What do your packages include?
Albums, Digital Files, High Resolution Images, Prints, Proof CD of All Images, Thank You Cards

In the past, a photographer had to choose either color or B&W film for a particular shot. With today?s digital imaging technology, every shot is initially captured in color and is capable of being converted to black and white later during post processing. Most of our clients love at least some of their images in black and white, and we love the timeless, classic emotions they evoke.

Is your media preference film or digital?
To ensure the highest quality digital files, I use a Digital RAW format. This format contains more natural image information which means brighter color, sharper contrast, and an overall better photograph.

How many photographers do you work with?

Yes, I bring four cameras to every wedding. I use Canon's top of the line pro lenses. These lenses are built with stronger and better optics, and are able to produce crisper, better quality photographs.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
Both, depends on the package

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
I pride myself on having a hard work ethic. When I combine this with an understanding of the latest digital editing tools means you'll see your pictures very fast. I complete most weddings within 1-3 weeks. This means you can even look at your pictures on your honeymoon!

Tips and Advice

What to look for when selecting a photographer

To minimize any foreseen problems, I have listed the Top 10 criteria you should use to narrow down your photographer.

1. Have they been in business more than five years?
85% of all new photographers go out-of-business within 3 years. You need an experienced professional who will be able to overcome any unforeseen problem and still deliver the final product. You don’t want an amateur or a non-wedding photographer using you as their guinea pig.

2. Do they specialize in the photography style you like?
Different photographers have different styles. Be sure to hire the one that specializes in the style that appeals to you.

3. Are they upfront and totally honest about every aspect of their pricing and policies including their contract details?
“Those with nothing to hide, hide nothing." If they are not upfront about sharing their pricing, contract details and policies with you they may have other surprises for you later too.

4. Do they have ample equipment?
They should have at least two late model cameras, various professional grade lenses, ample memory cards, flashes and batteries.

5. Are they properly licensed and insured?
An insured photographer protects you, your suppliers and your guests. If the photographer creates damages to property you have rented you could be held liable for those damages. If a guest trips over the photographer’s equipment the photographer’s liability insurance will protect you from a lawsuit.

6. Are they good standing members of professional organizations (i.e. PPA, NAPP, WPPI, etc.)?
Professional organizations help both the photographer and the customer by providing continual training, education and have certain ethics requirements for eligibility and often provide backup equipment, services and personnel in case of emergency.

7. Are they established property owners (not renters)?
Renters are more mobile and typically the ones who skip town. Some dishonest people make it a habit of moving every few years to get away from the problems they have created.

8. Do they have verifiable references from previous clients and other vendors?
References will tell you the complete story. Be sure to ask how the photographer behaved on their wedding day and if they lived up to their expectations or were there areas they fell short on. Find out what they wish they would have done differently. Your local wedding vendors attend more weddings than you will ever have time for and can give you the ’inside scoop’ on what they hear and see out there.

9. Does the photographer only sell archival guaranteed products and are they flexible, easy to work with, personality compatible and will get you what you want.
Archival products will last for generations -- anything less is a waste of good money. There is nothing worse than an obnoxious, bossy and demanding vendor who in the end you wish you had never invited to your event.

10. Do they accept Master Card and Visa?
Master Card and Visa will be the first credit card companies to drop a merchant if there is any unresolved problems. These companies will insure that their customers are treated properly.
