Taking Engagment/ family photos

I've never had my photos professionally taken and my fiancé and I are taking our engagement and family photos . there is 8 kids my fiancé and I . What should we wear to coordinate but not look too matchy matchy any help on this

We chose black for our “save the date” picture. We have 3 kids together. 1 other girl on left our adult son’s gf. You can coordinate them in colors or theme. Happy planning!

With a group that large, I do think it looks nice if there is a color palette that everyone's outfit is within, but not too "matchy." Depending on what everyone already has I've seen some beautiful family portraits where everyone is wearing various shades of soft blues, white, creams, with maybe some contrasts like burgundies. NOT everyone in blue denim jeans and white button downs, but all within a group of color families. Choices might include subtle patterns like soft plaids or small florals that fit within the color palette. The result is harmonious, but not uniform. You could do browns, tans, creams, greens, with a pop of coral.... There are tons of choices and you might want to consider the season and background. Fall leaves? The beach? The family backyard? Good luck getting great photos you'll love!

Like MOB So Cal said, I think a color palette is a good idea to keep you are complimentary without being overly-matching!
First I'd start with how formal or casual you want the pictures to be, think about the location, then pick some colors! There's also tons of "family photo outfits" inspiration on Pinterest! 😉
