About
Melissa Morgan is a trained esthetician and makeup artist.  After spending 15 years in executive and business manangement, Melissa's passion for skin care and makeup led her to New York City for formal training in the art and business of beauty.

In 2008, Melissa returned to Manhattan to receive her certification in Paramedical Camouflage Makeup Artistry.  This specialized field is an intense study of color theory and morphology of the face and body to correct and conceal pigmentatio disorders and dimensional flaws.

Melissa's artistic experience includes working with Merle Norman Studios, Estee Lauder Companies and Yves Saint Laurent Beaute.

Do you charge for trials?
Yes.
 
Do you travel to the client on the day of the event? If yes, is there a fee?
MMmakeup will travel to your location. There is a travel fee for car travel outside of one hour of our location (zip 08619). For destination weddings, please call to discuss.
 
How many customers can you serve at one time if the bride were to book her entire bridal party? Are there discounts for doing so?
A team of makeup artists will be assembled for parties of eight or more.
 
How far in advance should clients book your services?
It is always wise to book your makeup artist at least three to six months in advance of your wedding date to assure availability for your chosen date.
 
What is your cancellation policy?
A signed contract and non-refundable deposit is due at booking. Deposit is applied to services rendered on your wedding day. Cancellations require 30 days notice.

Tips and Advice
~ Allow yourself a small budget for trial makeup applications and plan to meet with approximately three makeup artists.  You may click with the first artist you meet or you may not.

~ Be prepared to convey the makeup style you would like to wear on your special day.  Write down key words ("elegant", "sexy", "simple", etc.) to give your MUA an understanding of your wedding day style.  Also bring photos of makeup you admire to your trial appointment.  Having everyone on the same page makes for a flawless application.

~ Choose a makeup artist in whose presence you feel comfortable and relaxed.  Remember, emotions can run high on your wedding day and your makeup artist will be right in your face - quite literally!

~ Schedule waxing services 5 to 7 days prior to your wedding day.  Waxed skin is "slick skin".  Makeup adheres to and appears differently on freshly waxed skin. 

~ Your wedding day photos will last a lifetime!  A professional makeup application will be noticed not only on your wedding day, but for years to come.
