We're Married! (And my horse was a bridesmaid!)

A little late posting this but we got married just over 3 months ago. The planning was pretty much stress free (with lots of DIY), the day was perfect and relaxed and low key - we had a blast! We got married in the Greek Church and then had our reception outside. My wonderful husband graciously allowed my horse to be a bridesmaid in the wedding and we had a custom made "bridle gown" for her to match the other bridesmaids. Dinner was served family style under a tent and the rest of the reception and dance floor was outside under the stars. We had the greatest day ever! Enjoy the photos!

Omg I love how you incorporated your horse in the wedding. I'm trying to do the same with my our horse. He's very important since that is where we met, we have racehorses so he's very important to us!!

What a GORGEOUS MARE. Fabulous wedding omg.

ETA: I have to ask what style of riding you do. She looks like a hunter jumper.

    SO MUCH LURVE.

OP, I'm guessing Saddlebred? Her posture and the mane braid tipped me off. Do you ride saddleseat?

Absolutely beautiful without the horse...but obviously better with!

Wow! Thank you EVERYONE for all the kind words about our photos! Buffy is an American Saddlebred. She had a bit of a rough start to her life and was really misunderstood. I really related to her because I felt the same way after returning home from my deployment to Afghanistan. We helped each other heal and have been together ever since. So she was just as important to me as my other 6 bridesmaids up there Smiley smile Luckily my non horse husband gets it and graciously shared our day with my Neighed of Honor.

I snorted like a moron at "Neighed of Honor." I also seriously appreciate that you got her a blanket to match the other bridesmaids.

You basically lived my dream, but I could not possibly consider bringing my horse anywhere around an event like a wedding. He's such a giant sissy... he'd *probably* hurt someone and would *definitely* hurt himself.
