We are not your typical makeup artist.  Mainly what we do is makeup and hair for TV, Film and Print.  The Hues by Heather team has experience with many national compaigns, PEOPLE magazine, commercial photo shoots, television, commercials, videos, and special events. We are the lead makeup artist for Great Day Houston, on Channel 11 and the offical makeup artist for US America Pagents.

Do you charge for trials?
I offer package deals for the brides. If you would like to do a consulation or trial you might want to consider a 2 or 3 time package. I would say 50% of my brides do consultations. The other 50% will do a consultation the same day as a bridal portrait. Some will just look at our work and be comfortable not doing a consulation.
 
Do you travel to the client on the day of the event? If yes, is there a fee?
Everything we do is on location. So even if we are doing a consultation we come to you. We are based in Houston and Austin. There might be some travel fee's if you are outside a radius in Houston or Austin. We can travel outside those areas but there would be a travel fee added on.
 
How many customers can you serve at one time if the bride were to book her entire bridal party? Are there discounts for doing so?
We can handle LARGE wedding parties. I have a team of artist that can work together to get your wedding party taken care of. If there are 5 or more another artist will be assigned to help with the wedding party.
 
How far in advance should clients book your services?
Wedding clients need to book as soon as you can. If you are not sure about the wedding party it might be a good idea to book the bride so you are sure to get a time slot with us. Then as soon as you know we can add the bridesmaids, moms and flowergirls as long as time is still available.
 
What is your cancellation policy?
We require a 30 day writen notice. The deposit is non-refundalble.

Additional Questions and Answers

What is airbrush makeup?  Airbrush makeup last up to 18 hours and is non-transferable.  It covers anything from a freckle to a tattoo without looking like you have a lot of makeup.

How do I book with Hues by Heather?  To secure your wedding day you need to return a signed contract with a deposit.  The deposit is 50% of the total price.  The balance will not be due till 14 days prior to your wedding.
