We went to the grand canyon to go camping in celebration of graduating with my masters. After a pretty difficult hike, I took a break, and he went "to look for good picture locations" later he found me and said to come look at this view. He had already asked someone there to take video of us, but when we went together he asked them to take a photo of us, so I didn't catch on. He asked me on the edge of the canyon. It was definitely a surprise. Apparently he tried to ask a few times during the hike, but I wanted to keep on going lol. We did set up our go pro a few times to take video along the way. The ring was mostly a surprise, but he knew my style!

We were in Tennessee and drive to Gatlinburg. We went on the skylift and were talking like normal, but on the way back down we had a gorgeous view of the smokey mountains. He asked how I liked the view, and I said it was perfect, then he asked me to be his wife. It was incredibly romantic and a complete surprise, which when he will tell you he is terrible at (surprises). He was getting my ring custom made in Australia, so he got a pink Qualo until the ring came in. He said he just couldn't wait any longer. ❤ (The picture was our view.)

It was 100% a surprise! He had said when we started dating that he never wanted to get married again. We'd both previously been married so I was fine with that. The relationship was great and we we're living together and discussing buying a bigger house and all that. I had however always thought it would be cool if he changed his mind to propose during or after one of our karate belt tests. Never told a sole this since I honestly didn't think marriage was going to be a thing. Then for our blue/black belt test he woke up late and was annoyed he didn't have time to shower and shave first which was weird cause we were about to get hella sweaty. So we go through the belt test and the sensei was doing it oddly quickly. FH hurt his knee during the test so I figured that's why. So we finish and we are just standing there talking with our newly earned belts and he drops to his knee. Which of course makes me put my hands on my hips cause I'm like seriously let's get home and ice your dang knee. Next thing I know he's all flustered and pulled out the most perfect ring. I was blown away. My dream came true!

He actually took me to my brothers grave! And my siblings and parents where there! They actually had a part in the proposal.. after they did there thing made fiancée actually gave me a speech then went down one knee! I kind of had a felling it was going to happen soon! But I was in shock and really didn’t do much! And I let him pick out the ring!

We had been talking about if for a while so I knew it was coming just not when. His family was in from out of town and we went out looking at Christmas lights. He had my Dad text me and ask us to go look at his house because he did something ‘kinda special’. Long story short the fence lights were on a switch and he proposed. Then I turned around and our entire family was there. The ring was a surprise as he had it custom made. I’m the luckiest woman ever 😍

FH took me out to Aladdin one night. We got a hotel in the city had a nice dinner and headed to the show. It was raining once the show was done but he insisted we walk back to the hotel. About halfway back he stopped in front of this beautifully lit building and popped the question. I knew he was going to ask at some point but had no idea when. The ring was a complete surprise and everything was just perfect. Only bad part was the ring didnt fit and the wait to get it back from being sized eas excruciating!

Who did the proposing?

How did they do it? Was the proposal a surprise? Was the ring a surprise??
Well we had spoken about marriage very early in our relationship, we knew it's something we both wanted and he always said he wants to plan the perfect surprise. I grew up in church and the majority of proposals around me were in the church as a symbol of making a commitment before God, family and friends. He knows about my commitment to my faith and he was iffy about it to the point where he said forget about me proposing at church because he felt it should be an intimate surprise and I compromised because it's something he hasn't been exposed to unlike me. Eventually we started looking at rings and I found the Vera Wang Love sapphire collection. Blue is my favorite color and I fell in love with some of the styles. He was so against it because he never thought about a ring with colored stones. To me it was everything because I wanted to be different. He wasn't crazy about the idea but didn't shut me down. We had gone to Zales many times and in our last trip to Zales this January, just browsing I found "the one". But we left the store contemplating and it was at an amazing price!! Before we left the mall he took me back and purchased it with me, I was all smiles. Now the waiting game began of when he was going to propose. I felt like I was going to be on edge for a while and had to always have my hair and make-up done along with my nails 😂 little did I know that same night he was texting our family he was going to pop the question the very next day. Come Sunday, We're in church, and I see some odd activity from him but I didn't think anything of it lol its the end of the service and our pastor called us up. I'm like ummmm huh... Cause my guy isn't one to be at the front of the church. Our pastor said a few words and gave him the mic... He was tearing in like 3 seconds as he began speaking and BOOM my brother-in-law passed him the ring box and got down on one knee!!

He took to me a park that has kind of a funny meaning to us- Last January we went there, and it was beautiful and the setting was perfect for him to tell me he loved me for the first time. I was so ready for it, and I waited and waited and HE NEVER DID IT. He finally ended up telling me that night on his living room couch. So this time we went and he actually did it It was not a surprise at all, I had gone with him to pick out and pick up the ring, but it was still a really lovely gesture.

