Julia's photos are breathtaking. My friends can't stop talking about them. My parents can't stop talking about them. My husband can't stop talking about them. She somehow both beautifully captures candid moments and always gets you looking perfect. I don't know how it's possible, but Julia makes it so. Ultimately, so much emotion is exchanged at a wedding in just seconds -- a tender gaze, a fleeting glance, a hug between grandmother and grandson, a stolen kiss. Julia captures those seconds so perfectly that if you hire her (which you should), you'll be able to live those seconds (and really feel them) over and over again.

I cannot speak more highly of working with Julia Franzosa Photography. She went above and beyond capturing the raw emotion, moments, and love of our wedding day. From the beginning when we met her for the first time and she showed us some of her favorite photos and my mom instantly cried from the raw emotion of the photos, to after the wedding when Julia timed sending our wedding photos around my board examination date, you seriously cannot find a more talented and kind individual. Even more so, she was so generous in offering to help me with wedding day timelines, photo lists, and everything else in planning. She became like a friend by the time the wedding rolled around and that made having her take our pictures so much more fun and feel so much more natural. The only thing that I would have changed is that I wish we had gotten more portraits of just the me and the groom from our shoot. Lastly, I cannot tell you how many wedding vendors, family and friends from all over the world have stopped to ask about our wedding photos because they were that incredible. You cannot find a more talented and kind wedding photographer in Chicago!

Julia did an outstanding job on our wedding photos and we could not be happier! Julia came highly recommended to us by our wedding planner, Megan Estrada of North Shore Weddings & Events, and when my mom & I first met with Julia we both knew right away that we wanted to work with her. Not only were we extremely impressed by her work when she showed us some of her sample wedding albums (all of them absolutely gorgeous!), but we were equally as impressed by Julia as a person-she is very friendly, smart and the ultimate professional.
My husband (then fiance) and I had a great time working with Julia during our engagement photo session--and I knew right away from the way that Julia immediately makes you feel comfortable and at ease when taking a series of pictures that she was the perfect photographer for us. Julia captured some great images of us during the engagement photo session that we used for our website, and we received many compliments from family & friends on the pictures.
On our actual wedding day--hard to believe that it is almost a month ago now (12.13.14)--we had a great time working with Julia. She and her team captured some fantastic images of us while we were getting ready, during our first look, at the ceremony and then at the reception. One of my favorite aspects of Julia's work is how beautiful and natural her photographs are--she truly captures genuine human emotion in all of her pictures. I absolutely love her work and feel beyond lucky to have had her as our wedding photographer. I would HIGHLY recommend Julia to anyone who is looking for an outstanding wedding photographer who is not only incredibly talented, but really fun to work with too.

I'm so glad that I met Julia during my wedding planning! Her photos are absolutely beautiful. We worked with Julia to shoot our engagement photos (in 3 separate sessions) and then our day-of, getting ready, pre-ceremony wedding shoot.
