About
As a professional musician, I am frequently called upon to provide music services in the more traditional settings such as restaurants, nightclubs, or weddings. But I also recognize the great value live music can bring to other venues, public or private, small or large, formal or informal, cozy or dynamic.

Most folks will concentrate on supplying superb cuisine as the main staple of a social gathering. After all, there is no greater joy than to watch guests devour the food and sing their praises to the chef. And what better way to accompany such fare than with equally inspired music. For centuries, man paired food with music to create a feast for all the senses. Music enhances the overall experience, automatically and instantly respond to the changing dynamics of the listeners. A good musician or DJ can innovate music on demand, changing mood, tone, tempo and style in an instant, creating a fluid work of art that uniquely represents the energy of that exact moment in time.

We can provide a group configuration or DJ to accommodate events of virtually any size and flavor? Please look at our partial song list below. We can create a group to cover many styles of music, from dance music, like Reggeaton, Swing, Salsa, Funk, R&B, Pop, Cover to listening music like Classical or Latin Jazz. From small, intimate gatherings where an acoustic soloist or duo might be all that is needed, all the way up to large weddings, corporate functions, parties, or other special events where a full band or orchestra will keep things swinging. No matter what the venue, we strive to make the event memorable with music that is exceptional and a pricing structure that builds in flexibility for our clients.

A little bit about Arturo. Never one to stand still for very long, LP endorsed percussionist Arturo Rodriguez is both a popular face and a powerful force on the Pacific Northwest music scene. One night you might catch him tearing up a flamenco-funk set with Fender-endorsed guitar aficionado Omar Torrez, and the next performing his own brand of soulful Latin jazz compositions with his qunitet at the Axis. While moving through the musical boundaries of jazz, funk, pop, rock, flamenco, Latin and even folk music, Rodriguez has an amazing talent for bring things together. An accomplished performer, author, and educator, Rodriguez has performed worldwide, sharing the stage with such music legends as Tito Puente, Dave Valentin, Paul Horn, and Pete Escovedo. He is the author of the Ethnic Percussion Series of self-study courses published by Mel Bay Publications. He is an annual presenter at the World Rhythm Festival in Seattle, and offers classes each semester through the ASUW Experimental College. His groups from traditional to contemporary music are available to do school, festival perfomances and tradtional Bembe's.

DEMO CD's / DVD's / Packages as well as a wide variety of music samples can be emailed upon request.
