I do offer tasting by appointment only and require at least 2 days notice, as everything, even samples are made fresh.
Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
cakes are priced per slice, as well as design is taken into concideration as well. I work with a bottom line so there is never any surprizes for my brides. Putting together their wedding day should be a joyous time for them. They always know what their bottom line is, I keep it very simple for them.
Does the price include the top tier of the cake?
The cost includes the top tier. We offer, to our brides only a fresh wedding cake top on their first year anniversary. There is a very small fee. I ask what resturant he is taking his lovely bride to and some of my husbands get so creative it is wonderful to see!!!!!!! P.S. All my brides love this service!!!!!
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
Everything we create is unique to my bride. If she has a photo she would like to send to me GREAT!!
What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?
Some of the ingredients we use is fresh eggs, a lot of them. Some times we will use fresh hand picked fruits. We will not send a cake out unless it is of the highest quality. The ingredients we use are high end so the taste will honor my bride or any party we may be doing.
On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
The cake is made fresh and frozen over night only so it will cut clean the next day. I do not have cakes laying around premaid that anyone can pick up.
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
I do all inclusive work, the flowers on the cake I hand pick myself. I place them on the cake with extra care so they can drink and not take the moisture from the cake itself. I also offer a full table set up to my brides.
What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?
At the time of interview, I speak to my bride about how she would like the cake table to look, It is a photo taking ceramony and all of my brides appreciate the attention to detail.
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
I have always had free delivery and will continue to do so. My bride will always have a delicious experience with Cakes On The Move because I deliver them personally.
