Kari was a huge help on the day of our wedding. From making sure people got paid to making sure the caterers got set up and helping calm last minute jitters, she took care of all the thousands of little things that cropped up on the big day so my wife and I could just focus on what was really important. Even if you do not want an overall wedding planner per say, she is still worth the money to make sure the day itself (and the week or so leading up to it) run as smoothly as possible so you can relax and enjoy yourself.

Kari was amazing! I was very happy with everything I had done with the wedding, but knew I would be a wreck the day of...cue Kari! She made it a breeze (or a Brees!). I knew that every little DIY detail I had planned, or moment I wanted would be in place and ready to go because of Kari's professionalism and can do attitude. On top of it all, she is a gal I want to sit down and have a cup of coffee with and just chat. She is a jewel and everyone should let her shine!

We are so lucky to have had Kari with us for the weekend! She worked tirelessly up on a ladder hanging banners, she organized our vans and made sure everyone was at the wedding, she collected and organized our gifts, and she had a great attitude! I'm sure Kari did tons of other stuff that I didn't even know about, because she just has a knack for figuring out what needs to be done, and then accomplishing it. My whole family was very impressed. Kari won over all of our vendors by contacting and introducing herself beforehand, too. Overall perfect job!!

Hiring Kari of The Handmade Event was the best decision we made, wedding-wise (ok, second best, after choosing to marry each other). She understood the vibe we were going for, and she had the best ideas for how to keep that vibe going. She made a beautiful schedule for the day of, and we didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day.

My only complaint is that Kari isn't around to schedule and manage the rest of my life. : )

Kari was a dream. I wanted a low-key wedding, but I also wanted a wedding where I wouldn't have to be placing calls to van drivers as I was about to walk down the aisle. Kari was cheerful, professional, completely on top of things, made it all go incredibly smoothly and was great to have around.
She wasn't one of those you-need-to-supply-party-favors-for-all-your-guests-and-hire-a-hair-guru wedding planners; she was down to earth, reasonable, and responsive to what I wanted. She was in close touch with all the vendors on the wedding day, made sure everyone was on time and everything was in place, and made the day a hassle-free delight. I am forcing all my friends to hire her when they get married!

We were doing a lot of DIY for our modest, 50 person wedding. I (the bride) was determined to get a day of coordinator so that I could relax while someone else handled any chaos. My (now) husband was not convinced. He humored me, and Kari was hired. We didn't hear anything from her until a few weeks before the wedding, which was totally nerve-wrecking. By the time our first meeting rolled around my groom-to-be was FLIPPING OUT from the task at hand. So many details, so much to do, so little time! Kari allayed all of his fears. He left that meeting knowing that we would be taken care of - and we were. I couldn't recommend Kari highly enough. She did the #1 job: keeping me and my husband in blissful ignorance so we could enjoy our day. She did anything and everything we asked including cleaning my wedding ring, driving us around, gathering our decor after our event, etc. She was wonderful, and did it all while being calm and lighthearted. Docking her one star on flexibility because it was an out of area wedding and she didn't have a car (she ended up using ours).
