We rented out the entire Breakers Inn for 2 days with some guests staying even longer. Every room is spacious, has ocean views, a fireplace, and a jacuzzi tub. The rooms are tastefully decorated with the themes of various countries and states. The hotel had just gotten new management when we decided to have our wedding celebration there, so making plans in the beginning was a bit scattered as everyone was learning new systems and who does what. We had a sense of being guinea pigs, but in a very wonderful type of experiment. They were very accommodating and without a doubt wanted to make sure we had a spectacular experience. Between our wedding and a few subsequent weddings I'm sure they've worked out the kinks to ensure a seamless experience.
We were the first wedding celebration to occur at the neighboring brand new gorgeous Shoreline Restaurant. Think award winning architecture, beamed ceilings, polished oversized redwood tables, lots of glass and iron and VIEWS VIEWS VIEWS. Eric, his wife Susan, George the GM, and Shinzo the chef, were absolutely accommodating making sure they understood every detail. Even with this attention to detail things are bound to happen. We were set to have plated service, but when my husband and I arrived we found that there wasn’t enough room between the 3 rows of tables in the main room for servers to get through. They found a solution by setting a buffet service on the outdoor patio. If you want plated service, I suggest only 2 rows of tables. The buffet line did make the dinner take longer which reduced the amount of people who were up for dancing once we finally got to that part of the night. However, the ambiance and food, (and Susan’s delicious chocolate mousse) were so inviting and the conversation so lively that it hardly mattered. We are still receiving compliments on the food and the professionalism and service of the staff. Overall, we couldn’t have have been more pleased with our stunning coastal wedding. Thank you!
