Yesterday my mom and girls threw me a beautiful surprise shower. It was so nice. I received many thoughtful and wonderful gifts but I have to say I tear up everytime I look at this. It is from my mom- my something old, something new, something borrowed something blue. It’s a pin to wear in my dress.
The old was my Nana’s wedding ring,
The new- a Pandora heart charm,
The borrowed- my mom’s pearl and diamond pendant
The blue is an angel pin my Grandmom always wore which reminded her of my Goddaughter, her other granddaughter who passed away when she was 5.
My Grandmom and Nana have both passed and I miss them greatly every day, especially now planning our wedding.
This represents three important women who have (and had) strong long marriages that I hope and pray Mike and I can mirror.
