dauhter in lalw had envisioned! Just perfect! Thank you Laura, and to your assistant, Alisha, for your amazing service and facilitating a memorable and wonderful wedding !

Ashton Events provided and executed the services offered as well as exceeded all my expectations. I needed to plan and host a wedding shower four states away and needed eyes and all hands on deck to pull this off. I could not have achieved nor implemented the unique feel and heartfelt details without her assistance. Laura is truly a professional and listened to my goals and help put me in contact with the necessary parties to accomplish. The shower was beautiful, the details and services that were offerred were perfect, and could not have asked for anything more. I'd highly recommend Ashton Events for your special day!

The thing I loved most about the day:
That I didn't have to think about any details but could enjoy the day itself (even though it was a blur!).

What I would tell someone needing a coordinator:
Honestly I would most definitely refer them to you! I would say it's the best investment I made for my wedding because I didn't have as much planning time and you kept me focused and on schedule. I think it's an investment that most brides would highly benefit from. Having a coordinator leaves room for you as the bride to live semi-normally during the planning process:)

My vision for my wedding day was:
I wanted it to be an intimate celebration with friends and family. I wanted to be able to enjoy the day with them and not be stressed with duties/details. I wanted it to memorable, fun, beautiful, and bring honor to God.

My overall experience with Ashton Events was:
Awesome! I say to everyone who asks that hiring a wedding coordinator was my best wedding $ investment. Laura/Ashton Events made me feel comfortable, safe with my money and time, and she proved trustworthy in getting everything done she committed herself to.

Laura has an incredible talent at keeping a professional relationship with her clients as well as a very personable relationship. Considering Laura to be "on top of things" or having an eye for creativity would both be an understatement! She is always prompt and equally excited with the bride in her endeavors. Where do I start? Laura was beyond a blessing to me! From the moment we had our first meeting, I knew she was the planner that would transform our crazy ideas into a stunning sophisticated event. Our wedding started with a guest list of 500. Everyone was coming from out of town and we wanted the event to resemble an old Florida plantation. Did I forget to mention all the guest had to be bused from the hotels to the ceremony/reception venue? Laura did this and more! She was able to intertwine the masculine details (such as pheasant feathers and antlers) in with the delicate florals and make the wedding guest feel like they stepped into an elegant event. She recommended/coordinated the perfect vendors to execute the details flawlessly from the caterer all the way to videographer and everything in between. There was even a beignet truck for a late night snack as a treat to the guests.
No matter what idea I had Laura was able to personalize and execute it in a professional, courtesy, and simplistic manner. We are very grateful for her expertise and everything she did! She made our dream come true!

Laura was an absolute lifesaver when it came to planning my wedding! I was able to tell her at the very beginning what I wanted my wedding to be like, and even when I had a hard time being decisive, I could always trust her advice. She helped us set a budget, and recommended wonderful vendors that fit within it appropriately. She always did a great job of communicating between my mom and I. Laura made sure the wedding was my day, and everything I could have imagined. On the actual day, her coordination made the day seem effortless. Everything ran smoothly, or at least appeared that way to me, which is a huge plus! Her organization and attention to detail made my wedding absolutely perfect. She really cared about making sure our wedding was very personable and representative of my husband and I. The best decision we made for the wedding was deciding to work with her!
