Would i still get a bridal shower?

Halle, on September 15, 2019 at 2:30 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 9
I have recently decided to have a courthouse wedding with a small get together /dinner with close family afterwards . Since I’m not having a wedding should I still be expecting a bridal shower ? Is it bad etiquette to have one and no wedding ? I’m getting married in 70 days and I’m not asking anyone to throw me one I was just curious

Only people invited to the wedding are invited to a bridal shower. Since you aren’t inviting people to a wedding there would be no one to invite to a shower

I don’t see anything wrong with having some friends over for a little engagement celebration even if it’s not a gift shower. Maybe some mimosas and cake or something. Also shout out to an almost date twin! It’s so hard to find exact date twins on a Sunday!

I would never expect a shower even if I was having a $100k black tie wedding. If someone offers to host one for you, you can still accept, but only those invited to the get together/dinner should be invited.

Do whatever you want! You’ll only be allowed about 10 people in the courthouse... but you could throw a party after. I’m also getting married in the court in 20 days! But, we are planning a nice reception/little ceremony type thing exactly a year later, where we will invite people. But seriously, do whatever you want.
