Does anyone have any pointers on how to make writing thank yous less exhausting?

We sent them as the gifts came and after the wedding we tried to write 10 a day. My husband wrote the ones from his people and I wrote the ones from mine.

We are doing ours as a date night! We are cooking dinner and having champagne and making treats while writing them!

As pp said start early. Personally I'm great at writing cute Ty notes but with all the aftermath of wedding planning that was on my brain I went to my fallback "Google" and looked for what to say in a Ty card for wedding gifts in the following categories...cash gifts, gift cards, actual gifts, the vendors and even to those that attended...haha. Once you find some sayings in Google, then personalize according to the gift given. We were leaving for our honeymoon day 2 of being married so we started writing Ty cards the night we were married. It made it so much easier while it was fresh on our mind. We didn't want to cash checks until the Ty card was written. By the time we stepped into our honeymoon cruise all Ty cards had been mailed. When we returned from the honeymoon 8 days later gifts were still coming in and I'm so glad we started early writing Ty cards.

Probably not applicable to everyone, but I'm hauling them with me everywhere and using my "free time" as writing time. For instance, I spend two hours every Friday at dance with my kiddos....thank you time! Karate time....thank you time! Lol. They're just staying in the car with me so any time I have a few minutes I can work on them.

I wrote the note, and H did the address, stamp, and the return address stamp (at least he was supposed to...I ended up doing half of them because I was tired of waiting on him to do it lol.)
