Jim was an absolute dream to work with. He is a dear friend of a dear friend, and the work he did for my friend's wedding, which I was in as a bridesmaid a year and a half before our wedding, was enough to convince us that he was the right photographer for us. He met with us once before the wedding, and was super available via email throughout the planning process. The photos he took are nothing short of fabulous, and we know we'll treasure them for the rest of our lives.

We loved working with Jim for our destination wedding in South Lake Tahoe. His energy, professionalism, and passion for photography is absolutely infectious. I wish I could give more stars!!! I've been familiar with Jim's beautiful work for some time...living in Walnut Creek he is a bit of a local celebrity. I was expecting him to be "good". I wasn't prepared for the lifetime of precious memories he has so thoughtfully delivered.
He was the photographer at our wedding. In addition to the gorgeous shots, he got of us and our entire clan of family and friends... he captured special moments in time, candid feelings of joy and created the magic that we now get to live with...and relive for the rest of our lives.

Jim is friendly and disarming. His gentle personality puts everyone at ease, to make your experinece very enjoyable. I have several "NO PHOTO" peeps in my family, and even they were relaxed and enjoyed the day because Jim makes everyone comfortable and happy - which lends itself to even better pics.

We hired Jim as our photographer for both our engagement photos and our wedding! Although we have not received back our wedding photos yet, he showed us a few sneak peek's during our wedding shoot and there's no doubt he did an amazing job!!! He made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera and he's pretty funny too! Jim made sure all family members were captured and stayed for just about our entire wedding so I know there will be some amazing photos. Jim has a great personality and fit right in with our guests and I'm pretty sure he had a good time too. Our engagement photos turned out awesome too!! Jim was an amazing photographer for our October 4, 2008 wedding. We knew when we met him the first time that he would be extremely wonderful to work with. He's so nice and kind of reminds you of the guy nextdoor. First, he shot our engagement photos. Before this, my husband and I had about 6 good pictures of us in 5 years. After that, we had 40 more! And they were ALL amazing! Not a single bad one! The wedding pictures were even better! He took about 2,000 pictures and gave us the best 486. We just went in to try and choose our favorite 100 for the photo album. It took a whole week, 2-3 hours a night to try and narrow it down! They were all amazing! The best part about Jim too is that other than the family and sunset portraits, I don't even remember him being there. He caught so many great moments and I had no idea he was even doing it at the time. He really was amazing. When he talks about being unobtrusive, he really means it. He also gets shots you wouldn't believe! I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer. He also makes you feel very comfortable even when he's taking the posed shots. He sort of makes you forget that you're having your picture taken. Then he catches you in that just perfect moment. I can't say enough good things about him. =)
