About Us

We have a new building within The Peoria Zoo called The Zambezi River Lodge,  that can accomodate 200 guests seated indoors. Just outside of this building is a courtyard with a covered rondavel that is ideal for outdoor weddings.

The Lodge, the courtyard or the entire zoo are available for your events. We supply the tables and chairs, and work directly with each bride or event planner to insure a successful event.

We selected the Peoria Zoo after our first choice fell through. After the first visit, we knew it was perfect. From the moment we booked the venue, Preston was there to help us in every way. He answered every one of our questions and made the whole planning of our wedding much easier and less stressful. He made our experience perfect. All of our guests loved the venue and even months later we are still getting compliments on what an amazing experience our guests had. We are extremely happy with the Peoria Zoo and highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique and beautiful wedding.
