Hi there!

We're Julie + Dutch. Together, we photograph wonderfully interesting couples much in love. And yup, we're married ourselves. Julie founded Sweetwater Portraits on her love of art, beautiful imagery, and nice people. We find ourselves very fortunate to be doing what we love.

Sweetwater Portraits is located in Philadelphia, but Julie & Dutch will travel worldwide to photograph weddings.

Wonderful to work with!

We cannot thank Sweetwater enough for giving us Hieu and Cheryl for our wedding day! They were absolutely fantastic. They were so go with the flow, so positive, and so flexible! We are so appreciative of their patience and understanding (the Groom tore his achilles a month before the wedding!) and all of our many family members that they had to wrangle. I really can’t say enough good things about the experience we had with Sweetwater, including all of our planning phone calls and emails with Hieu!

All I can say is… WOW! Julie and Dutch are THE BEST!

They made the planning process absolutely seamless and simple. They made us feel so incredibly comfortable on the day of our wedding. And they delivered the most incredible pictures just over 2 weeks after our wedding date.

We received SO many compliments from both friends and family about how amazing Julie / Dutch are and how much fun people had with them on our wedding day! And as we have shared our pictures, we have received even more compliments about how gorgeous their work is!

I cannot say enough great things about Sweetwater Portraits! LOVE them and hope for annother opportunity to work with them again soon!

Fantastic and fun

Julie was wonderful to work with! She capture our welcome party perfectly. We wanted photos that would be fun & cozy, and capture friends and family we hadn't see in a while. Her photos showcased emotion and charisma, and Dutch edited them perfectly. I loved the style and can't wait to share them with our friends.
