The story of our wedding
My husband Matt and I got engaged five months after we met. Matt is originally from London so we had visited some of my favorite spots in the U.S. After spending a few days in the Carmel/Big Sur area, we knew this is where we wanted to get married. We selected the Hyatt Carmel Highlands Inn, overlooking Big Sur, for its backdrop, location and food. It was an intimate gathering with friends from NY, London and Seoul. All the guests commented on the beautiful setting and the amazing quality of food.
As far as some memorable moments, our flowers ended up getting "lost," so we found and amazing florist Tammy Chin at Decolore Flores. In less than 24 hours, Tammy put together the bridal bouquet, corsarges and centerpieces that were even better than Plan A. Many of my guests who didn't know the backstory, complimented the unique and exquisite flowers.
The weather turned out to be colder, windier and foggier than we expected. But our photographer Ian was able to produce beautiful and vibrant pics that made the haziness look more dreamlike. Our cake was delivered by Lalla Catering. Elaine created the exact type of cake I requested and it was beautiful, delicious and inexpensive. All in all, our wedding day was the most magicial, joyous and spectacular day for us.
