brendon is a wedding photographer based in birmingham, alabama. he was born and raised in the boston, MA area, before moving to birmingham in 2002. like many photographers, his appetite for creative photography sprung from an experience with a now-antiquated consumer-grade camera, and quickly grew as he nurtured his passion over the years by shooting portraits and landscapes on his own.

 

self-taught, brendon looked to transition into a career in photography. brendon was hired to manage and shoot for a large birmingham and atlanta metro wedding photography studio full time. three years later, he decided it was time to explore his creativity further by opening his own wedding studio, and he continually enjoys providing brides with personable service and artistic interpretations of the most wonderful day of their lives.  brendon spends most of his free time with his wife, laura, and his three year old twins, abby and jackson (they are frequent models of his...you can find plenty of photos of them on his blog, and on his family photography website, 5pointsphotography.com).

 

brendon shoots on the Canon 5D Mark II. a purist at heart, he uses prime lenses, which, though more demanding on the photographer than zoom lenses, offer the sharpest focus, highest image quality, and most creative flexibility. brendon embraces a candid and fresh style of photography. he uses unique composition techniques, negative space and carefully placed focal points to draw the eye to the emotion in an image.
