What is the average wait time to get photos from the photographer?

Hi all! I’m being more patient than my family, friends and coworkers who are bugging me to see photos from our wedding about 3 weeks ago... I have almost nothing to show at the moment, just a few snaps friends sent me! My photo contract does not specify and I’m currently reaching out to find out more... but just wondering what’s a normal wait time? I’m sure there are horror stories of having to wait months and months- is be happy to just have a teaser to show around at this point!

    The average I’ve seen is about 6-8 weeks. But some are quicker and some take longer!

    It depends on the photographer and especially the season. Our contract specifies 6-8 weeks during non peak times and 8-10 weeks in the peak season.

    Ours took 3 months but she did send a few sneak peaks after I asked her.

    We got our sneak peek, with a good number of photos, exactly a month after the wedding (wedding on 7/20, sneak peek on 8/20). We are still waiting on the rest. Also, our photographer is just him and an assistant he hires as a 2nd shooter, and not a large company. I think the bigger companies have faster turn around times because they hire people specifically for editing.

    Mine said 4-6 weeks. I just got my pictures back today, on the start of the 4th week!

    Daughter received 50 sneak peeks within 3 days. Her contract stated she'd have all her photos in 10-12 weeks. I think she received them around 9 weeks. Unfortunately, without it stipulated in your contract they can send them whenever they want to....
