At the JW Marriott Resort and Spa we offer key components which will make your Wedding, whether an intimate occasion or grand celebration, a memorable occasion for you and your guests.  The Resort is nestled in the heart of Summerlin featuring fifty four acres of lush grounds with intimate garden setting and waterscapes to accent your special day.  The Aquae Sulis Salon and Spa offers a variety of options to prepare and rejuvenate.  Allow our Marriott Certified staff to help plan your Wedding Ceremony and Reception in one of seven outdoor Ceremony sites and eight unique reception venues accommodating from twenty five to over five hundred guests.  In addition, we offer four packages to host your Wedding Celebration.

Intimate CelebrationsFor the couple seeking the perfect backdrop for the Wedding Ceremony for two to two hundred we offer our Intimate Celebrations Packages which focus on the Wedding Ceremony and a more modest reception.  These packages offer the same attention to detail and beautiful venues including a variety of talented professionals to accent your Wedding.  All of the packages include the officiant, photography, floral, and the coordination by our staff.

Signature Weddings.  Choose from six packages featuring plated, buffet, and reception style menus.  The Signature Wedding Packages are designed to provide a more complete approach inclusive of the Wedding Coordination by a Marriott Certified Coordinator, Ceremony site, Cocktail reception with passed hors d' oeuvres, custom designed Wedding Cake, choice of linens, champagne toast, and Bridal Suite.  Your Wedding Coordinator can also assist with a variety of enhancements and vendor options to make the day perfectly yours.

Custom Weddings.  We understand that a package does not fit every couple so we created an a la carte approach to allow you to custom build your Wedding including styles of chairs, type of menu, number of hours, beverage selections, and vendor services.  You will still enjoy the signature service and attention to detail with the ability to custom create your Wedding day!

In addition, we have seven unique venues to accommodate your event in style. When it comes to Weddings we think outside of the box, offering the ambience and character for every style of Wedding, complete with outdoor patios or terraces.
 
How does your venue determine the cost of the space?
Our complete Wedding Packages are inclusive of both the Ceremony and Reception and based on a per person fee. The Resort also offers packages for just the Wedding Ceremony which are a flat fee and inclusive of some of the vendor components and a la carte packages.
 
Do you offer any special services?
The Wedding Packages are inclusive of an on site Wedding Coordinator to assist in planning your very special day. Our goal is to make the planning process as simple as possible. The couple is also welcome to hire an outside Wedding Coordinator to assist in the planning process.
 
Do you offer any special packages for rehearsal dinners?
A variety of options are available for your Rehearsal Dinner or Newlywed Brunch. Dine in one of the many restaurants or one of our beautiful private venues.
 
Do you offer additional items for the ceremony?
The Ceremony site is inclusive of the chairs, audio system, and carpet runner. Additional floral and decor components may be arranged through the Resort or your personal florist.
 
Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware?
All of the basic set-up for your event is included with chairs, selection of linen colors, dance floor, votive candles. We can also assist with a variety of upgrade options to offer more convenience for the planning process.
 
What is your staff-to-guest ratio?
At the JW Marriott we take pride in offering outstanding service. Depending on the style of service we typically have a ratio of one server per fifteen guests.
 
Do you require clients to use a specific list of vendors?
We strongly suggest our recommended vendors as they are familiar with the property and provide outstanding service for our couples. Our vendors represent a variety of styles and price points but all have a focus on providing you the best possible experience for your special occasion. Outside vendors are permitted with prior approval and with proper business and liability documentation.
 
Can the client provide their own alcohol if desired?
All food and beverage is provided through the Resort. Custom menus are also available as well as options to meet special dietary restrictions.
 
What restrictions (if any) on decorations?
Couples are welcome to arrange decor with their florist or Event Design company, or with their on site coordinator. The only considerations are with reference to draping, hanging, candles, and pyrotechnics. For more information please consult your Wedding Coordinator.
 
What restrictions (if any) on photography?
The Resort offers a variety of breathtaking backdrops complete with waterscapes and garden settings. Your licensed photographer has the opportunity for photographs throughout the Resort coordinated with our Event Staff.

Outdoor music is limited to 10:00 PM due to proximity to guest rooms. Most of the indoor locations do not have any noise restrictions.
 
Does your venue often accommodate more than one event at a time?
At the JW Marriott, we offer a a selection of seven outdoor Ceremony sites and eight reception venues throughout the Resort. Each venue offers an intimacy set aside from other venues to maintain the dignity of your special day.

Additional Questions and Answers
When do I need to start planning my Wedding and reserve the venue?  As Las Vegas is one of the top Wedding locations in the world, the planning timeline is slightly different than many other destinations.  Most of our couples begin planning six months to a year from their Wedding date.  Early reservations are encouraged for peak Wedding Season which is April through June and September through early November.

What time of day should I host my Ceremony?  There are two considerations in planning your Ceremony time.  The first is the time of year and sunset.  Most photographers will suggest to host your Wedding Ceremony at least one hour to one hour and a half prior to sunset in order to capture the beauty of our outdoor settings.  In our warmer months this also allows for a cooler time for the Ceremony.  The second consideration is how late you would like your event hosted until.  For instance, if you want your reception hosted until 11:00 PM your Ceremony will begin at 5:30 PM (based on a five hour reception).

What type of menu should I select?  In planning your style of menu there are many considerations as this will set the tone for the evening.   A plated meal offers your guest the elegance and formal setting with tableside service.  You will want to allot a designated time period with approximately twenty minutes per course before you begin the "celebration" portion of your event.  Buffet style menu offers a variety of selections for your guests in a less formal environment.  Time to allot for service is approximately one hour.  The least formal and very popular option is a stations style menu.  This allows for a variety of options for your guests and a great deal of flexibility for planning your sequence of events.



Tips and Advice
Planning for your Wedding can be very much like buying a house.  There are so many options, floorplans, and upgrades available, and it is important to consider a variety of points prior to making your final selection! 

1.  The first step is finding qualified Wedding professionals with experience to help bring your dreams to fruition.   An on site Coordinator with experience will help plan your Wedding so your special day is as stress free as possible.

2.  Second, ask exactly what is included in a Wedding package.  The greatest value is rarely the lowest price!  Some venues may have site fees, cake cutting fees, or other charges not immediately presented or included in your package price.  In planning this very special day you want to assure that all the basics are included such as the cake, champagne toast for all of your guests, on site coordination, and the Ceremony.  Once you have the basics in place, you have plenty of time to consider upgrade options with linens, chairs, and other components to accent your day!

3.  Vendors are also one of the most important components in planning your Wedding.  When planning the many support components of your Wedding you want to make sure your vendors have Wedding experience and are familiar with the property you choose.  Each vendor has a very vital role in the process so you want to make sure they offer the services to make your day memorable.  Your DJ not only keeps your guests motivated by great music, but is also the Emcee for the evening.  This is a vital role in making sure they are aware of your schedule and work well with your photographer, videographer, and coordinator to make sure everyone is in sync.  There is no opportunity to recapture the essence of the evening so you will want to make sure your Photographer and Videographer are scheduled for the correct period of time and are aware of the most important parts of the evening.  Your florists can offer suggestions based on season and venue from simple and elegant to contemporary and exotic! 

4.  Most of all, remember that your time is also valuable.  Your Wedding day should be spent with family and friends preparing for your Ceremony and Reception. Hiring professionals to handle all of the details for your Wedding day will allow you and your family to be stress free and enjoy the occasion that day and for years to come!
