The story of our wedding
Andrew and I were stationed in Florida at the time, but we planned our wedding in Ann Arbor, Michigan—the city where we’d met—for the only day we knew he’d be on leave from flight training in the Marine Corps, December 23. The day of the wedding, we woke up to beautiful, fresh-fallen snow—I took that as a good sign! Luckily, our ceremony and reception both took place at Weber’s Inn, limiting the time anyone would be driving on the snowy roads. We were able to take pictures all over campus at the University of Michigan, our alma mater, and celebrate long into the night with our family and friends. My favorite parts were my early morning workout with my bridesmaid (who came back from teaching in Spain just for the wedding), the Marine Corps sword arch, the bus ride to take pictures, our choreographed dance, and hitting the hotel bar with my parents and bridal party. I wouldn’t have traded a minute of it for the world!
