Plan a Rehearsal

Just like your wedding day, your wedding tan needs a rehearsal, especially if you’ve never had a spray tan before. A rehearsal will make sure you get the right color for your skin, give you practice for letting the tan develop without accidentally brushing any DHA off, and of course make sure you aren’t allergic to any of the ingredients! Doing a rehearsal will also allow you to schedule your makeup and hair planning sessions so you can get the complete look you want. Prepare Properly

Follow all of the suggested preparations as directed by your spray tan technician. This is definitely not the time to get lazy or be shy and insist on wearing makeup for your appointment! You want to make sure you have exfoliated, shaved the day before to allow your pores to close, and are wearing no lotions, makeup, deodorant or anything else on your skin. This is also a good time to make sure you are wearing the appropriate tanning garments so your tan lines match up with your wedding gown! Schedule in Advance

Of course you want to make sure your tanning session is scheduled so there are no problems! Scheduling your session 3-4 days before your wedding date will give you enough time to reschedule if an emergency happens. We also encourage our brides to take this time to really relax! Spray tans typically need 8 hours to fully develop, during this time you will want to avoid getting wet or sweaty, and wear loose clothing. This makes it the perfect time to just sit, enjoy a glass of wine, and read a book to take your mind off wedding preparations! If you are in a hurry, we provide an Express Tan that will allow you to shower in as little as 2 hours.
