Shop for your gown early, most brides do not realize the time it takes to get gowns delivered, how long fittings take, and when bridal portraits need to be taken.  Facchianos recommends shopping for your wedding gown 9-12 months before your wedding to ensure a calm, non stressful experience. Make an appointment so there will be a consultant and room available for your arrival. Try to bring a parent and one very good friend whose opinion you trust, we find when brides bring too many people it causes too many different opinions which makes it hard to decide on the perfect gown.  Bring pictures of styles you like to show your consultant.  Realize that sizing is based on your measurements, and the number on the dress usually runs bigger than your normal size, you also will need some type of alterations to ensure a well fitted gown.
