The story of our wedding

My husband and I met at work and unexpectedly fell in love. We wanted our day to be a pretty low maintenance affair. We kept the guest list as small as possible and chose a very cozy venue. We served hors d'oeuvres and had an open bar where we served wine and beer. Most of our decorations were DIY and we let Spotify be our DJ.

Our officiant was a co-worker who we consider a very good friend. We are both huge nerds (Harry Potter, Marvel, Star Wars, video games, you name it) and we wanted to incorporate that into our big day. I am also a bit of a flower child, so I had to give our wedding an aesthetic goal it would've been "nerdy boho chic".

We had moments of our ceremony that were an homage to Harry Potter. Other highlights included a Hufflepuff wedding hastag, Star Wars tie clips, Disney wedding cake, and wand wedding photos.

Even the weather wanted our day to be special. The rain stopped in time for us to get married outside and as soon as we were under the awning after the ceremony it started up again. It was clearly meant to be!
