Planning your wedding is an exciting time! The DEPOT HOTEL RESTAURANT and GARDEN has had the honor of hosting many ceremonies, weddings, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. No matter how many “special events” we do, we always remember that this is a most important day in the life of the bride and groom. This special day, surrounded by family and friends who have come to celebrate with you, is one filled with many happy memories for years to come.

The historic DEPOT RESTAURANT and GARDEN in Sonoma, with its romantic restaurant and Italian garden, is the perfect setting for weddings ceremonies and receptions. Quietly located one block off the historic Sonoma Plaza, the DEPOT RESTAURANT and GARDEN is a beautifully restored plum stone building, one of the landmarks of the lovely "Valley of the Moon" in California's wine country. We are just one hour north of San Francisco.

Our restaurant features charming "country-inn" style decor in shades of  gold and cream. Inside the historic stone building is seating for approximately 100 guests, year round. The dining rooms are decorated with antique Italian china, antique copper, and tapestries. The entire back wall of the restaurant is glass, opening onto a beautiful Italian garden. This quiet garden, with shady flower-filled terraces, is decorated with topiary and statues. It surrounds a central reflection pool and Roman fountain. On the terraces outside there is seating for additional 100 guests, weathering permitting - which is nine months of the year in Sonoma.

Our goal is to make the planning process, and the wedding day itself, simple and joyful for the bride and groom. Our in-house Event Manager takes great joy in planning unique, personalized weddings—that truly reflect the desires and wishes of the bride and groom. The wait-staff is highly trained and skilled in anticipating a guest’s wishes. Our team of culinary professionals is led by a Chef of remarkable skill, creativity, and experience.
