Alright so honestly my FH and I truly didn’t want engagement pictures. We got engaged and are getting married all within 5 months, so we didn’t see the point. However, the photographers that we hired for the wedding had engagement pictures as part of the package and said they require it to get to know us better, to be better prepared for our big day. We took our pictures at 6 AM on a Saturday and let me tell you we are 100% sure we picked the right photographers for us. We had a blast with them and really enjoyed the session, but to make it all even better we hands-down LOVE the pictures they were able to capture. I’ve put a few of my favs attached.

I hesitated to do engagement pics too-they weren’t included in our package and so were extra $$. I finally decided we needed to do them and am SO glad I did. I am more confident in my choice of photographer and far more comfortable in front of the camera now. Plus we got some truly fabulous pics! I encourage it for any couple that can do it.

Thats great! We added an engagement session when we didnt plan for one for the idea of meeting with them and getting to know them first as well! Great pics just nice to have

Yes, I will totally recommend to everyone in the future to have a session done with their photographers to get the quirks and awkward worked out. Really worth it to get to know them beforehand.
