We toured 5 venues, but got information from over 30. I found the best sources to be Wedding Wire and The Knot venue search, the Yelp and Google Reviews.

I'm not sure 'cheap' and 'Boston' ever go together. But looking at winter dates and doing something on a weekday will save you a lot of money. If you are set on a Saturday during the summer, I just don't think you will find 'cheap' here. (Also, I have no idea what your definition of cheap is)

I think it also depends on how far outside of Boston you consider 'the Boston area.' If you're looking around Boston proper, I'm not sure you're going to find much in terms of 'cheap.'

MA native here! Have you looked into Castle Island?! It's in the Boston area and I know a couple of people who have gotten married there! It's gorgeous! The Boston Public Garden would also be perfect but I'm not sure how pricey it is (and it can be kind of crowded!)

The Endicott estate, Dedham MA

The Colonial Hotel in Gardner has a tent and a bar for the after party. A friend went to a wedding there and loved it. Very inclusive
