Has anyone created their Wedding Website and Registry on Zola. Curious how the process is, as I've been reading mixed review (mostly about the registry). Seems like most people have loved it at first, but had some issues with returns and product shipment following the wedding. Just curious, as I need to start this process within the next couple of months.

Watch out! I used Crate and Barrel as well as the Zola registry and have had an awful go with the Zola part. I had plates from them and they were trashed within 6 months. I would think a dining set would last longer than that for 2 adults usually just eating 1x/ day on them.

Since it was outside the return window, they say there is nothing they can do. So be sure to keep your registry to known retailers so you can speak to a real person if there is an issue. And, avoid Canvas Home Shell Bisque 4-Piece Place Setting - they are cool plates, but just do not hold up.

Do not use! Has been a terrible experience. Their website will not update the registry from outside vendors. I’ve gotten several gifts in multiples and their site is still saying it’s not fulfilled. I can’t even get anyone from their support team to respond to me. Go elsewhere!!!

Zola is now shipping factory seconds and damaged items without telling you or the people who buy you gifts. I have now received 2 previously opened and damaged items from Zola. You cannot return them to the original vendor only Zola for Zola credit. This happened with items from both Crate and Barrel and a set of Parachute sheets. This is an absolute scam. They charge your friends full retail and sell you discount damaged items or factory seconds.

After I got engaged (many months before I knew anyone would be shopping for gifts), I switched between Zola, The Knot, Blueprint, and MyRegistry, and ultimately chose MyRegistry! I’m using Minted for my wedding website so I could customize it more, and from the registry-only perspective, MyRegistry was perfect! I was able to keep my individual store registries, which I felt was important for guests that prefer to shop in-store, they have a little bubble on the corner of items on the list letting guests know when a retailer is having a sale, I can add gifts from other retailers easily using their browser extension, and because it links back to my individual retailer registries, shipping has been no problem! Highly recommend!

One thing I HATE about Zola is that I can't copy the addresses of the various events (rehearsal dinner, wedding, reception, etc.) onto a single piece of paper so I have it at hand. I complained about this, but they did nothing to help.. I have no idea how my niece and future nephew like the service Zola provides, but do newlyweds really want their guests to travel 1500 miles and spend a load of money only to get lost trying to find the time and place of the reception or the wedding itself? Zola believes in creativity, but maybe they could learn a lesson in human kindness.

Zola was by far the worst wedding-related experience I had while planning. The registry is not intuitive and doesn't update properly. We had so many instances where we had to manually update the registry - adding back items Zola said were purchased that weren't and marking items purchased that were delivered and Zola said were still available. Their customer services isn't helpful at all, they have no control over anything so they really are useless and they take a while to get back to you. It will be less of a headache to give guests multiple registry links and let them look through them independently to search for your gift.

This is an old post, but I just have to leave this review somewhere 😂 I do not recommend Zola. The items are way overpriced for the quality you get. The most frustrating part for me is that a good 10-15% of the items I listed on my registry were unavailable, so the guests who tried to buy them for me just had their money auto converted to store credit. Why doesn’t Zola just remove those items from their website??

I’m now trying to use that store credit to buy a bag, it’s been over 15 business days now (they promise shipping in 5-10 days), and the customer service rep I was emailing with stopped responding. I also can’t get anyone on the phone. So I’m assuming the bag I ordered was another one of their items they list but don’t actually have in stock. Remains to be seen if they actually respond to my inquiry or just ghost me and take my money…

I can confirm I had the same experiences! Tons of my items came late or never at all. When you start to ask about it, customer service ghosts you.

Now I’m SUPER nervous, I have someone names Melissa who tells me I need to get things going, however when I do and encounter issues NO ONE has ever responded. I’ve ordered my invites and PAID for them to be expedited. I haven’t heard one thing yet and decided to check the reviews. What the heck have I done, everyone on here has experienced what I’ve experienced and now I’m nervous. Why does the world just wanna rip everyone off when it should be the most amazing time of our lives. We need to contact media on this one.

I would not recommend Zola at all.

First, we received our order damaged and I provided proof that the edges had dents. Then they were only offering a 20% refund which I didn’t understand because it wasn’t our fault that it came like this. Then it took a week to just get in touch with management. They finally gave me credit for my order so I can get a whole new order.
Second, it was already two weeks and a half. I received my new order. This time I ordered black and white and it did not come out right. The print was brighter than the example picture.
Now it’s been a month, delayed my timeline for sending out invitations. I can’t even extend and wait for another order, which I know will take another week. It’s so ridiculous how slow their turnaround time is with responding. It was such a disappointment.
