The Very Beginning: How We Met
June 2014 - The summer had just begun. Bruce flew up to Boston from New Jersey to visit a friend from college. He was really looking forward to the Zac Brown Band concert in Fenway Park at the end of the week. A few days before the show, Bruce and his friends decided to check out a new country bar - Loretta’s Last Call. As fate would have it, Jen took a break from studying (for the first time in about a year) and ventured to the same bar. After eating some pretty lousy nachos, Jen found herself out on the dance floor. Out of nowhere, a young man came up to her and said, "I just have to tell you how beautiful you are." This very brave, charming, and handsome fella turned out to be Bruce (shocking, I know). Bruce’s friends left that night, but he stayed with Jen. In fact, they have been together ever since. For two years, they took turns making the 600-mile roundtrip EVERY weekend. If you don’t believe in love at first sight, think again. To this day, Bruce tells Jen she is the most beautiful woman in the room every chance he gets.

The Proposal
Jen moved to New Jersey to be closer to Bruce in September of 2016. She was on his case about getting engaged for the better part of the following year. On the morning of November 25, 2017, Bruce suggested an impromptu trip to NYC to see the Statue of Liberty - something Jen had wanted to do for a long time. Jen had gotten her hair done the evening prior, and Bruce wanted to "show her off." When they arrived at the ferry to Ellis Island, Bruce realized he never purchased tickets. Jen quickly went on her phone and booked their itinerary for the day. Fast forward to several hours later, just before sunset - Bruce and Jen are staring up at the Statue of Liberty. Bruce is very adamant about getting a photo with Lady Liberty in the background. After numerous selfies fail to make the cut, Bruce approaches a stranger and asks her to take the picture. Jen is still pretty clueless at this point and tries telling Bruce that they do not need any more photos. Before Jen has time to realize what is happening, Bruce is down on one knee. Amazingly enough, the stranger holding Bruce's phone captures the entire proposal on film - including the part where Jen says, "yes!"
The Wedding
Bruce and Jen spent the following year planning their big day. Jen, being the perfectionist that she is, made sure to arrange every last detail of her dream wedding. When that magical day finally came, it was everything they had imagined. It was a perfect day, and there was absolutely nothing they would change.
