About
Winter Special available for Weddings in January through March!  DJ Frank Young Entertainment is the perfect wedding service provider for brides who want someone that will ensure that your wedding day is a worry free experience.  While many esteemed colleagues have come up with catchy names for their profession (such as "Music Caterers" or "Wedding Boutique"), DJ Frank Young Entertaiment is just that, a high end wedding professional.   The level of personal touch and attention to detail is what has earned Frank the accolade of "The Knot Best of Weddings" in 2008, 2009 and again 2010 (just notified) as well as the 2009 WeddingWire Bride's Choice Award.  Unlike may vehicles of recognition you find on the internet, these awards come directly through past brides and grooms, not editors or colleagues who can profit from networking.  DJ Frank Young Entertainment is a high end wedding service that gives you great value as you don't have to pay a premium price to get premium service.

For your wedding day, the music and the dancing should all be a "given" and you will hear what you want to hear and not hear what you don't want to hear.  Frank Young will provide great music, impeccable Emcee services and superior event management.  That is where DJ Frank Young sets himself apart from the rest of the community.  While the others talk about how great they can be, Frank allows his clients to do the talking for him.    Please have a look at the reviews on Wedding Wire so you can see exactly how past brides and grooms rate the service they received.  Since 1989, Frank has specialized at weddings with elegance, class and integrity.  And the best part is that the wedding events are still fun!

I worked with DJ Frank Young for the first time in a recent wedding where I was the day-of coordinator. Frank was professional, experienced and was an exceptional MC and DJ for the reception. We were able to communicate effectively to stay on schedule despite some minor changes to the timeline. This particular bride was a musician and Frank was able to expertly combine a number of different styles of music and kept the guests up and dancing. I would highly recommend hiring DJ Frank Young and it would be a pleasure working with him again in the future.
I've had the pleasure of working with Frank Young recently, as he was the DJ of a relatively large event I shot in 2007. What most impressed me about Frank was his sincere effort to connect with his clients and provide a music selection that illustrated their personal taste. His appearance was very professional and the sound level of his music was appropriate for a variety of instances (ie., dinner music was set so guests could enjoy their meals and the conversation of others around them, and the dance music was set at in inspiring sound level to encourage crowd participation.) I was also impressed with his personal contact with the other wedding vendors. He kept me up to date regarding the flow of events and was even kind enough to burn a cd for me of the incredible music he played! He is a professional that I find very easy to refer to clients. His equipment was in perfect working condition and his voice was pleasing to the ear. Frank is a class act.
The first time I worked with Frank there was absolutely no question that I would be sending him client's. I've had the absolute joy of working with him several times since and can truly say - Frank knows his stuff !! He's the consummate professional. He is completely focused on his client and the guests, as well as all of the other vendors, and that makes for a seamless event. He knows how to read the crowd and plays music accordingly. Frank - our client's love you, you make every job a pleasure and we're looking forward to working with you again. Minda Metz at the Knife and Fork Caterers
Working with Frank is always an easy affair. From a photographers viewpoint, Frank does the utmost to co-ordinate with me, the catering staff and the Bride & Groom to make sure everything runs extremely smoothly. If I was to ever tie the knot again, Frank would be my first call. Don't get a big head my friend, but the kudos are well deserved, look forward to our next event together.-Michael Kulik-Owner-Kulik Photographic
I've had the pleasure of working with Frank over the last few years and through him began to understand what it was like to work with a class DJ act. There is a very good reason why so many sites, vendors and past clients refer bride's to Frank - he's outstanding in his field. He reads the crowd, senses the emotional energy and responds - and, as far as music goes he's done everything from salsa, to techno, to classic rock and soul. When a client makes a request, he follows through. From a catering and vendor standpoint, he's the quintessential team player. Thanks Frank - you make every event a pleasure !
DJ Frank Young Entertainment is outstanding to work with. His music got everyone dancing, something as photographers we love to see!!! He communicates with excellence and, as a result, we didn't miss a single shot as he always informed us before any important event happened. We highly recommend DJ Frank Young!! He is a blast!!!

Tips and Advice
1) Talk to your DJ personally before signing a contract.  Regardless of who you hire, they play a critical role in your wedding reception and you are entitled to have a comfort level with that person before you make any decisions

2) As the DJ or Entertainment Agency for a solid price quote before you commit your time and energy to meeting or interviewing their DJ’s.  Cheapest is never best in this industry, but you should be entitled to honest, objective up front pricing and not have to worry about haggling.  You are not buying a used car

3) Don’t be pressured by pricing that has expiration dates.  A sale is not a sale unless it is a sale.  Any reputable company will give you a price for their services and allow you to perform your due diligence without pressuring you

4) If utilizing a friend to do your event, please make sure that they are a trained professional who knows his/her way around a wedding.  Many brides or grooms spend $25,000.00 on a wedding reception and then hire a friend for the music, or worse, try to manage an ipod.  The stress and uncertainty that you will face is not worth it.

5) Many Ipod brides think of going that route because they don’t have the confidence that the DJ will play the music that they want.  I allow my clients to have as much or as little control over the music as they wish.  While many DJ’s can also make such a claim, I invite you to ask my past brides and grooms and they will tell you everything you need to know

6) Check references.  And check the dates of the references.  Many DJ’s will provide nice testimonials and references.  If those testimonials are not recent, beware.  If the DJ doesn’t perform weddings that often, you may find someone that is not on top of their game.

7) Ask your DJ how they blend the music for your event.  Have you ever been to a party and the dance floor is packed, the the DJ throws on a song with a totally different tempo which kills the dance floor?   Does your DJ understand how to set up music sequences that make sense?

8) When you interview your DJ, do they sound like they have your best interest at heart?

9) When trying to decide on who to hire, you have to trust your instincts.  I wan’t my brides and grooms to want me to be part of their wedding day because they have that comfort level.  That should be what leads you to your choice.  There is a huge price range for a DJ.   You can find DJ’s for anywhere from $400 up to $3,000.  You don’t have to pay top dollar to get great value.  You don’t want to lowest possible price because that doesn’t usually mean you will get someone with the skill sets required to run a great wedding.  But at the end of the day, you need to have a comfort level with your choice and should never sign a contract or make a commitment to someone that you are reluctant to hire.
