Charles King is a guitarist - composer who has lived in Tucson for the past 20 years.  Charles performs regularly for corporate events, private parties and weddings. Charles graduated with a doctor's degree in guitar performance from the University of Arizona where he won numerous prizes including the Haldeman Scholarship and the Sholin Guitar Competition.  He has been on the music faculties of the University of Arizona and Wichita State University.  As an Artist in Residence in North Carolina, he performed concerts, programs and workshops throughout the Southeastern United States. In addition to classical guitar, Charles also plays jazz and flamenco.  He composes music which incorporates idioms from each of these styles.  Collaborating with some of Tucson's finest musicians Charles recorded Tucson Nights, a CD of original music.  Charles makes his home in Tucson and performs regularly in the Southwest as a soloist and with the Latin jazz trio Con Brio.
