Welcome Dinner Entertainment

Erica, on October 6, 2020 at 3:38 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8

We're hosting a welcome dinner for all our guests the night before our wedding. It's going to be pretty casual, but include a bar, dinner, games... and we're actually going to cut and serve our wedding cake at our welcome dinner (long story, but we're fine with it!)

My question is if we should get a DJ or not. On one hand, we'd be happy putting on a playlist from someone's phone for the evening... but we'd still need a speaker system and mics, plus it might be nice to have someone to MC the evening to help coordinate our cake cutting, toasts, etc.

Would love any thoughts!

We didn’t have a DJ or any activities at our rehearsal. We just enjoyed a good meal with good company.

For a welcome dinner, keep it simple and casual. It's not a mini wedding. Dinner and mingling is plenty for most.

I personally wouldn't have a dj for a welcome dinner

    Hi Yasmine,

Thanks for the tip! Any chance you have the name or the link for the radio and mic you used? Thanks!

It was an "Axcess speaker with microphone". I believe you can get them from walmart, amazon, etc. It worked perfectly for us!
