About

I am a specialty, custom wedding studio who services wedding in the Central Coast area of California. I have been trained at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, The Floral Design Institute, and I currently teach Floral Design at the high school level. My work has been published in Florists Review, a national publication.

The beauty of a small wedding studio like Rustic Roots is that I am able to provide completely custom weddings and events for my clients. Through emails, pictures, and meetings I am able to capture the personality of the couple and translate that into one of a kind floral designs.

Florals. Make. Your. Wedding. Go. Hard.

If you do one thing for your wedding, HIRE JALISCA. I have admired her work for YEARS and knew when our day came she would be our florist. Jalisca poured so much of herself into our florals, from the table decor to the literal tornado she wrapped around one of the posts at our venue every single piece was superb. My bouquet was out of this world, I cannot get over how much I loved it, and my dogs flower collar was *chefs kiss* perfection. Each and every stem was beautifully and intentionally placed. Our florals were the focal point of our wedding decor, I am not joking when I say even the men at our wedding were impressed with the florals. Jalisca is extremely talented, professional, and amazing to be around. Her close proximity to and EXTENSIVE knowledge of the sequoia National park makes her perfect for everything from large weddings to the tiniest elopements. You will not regret letting Jalisca’s creativity shine on your wedding day!

Gorgeous florals!!!

Jalisca from Rustic Roots Floral Design truly made my wedding dreams come true. From day one she was incredibly kind. I came to her during a time of COVID heartbreak, not only did she meet me with compassion, she encouraged me and ensured me she could assist in making our day beautiful. Her kindness meant so much to me during these crazy times. Florals are a HUGE part of your wedding day. Jalisca really takes the time to listen to your vision and then creates a proposal with examples of what she’d provide. It really helps to visualize how your day can come to life. But I was absolutely blown away on the day of our wedding. The florals were beyond gorgeous!!! She installed many pieces for us and each and every one of them was thoughtfully created. I’ll never forget walking into the reception space and saying “I never want to leave!!!!”...THAT’S how gorgeous her work is. I can’t thank her enough for the time and detail she spent on our wedding day. I highly recommend Rustic Roots Floral Design. It was one of the best decisions I made.

Made all my flower dreams come true!

I do not even know where to start! Rustic Roots floral design was my first vendor chosen for my wedding this winter, and by far the best choice we made. Everything was stunning and the team was so kind and flexible to the major changes made due to an unexpected downpour. I am so lucky to have had such a beautiful person to take care of this important part of my day-Jalisca is truly the best in the business and an incredible person to work with on your wedding. She took my ideas and turned them into a night to remember, my guests were so impressed with the look and feel that she created!
