Melanie is absolutely awesome, and I have nothing bad to say about her. Our day went flawless and she was a huge part of that. She was our #1 "money well spent" vendor. She sent me the schedule for the day about a week before the wedding -- from there I was able to tell the wedding party/family when and where they needed to be. After looking at the schedule she gave us I was skeptical that she could get that many people rounded up and take pictures, but she did it! Most the time our transitions were ahead of schedule. It made for one less thing to worry about on the big day;)

For us she had a second shooter that went with me in the morning while I was getting ready, then Melanie went with my husband for an early morning Fishing shoot with him and his brother. The second shooter stayed with us all day and was able to get a different perspective. I thought she did a great job too, very pleasant and personable!

After researching several photographers in the Quad City area I thought the prices were very reasonable in comparison. That isn’t the only reason we chose Best Days; Melanie was very prompt at returning any and all emails (which ended up being a lot!) from me, and was flexible for time changes and such. We had a great time with her, and most importantly it wasn’t the normal awkwardness with her as it is with so many other photographers (what’s up with that anyways?!). For the wedding and our engagement session she was able to make us feel comfortable enough to catch and capture us acting our normal selves.

Of course after we got the pictures back we thought they were awesome! She did a great job capturing every moment of the day!!

Hands down the best investment we made towards our big day:D

My husband, our entire family and I were utterly impressed and completely thrilled with Melanie Bishop and Best Days Photography throughout the process, from the day we signed her until the day we picked up our album and prints. We interviewed several photographers across the pricing spectrum, and in the end Best Days won overall. Melanie was easy and fun to work with and offered options no other photographer could, for a better price. Her command of the day, creativity, professionalism, storytelling photographic style and eye for detail are unmatched. She and her assistant got pictures of moments that we would have forgotten, or not even known had happened - moments such as my mother and sister spontaneously holding hands in the pew, and our niece playing with my husband’s boutonniere - which became priceless memories when we saw the photos.

Melanie was awesome! She really captured intimate moments in both my engagement and wedding photos. She doesn't do a lot of posed pictures, and her gift is anticipating those moments and capturing them. Those things and times that you may not have even realized were happening but that you'll always be forever grateful that you have the memory of. She let me say what I liked and wanted, and was so flexible! She shot my sisters wedding as well as driving 3 hours to take family pictures 2 years later!
