In the movie "Anna and the King" Prince Chulalongkorn reflects, "It's surprising how small a part of life is taken up by meaningful moments; most often they're over before they start." A wedding day is like that; sometimes it seems it's over in the blink of an eye. When a father walks his daughter down the aisle and thinks back on the last 25 years or so, it seems that way again - the blink of an eye. It's those moments we love to capture, because we know how much they mean, how important they are, and how quickly life changes.

We have been lifelong photographers, and have had the good fortune to photograph in some of the most beautiful places in the world. Six years ago, when life circumstances returned us to our home town to care for aging moms, we turned our passion into our business. And while we love to photograph all kinds of subjects, from nuptials to nature, it's weddings that capture our imagination. After thirty years of marriage ourselves, we love the feel of the wedding day and the emotion it offers.

Fashion Journalism

We are husband and wife, photographing together with different but complimentary shooting techniques. We focus on capturing each moment in a style of photography we call Fashion Journalism, a blend of spontaneity and fashion, of photo-journalism and classic presentation. Each picture we deliver as a designer image is not simply captured in the camera, but personally interpreted and presented in a manner that will bring out your true nature. We want your images to be the kind that could grace the cover of any bridal or fashion magazine.

Our policy is to arrive before your wedding day, and to attend your rehearsal. We want to know the details of your ceremony.  We want to meet your family and your bridal party and know them by name. Your wedding is more than a sacred ceremony; it's a family reunion and a celebration with friends. We want to capture every nuance of every smile, every laugh with friends about the old times, every tear when you look into the eyes of your parents or your grandparents.

Who We Are

We like to say we are a husband and wife imaging team specializing in meaningful moments. Three quarters of our business is made up of weddings, which have always been our first love. In both 2010 and 2011 we were named "Best Event Photographer in Colorado" by the International Special Events Society; we have been awarded "Best Wedding Album" in the eight-state southwest region of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA); we have received multiple "Accolades of Excellence" from the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International; we won the Knot's "Hot Spot" contest for the most iconic Colorado photograph, which graces the home page of The Knot Colorado; and in 2011 we were were one of ten finalists worldwide in the PPA's International Print Competition, putting us in the running for the Grand Imaging Award in early 2012, the PPA's highest honor in wedding photography.