During our senior year of high school he worked at Disneyland and we were ALWAYS there. We had already been dating for a little over a year, one day we decided to ditch school and go and he told me he was going to marry me! He then had me pick a ring from a shop in downtown Disney that sold silver jewelry. That brings us to 15 years, and 4 kids later and we are finally doing it! Lol

FH proposed! We are big Star Wars fans and one of the things we used to do was collect the giant Star Wars Legos sets and build them. One night we were putting the Millennium Falcon together and as I opened a bag of Legos, a ring fell out! I stared at it for a while wondering what part of the aircraft it was 😂

My proposal story wasn't big but it was perfect, my fiancé and I love a local hotel and this is where we spent our first valentines day together, so after having a delicious dinner at home he made me homemade chicken marscela, he took me to the Broadmoor and walked with me around the lake, in February it was freezing, so we went inside and there was a grand fire place, he said to me I love you and here is your ring and I whisipered get down on one knee, I gladly accepted. My better half is my best friend and I can't wait to marry him he is my best friend

We actually made plans to spend a week in Mexico with some of his family for his birthday. We got there April 28 and stayed till May 5. His birthday is April 29. I was bugging him for MONTHS saying that Mexico would be a perfect place to get engaged and every time i was shot down! (We have been dating for five years now) When we got to our hotel, we immediately went to the beach. He was being so lovey and i didn’t know why! He ended up taking me out on this jetty and was being so sweet! he got down on one knee and i was completely surprised! I guess since he told me over and over again that it wasn’t going to happen anytime soon, i believed him! 😂

My FH proposed a few days before Christmas. Although we've been together for over 7 years and talked about getting married, the ring and proposal was a complete and romantic surprise!
We usually have his side of the family over for Christmas Eve dinner. This year we had to change it to Dec. 22nd because some nieces were going out of state for Christmas. So I cooked his favorite ham and everyone helped with sides. This is my favorite time of year! All the kids get to open family gifts that night. I'm snapping pics and so happy they like what we got them and that our son was happy with his gifts.
Then out of nowhere he asked if I wanted to open a gift early. I was a little shocked because we never open ours early. He hands me this small, thin box so I thought nothing of it. I'm smiling and unwrapping to find an empty box! Since I'm confused he asked me what the box says... It's a Thomas Kincade Cinderella ornament! I was so excited because I get our son and my FH a special ornament every year. Now, they got me one! Plus, Cinderella!! So I knew he must've hung it already like I do with theirs and began looking for it. When I found it there was something taped to the back. I thought maybe it was a light up ornament (seriously, total surprise). It was a beautiful ring carefully taped to the back and when I turned around in shock he was on one knee and I was crying. He asked me to marry him in front of all of his immediate family. So special! That was when I noticed the cell phones taking pics and video the entire time! I couldn't have imagined a more perfect proposal.
I really was an emotional mess so the video is kinda embarrassing. But I'll share the pic one of our friends took and the ornament. 😍😊 Don't mind the paint it's our accent wall Lol

Well, we've been dating since our senior year of high school, and we did discuss about getting married someday. I think towards last year is when I told him I was ready, at that time he started working at Kay's Jewelers as a part time job, my aunt was also working with him and somehow he managed to pick the ring for me without me really picking it out. He was very sneaky when I would go visit him at the mall and "try on" different rings on. He eventually showed my closest friends and family the ring in July of last year, so I was kinda expecting to get engaged around that time, well I was wrong. Lol In February of this year we went to Colorado for my birthday as present from him, I was certain I was going to get proposed there but I didn't!! So from that trip I really didn't wanna think about when he was gonna ask me and not think about it much. Then, once our 5th year anniversary came up of being together which was April 27 we went to this fancy Italian restaurant to have a nice dinner, I suggested to open our presents to each other while we waited for food, but he insisted not to he wanted to wait after the dinner. So, we had conversations during our dinner about our ups and downs during our 5 years together, then, one specific question he asked got me thinking..he asked "where do you see us in the future?" I said, "well married, living together, having kids, traveling, why do you ask?" He avoided my question and continued eating, as we were done, we headed back to his car, I handed him my present to him opened it up and said, well nothing is gonna top off what I'm gonna get you. I was so confused, but was very set of not thinking it was a proposal I was thinking he might be gotten me a watch I always wanted or something. He looked at me and said, babe, i love you so much and i...as he stopped he started turning red, i asked if he wanted to open up windows or walk outside and he was like NO i got this, close your eyes, so i did as every present he has given me he tells me to close my eyes. I opened them and there he was with the box and ring in his hand and asked. "Will you marry me." And now here we are. Got proposed in a car on our 5 year anniversary.

For my birthday weekend I had made plans to meet all my friends in Boston. Walking through Boston Common, we started looking for a tree we had carved our initials into years ago. We were looking at one tree and it said “will u marry me” and when I turned around he was on his knee! My friend who is a photog was there hiding snapping pictures! After he proposed he blindfolded me, and drove me all the way back to my parents house for a surprise party with all our friends and family !! It was perfect ❤️
