Kristen Thorne is EXACTLY the type of person every bride needs standing next to her on their wedding day. Besides her fair prices, flexible schedule, and besides the fact that EVERYTHING from our engagement photos, to my boudoir shoot, to our wedding day pictures have all come out flawlessly beautiful works of art, on top off all that she is a calm, cool, and collected person. Just the type you need on the day when emotions are running highest. Kristen has this peaceful good hearted energy to her. She took control of what could have been a terrible situation at my wedding. Hugged me, talked me through it and got my head back into the moment. I am so grateful to have had her there on that day. She has shot 3 of my friends weddings so far (4 including mine now). At this rate she'll end up being the photog for all of us! Can't wait for our first baby, so i can call her for pregnancy photos. Do yourself a favor and call her now!

Kristen was really great to work with, she's warm and funny and really knows what she's doing. She made us feel comfortable even as we were on an emotional rollercoaster, and got a ton of amazing pictures despite NJ August heat and humidity (trust me, we were beyond sweaty and you can't even tell). She was also super helpful with planning our timeline - her expertise on the whole wedding day process guided us through how long we'd need for everything. I know from being a bridesmaid before that posed pictures sometimes start to feel like a chore (especially with the kind of weather we had) but we had fun with her, and we are completely obsessed with the results. Every time we look through our pictures, it brings back the joy of our wedding, and makes my hubby cry. :-D

Kristen was extremely easy to work with and my wedding photos came out beautifully! To start, she was responsive and friendly over the phone; I felt like I had known her for years. When we met in person prior to the event, she was flexible in the meeting place and time and was punctual. On the day of the wedding reception, Kristen was early to the venue and all set up, ready and waiting for us. She captured so many beautiful shots and really did an amazing job chronicling such an important day that seemed to fly by. A little more than a month after the wedding, I received the full gallery with close to 700 photos. Some of the portraits were a bit over exposed in my opinion (it was an extremely bright but overcast day in a field, which led to some very bright shots!) but Kristen quickly corrected them to my liking and now they are perfect (It's really all subjective, but what I'm trying to say is that Kristen was adaptive and willing to correct according to my preference)! Overall, I would definitely recommend Kristen's services to anyone in search of a down-to-earth, friendly wedding photographer who does an amazing job at an affordable price.

Kristen was absolutely amazing! She captured every moment that was important to us. The pictures are so beautiful and colorful. She made everyone feel so comfortable and we had a great time hanging out with them. She is so responsive, caring, and understanding. She is just so talented, I could not say enough good things about our experience. She got all of our pictures to us before she even said they would be done. Love her!

We are thrilled we chose Kristen Thorne to photograph our wedding. She was in touch with us well before the wedding to discuss details and get an idea of our tastes and priorities, and on the big day she was outstanding. Kristen was beyond flexible: she shot the event (~100 guests) solo, and was seemingly everywhere at once. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Kristen and I would recommend her to any future bride without hesitation. Wedding photography was my top priority out of all our wedding vendors and after doing A TON of research, I thankfully came across Kristen. From the minute we had our first meeting, I knew she was the perfect fit. Her amazing warm personality won us over and made it very easy to talk to and work with her. We had such a blast during our engagement shoot and it was such a great way to get an idea of what the big day would be like. Kristen has the staggering ability to make you feel completely calm and comfortable, which was super helpful to us considering we had never done a photo shoot before. She gave us great direction and told us things to do in the least intrusive way possible. Everything seemed to come naturally after a while because she was so awesome! She is truly an amazing artist and has an eye for capturing the most beautiful moments and scenery possible. Our wedding day was of course very hectic, but I was as relaxed as I could be, because I had Kristen by my side. We also had the wonderful pleasure of working with her husband Sammy as our 2nd photographer. He is just as talented and sweet as she is and they make a killer photography team. Everyone told us that our wedding day would fly by and we were so surprised at just how fast it did. There were a lot of things that we didn't get to see or experience at the wedding but we are so glad that we can relive every one of those special or missed moments through our pictures because Kristen and Sammy got them all!. We are eternally grateful to them for giving us the greatest gift of capturing the best day of our lives. They are the absolute best and we look forward to working with them again in the future!

My husband and I loved working with Kristen Thorne for our wedding photos in September! She made the experience personal; meeting us for dinner a few times before the wedding day in order to get to know us as well as to understand what we wanted out of our photos. She went out of her way to make our day...perfect. Not to mention, she has a creative eye and adds some edge to your wedding photos. They do not all look the same with posed family and /or wedding party portraits. Not only did we get great wedding photos that were above and beyond our expectations, but we gained a friendship as well!
