About

Who is Margaret Lemke?

I began my love affair with photography in High School actually. I received great comments from my art teacher who had a very unique way of teaching photography. 10 "don’ts" to each "do". After getting married myself I realized what I didn’t get from my photographer and decided to see what I could offer a bride and groom that others didn’t. A woman’s touch and vision. At that time there weren’t alot of female wedding photographers. I did my own thing for about four years and then semi-retired to raise my children.

About 5 years ago I reentered the photography field by storm. I obtained a position as a photojournalist with a local paper and was quickly asked to be the first full time photojournalist on staff for Examiner Publications. The editor said I was a natural with an eye for this type of work.

Around the same time, I interviewed and began working for Studio 3 Productions out of St. Charles Illinois as a sub-contracted wedding photographer. In my first year with Studio 3 I covered approximately 25 weddings.

In July of 2006 I entered my first print competition at the Chicagoland Professional Photographer’s Association. Imagine my excitement when I won the Best of Show that evening. A few months later that image won the Best Event Print of the Year. It can be viewed on the home page of my website.

I currently live and work in Roswell, Georgia and am happily pursuing my dream job...it goes way back to the day of my own wedding. Creating images to make the day you plan for live on in your hearts forever!

I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.
